Luna glanced at the other trainer, a bit worried. The heat was definately not good for those who weren't use to it. Well, hopefully she'd survive. Luna took out a cold waterbottle from her backpack and tossed it across the field to the other trainer. "Catch!" She shouted. "You better keep hydrated!"
She attempted to split her attention between her opponent and the battle, which she found to be fairly difficult. Catching movement from the edges of her vision, she turned around after she had tossed the battle to see Glace charge at Nine again. Was icefang the only attack he could do or something? Well, if it was, she would definately have fun making creative ways to block it. Or, better yet, make Nine do the thinking.
Nine noticed that her trainer had stayed silent. She could FEEL the smirk on her trainer's lips without even having to look. She was testing her. Nine snorted inwardly. Well then, she would just prove herself once more.
Her tails sharpened to the stregth of iron. As Glace approached, they waved around dangerously. At the sight of the perfect opening - when Glace's mouth was fully opened, she jammed her tail into his mouth, allowing him to freeze the tail but at the same time, he left his mouth open, literally, for her own attack.
Nine tested to see if she could stick her tail in any further, hoping to cause the glaceon to choke because of his natural gag reflex. And as her tail moved, the sharp iron fur would also aggrevate his mouth with many bleeding sores.

Sunnie stood up briefly just to catch the bottle. She stumbled backwards a bit, but managed to open it up and chug some of it down. "Wheww... hey, thanks! How nice..." Sunnie almost hoped that she wouldn't end up beating the nice trainer - she would just end up feeling bad.
Glace flew into Nine - unfortunately catching her iron tail right in the throat. He coughed and gagged on it until he managed to pull away. "Ahhhowhhhwhhhh... owww... my teeth..." He moaned as he rubbed his jaw, throbbing with pain. I won't let 'er win! I gotta do good! For my trainer! For my reputation! For FOOD! he thought to himself, getting ready to tackle Nine. He ran circles around her, hoping to make her dizzy, until he suddenly jumped in the air and flew in her direction.

"Can't let you faint on us, can we?" Luna said cheerfully, giving Sunnie a friendly wink. "Battling is all for fun anyways, so you have to stick around and enjoy it- Irontail!" She added. Sure, it may have looked like she wasn't paying attention to the battle, but she was a darn good multitasker!...when it didn't concern homework.
Nine was a bit relieved at the help of her trainer again. Not that she needed it, but she had a bit more confidence when she heard the human's voice guide her through the battle. Of course, Nine would never admit this. Nine's tails twisted around her protectively.
As Glace managed to make contact with Nine's chest, her tails soon followed after, threatening to impale Glace. But on the bright side, the heat was cooling down, if just by a bit.

Yes! I got 'er! Glace thought triumphantly. Unfortunately it was too soon to celebrate, as he didn't even see Nine's iron tail coming straight at him. He took a hard hit to the stomach, and was knocked back a few feet.
"Unnff!" he moaned as he flew back. This is getting a lot tougher... he thought as he panted, trying to keep himself standing.
"Ahh, Glace! You're getting tired!" Sunnie shrieked after seeing her glaceon take the blow. She knew she had to stop the ninetales at whatever cost. "Alright, Glace, we can do this... we just need to keep her still for a while!"
Glace nodded. He knew what to do... he was getting a bit bored of ice fang, but he knew that if things kept going this way, he would end up using his big finish. Just a little more to go... I can pull this around... then I get food!... He snarled at Nine, and ran in for his icy attack.

Nine put out her tail again to protect her, but she soon realized that she had forgotten to give them extra protection with iron tail when she saw ice creeping up her Oh 5#17! Both trainer and human thought.
Luna looked at Nine, biting her lower lip slightly. "Hang on Nine! We'll definately pull through!" She shouted encouragingly.

"Yessss!!" Sunnie said, jumping up for joy. "Alright, Glace! Let's make these two turns count!"
Glace nodded. He was going to take full advantage of Nine's situation. He strutted around her a bit before suddenly running towards her with full force. He hoped to send the frozen pokemon flying in the air.

"Nine!" She gasped, biting on her lip harder as she saw her pokemon tossed into the air and fall down hard onto the sand. Nine used all the willpower she had to move her partially frozen head to lock eyes with her trainer, giving her a reassuring gaze. Luna smiled weakly. We just have to believe, right?

Sunnie squealed with sheer joy and began running in circles on her trainer platform, excited to see Glace pull off such a crushing tackle. "Yayayay! Great job! You're getting poffins tonight!!"
Glace licked his lips at the name of his favorite snack. She was no cook, but he still loved the treats she made. Time to win myself some extra poffins! he thought with a grin, as he jumped upon the paralyzed Nine, ready to bite.

