Well, that hadn't been too helpful. Oh well, decision time then; he was really beginning to feel the burn of the sun upon his back. Giving a disgusted snort, the white stallion stepped back, keeping his horn lowered at the other Reya as he did so. "You, get lost," he snapped. "I beat your pansy arse once and I could do it again but believe you me boy; if you trouble me and mine again you'll lose more than a bit of pride."
This said, the blue-eyed Reya waited tensely for the other Nequus to act. He really hoped the stupid little bugger would up and run away; he didn't want to get any more fried by the sun than he already had.

Slowly rising he lowered his horn. "Kill me now old man, becaue if you don't i will hunt you down...I will kill that mate of yours, i'll kill that brat....any dirty halfbreeds you produce." He advanced slowly. "OR i will just do it now..."
Eira lifted her head and looked over, blinking. She got up, leaving the cave and , hurring over. "Morthan...." She stopped a few feet from the stallion. She wouldn't leave him alone out here when this idiot was so intent on killing them. As much as she wanted to hide in the cave she needed to help...and besides, she was growing more and more worried about Morthan as time went by.

Morthan growled. "Oh bugger this for a game of soldiers," he hissed, beginning to circle the other stallion in search of an opening. Just his luck to run into an utter psycho, and just like him to go all compassionate and let the idiot up. He should have slit the stupid brat's throat where he lay.
Snarling to the world at large, the white stallion rushed at his opponant. He hoped Eira would keep herself clear of the fight, he didn't want to see her get hurt for his stupidity. This was not, Morthan felt as he neared the other Reya, turning out to be his day.

The stallion glided to the side before he spotted the brown mare. With a quick wing beat he was up in the air, raiseing up above the pair. If he was lucky the older stallion would follow him.
Eira moved back nervously, wanting to help Morthan, but scared to get in the way. She looked towards the sun before looking back at her mate. It was a bright day out...And it was warming up a bit today. And Morthan had been out for a fair length of time. How badly would he be hurt if he didn't get back in. He was already cut up. The burning had to be making things worse. She nervously paced back and forth.

Morthan gave a snort of disgust; great, aerial battles were not his strong suit. It was hard to put any real power behind a blow without ground to brace yourself against and his flight skill wasn't exactly great to being with. Growling to himself, and attempting to ignore the increasing pain from his burning body, the blue-eyed Reya trailed his foe on ground level; if the stupid boy wanted to finish this, he'd have to come down sooner or later. When he did, Morthan suspected that the youth might well try to use a dive attack with either horn or hooves; getting hit by such a thing would not be good in the least and so the albino remained ready to dodge at a moment's notice.

Snorting the young Reya began to circle the older stallion, dipping down before moving out of easy reach. He began a lazy pace, yet fienged an attack once in a while. Down, back up again, down again and back up. On one such fake attack as he dodged left and went straight for Eira who stood alone to her side. He move quickly and in moments was mear moments from slicing into the now terrified mare.
Eira froze when she saw the stallion dart towards her. Closeing her eyes she braced herself and lowered her horn, hoping that at least her long horn might deflect some of the attack. However almost imediently she felt her head pulled down, something heavy on her horn. She dare not open her eyes for she knew what was only inches from her face. "Morthan...." She called weakly, struggling to just keep standing as her legs grew weak.
The little foal peeked out of the gave and ducked back inside as he spotted the grusome end of his tormenter.