We won't get knocked around without a fight! Luna thought to herself. "Nine!" She shouted, hoping her desperate look would get through to her pokemon. Perhaps through some kind of weak telepathic link, Nine did get her trainer's unheard order. Dash!
Nine forced her muscles to MOVE as she jolted towards Glace suddenly, ice shattering around her. Nine let one of her tails whip out at Glace as she quickly passed him from the side. In a split second, the tail started glowing brightly as it made contact with Glace's mouth. Then, another eight tails followed, lashing out at the ice pokemon with iron sharp edges.

Glace bit into one of Nine's tails, but didn't have any time to celebrate - her other eight, now hard as steel, slammed into the top of his head. One after another, he took the onslaught until the area around him went blurry and spun around. His head thoroughly whipped and bloodied, he went limp and slipped off of Nine.
"Glaaace!" Sunnie shouted from above. Come on... you can do it... she thought, sweating vigorously and clenching her teeth. She knew she had to stop Nine from attacking again. "Glace... Glace! Are you there? Ice Fang again, please...!!"
Glace weakly stood up, wobbling from side to side, trying to focus on his opponent. Uh oh... now there's three of them...? he thought to himself, trying to keep himself up. I guess I should aim for the middle one... or um... something... With a sudden burst of energy, he ran (with a slight limp) somewhat in Nine's direction, icy fangs ready.

"Darn, again?" Luna said aside to herself. She glanced quickly at Nine's panting figure and at the approaching Glace. She judged that Nine's muscles still needed a bit more thawing, and the attack hitting looked likely. "Nine, sunny day!" She called out.
Nine's eyes glowed red as she attempted to force her limbs to move once again, but barely got nicked by Glace's fangs. But just a small hit was enough for the ice to begin crawling up her leg again. Nine winced, she really hated ice now. The sun glared even harder onto the battle field as Nine was partially encased again, but the ice was melting fast.
Luna didn't bother to wipe off the sweat that was now dampening her clothing. 'Melt fast ice!' She thought, glaring at the ice that confined her pokemon. Her heart raced faster as she waited for the other pokemon to make his move.
(Note that it's not really an attack or a booster, I just didn't want to type "dodge and failed" since that's kinda boring after a while o3o;; )

"OHGOSH, YAYY!" Sunnie shrieked, leaping into the air and clapping her hands furiously. Realizing how ridiculous she must look to her opponent, she calmed herself down quickly. "Um... er... I mean... Good job, Glace!" she said with a slight laugh. Oh boy did I just thoroughly embarrass myself...
As Glace ran towards Nine, aiming for her throat, he went dizzy and stumbled. After tripping up, he regained his footing after running past her a few yards. Did... I get her? He looked over his shoulder and saw the ninetails fully encased in ice. Hey... not too bad.. uhhnn... He swayed side to side, desperately trying to maintain consciousness.
Sunnie leaned over the trainer platform with anticipation, ready to see what her amazing pokemon would do next. "You got this, baby!" she shouted as she cupped her hands around her mouth... and then almost losing her balance and falling off. "Woahhoh! Uhh, you got this better than I do... You can do it!"
Glace stood motionless for a bit and waited for his trainer's command. "Huhh, what? What does she want me to do?" Too delirious to figure out that she trusts him completely, he went and attacked anyway. I hope I don't lose food for this... he thought as he started haphazardly dashing towards Nine. "Time for soccer! Wheee!" he shouted, getting ready to kick her frozen capsule high in the air.

Staring intensly at the battle, Luna barely noticed Sunnie's outburst. She was too busy being worried about her pokemon. Fiddling with her ponytail, she staired at the battle with clenched teeth. She felt hopeless. Nine probebly did so as well. And it SUCKED to feel hopeless. Seriously.
"Uhhh...ROLLLLLLLL NINE! ROLL!" Luna shouted.
Nine had regained control of some of her body again, although not much of it. She managed to thrust herself across the sand backwards, delaying the moment of impact from Glace's attack which resulted in a lesser impact. She went up a few inches in the air and rolled backwards, but was, for the most part, still alive and conscious. Thankfully.

Glace got up from the sand after doing a sliding kick into the iceball that was Nine. Unfortunately, he now suffered an irritating sand burn, but what did he care? He barely knew where he was anyway. "Woah... that ice ball is flying..." he said to himself as his vision blurred in and out of focus.
Sunnie gulped. She could tell that the sun was melting the ice faster than she thought it would, and that next turn, Nine would be free to attack. She had to make these next few turns count - she wanted nothing more than to have a successful first battle. Unfortunately, Glace didn't look so good, swaying back and forth while struggling to stand. How could she get him to attack?
Then it hit her - "Glace! Look at the ice, Glace!" she shouted down to her Pokemon. She pointed towards Nine and said, "Look, frozen ice! Food! Eat it!!"
Glace looked up and saw Sunnie pointing, and recognized one of the few English words he understood - food. Ooooh, that's food? She should've said so! he joyously thought to himself as he galloped vaguely towards Nine, fangs gleaming in the sunlight. Yum yum, time for a bite!