When the stallion had gone for her his heart had almost frozen. It was beating again now though, very rapidly, and the white stallion hurried over to his mate and the dead Reya. Her horn had gone clean through his eye socket; a quick death he hadn’t deserved but at least the swiftness meant he hadn’t thrashed around and hurt Eira. Grasping some of the dead stallion’s tails in his teeth, the battered albino hauled the corpse off the Icha’s long horn.
Once the corpse was a little way away from the brown mare, Morthan released his grip on the tails to say; “I’ll get rid of it. You lad,” he nodded to the foal, “go down to the river over there with Eira while she washes up.” Doubtless she would want to, and if they were together they were safer. Giving his mate a reassuring smile, even if she hadn’t opened her eyes yet, Morthan lowered his head again. “I’ll be right back, love,” he promised before grasping the body again and hauling it away to a patch of bushes, where it could rot and feed the plants in peace.
Once the Reya was thus disposed of, the white stallion turned about hurriedly and cantered for the shade of the cave. He couldn’t see the damage done to him by the sun but he could feel it; his wings, back and face were on fire, his eyes ached from the brightness and his flanks werem't much happier. Later on when the sun was down, he decided as he slipped into blessed shade, he would have a nice long stand in the chill flow of the river, that would make him feel a little better.

Eira slowly opened her eyes, turing quickly, just to be sure she didn't see any sign of th dead Reya. "You rest in the cave, Morthan." she called shakely. "Ill be back once i get cleaned up." She looked down as the little foal came up beside her and smiled lightly. "I know what he said, but please go back and stay with Morthan. He's worse off then i am. I'll be fine." She hurried off to go get cleaned off.
"Yes ma'am." He nodded and hurried back to the cave. "She asked me to stay with you sir..." he said as he entered slowly. "I hope that is ok..."

Morthan smiled and nodded; there was no reason to expect more trouble, and if there was any no doubt she would call to him. “That’s fine,” the white Reya said aloud, dropping gratefully down to the cave floor, wincing at the hot stinging pain from his burns and blinking his dazzled eyes. “What your name then lad?” he asked, turning his pale gaze onto the crossbreed and blinking away bright afterimages of the sun. The little thing looked to be Ichsa and Jala blooded to him, slightly alien perhaps but adorable nonetheless. Reminded him a bit of the Bae crosses he’d met a while ago... what had they been mixed with? He couldn’t remember; either Ryea or Ichsa for sure though.

"I'm Naveen, sir." He said lightly. He hovered near the Reya nervously, unsure if it was even alright to stay. "I'm really sorry about all of this, i didn't mean for them to bother you..." He sighed softly. "But....I'm glad they didn't...i mean...least you were stronger then them...so your still alive....Mommy and Daddy weren't that lucky...."

The pale stallion sighed and shook his head; poor lad, it wasn't any fun to lose your parents young and to know they were dead rather than just to be separated from them must be all the worse. He'd always believed that his parents and his sisters were still out there somewhere and that had made him feel better about the aloneness, to wonder what games they might be playing and what happy memories of him they might be discussing and laughing over. If he hadn't had that he probably would have been a very miserable young creature indeed rather than just a somewhat lonely one.
"Don't worry about it, Naveen," he said with a smile as he spread out his sore wings to let the cool air of the cave get at them. "I've had to deal with idiots like those before... and I'm sorry about your parents. Oh, I'm Morthan by the by but you probably gathered that, eh?" When Eira got back he would have to pull her aside and talk to her; the colt needed somebody to look after him until he was big enough to take care of himself and they seemed to be the only candidates in the area. He hoped she'd agree, he wouldn't feel right telling the little green thing to go off on his own if he'd rather stay and be protected.

"Its alright...They were really sad so i think they might be happier now..." He smiled. "I mean they can't be hurt anymore. Mommy and Daddy were really sad alot...I think it was my fault accually...they kept me away from everyone else to keep me safe. I don't think Mommy and Daddy really liked each other that much but they liked me so they stayed together...Daddy tried to protect Mommy like you did with that other one and when Mommy got killed he took me and we ran away but we got attacked and they caught Daddy and he died too. That was a long time ago but its in the past now...I try not to think about it to much."
Eira returned shortly, entering the cave and moving to the two. "How are you feeling Morthan?" She asked automaticly, worried about the stallion.

He was glad Eria had come back in when she had; he wouldn’t have had any idea of how to respond to the foal. Things would be different for him and his mate, he decided as he smiled up at the Ichsa. They had love, and he would beat off any idiot that tried to hurt them. It would be different for them.
“Not too bad,” the albino said after a moment with a nod. “I hurt,” he went on with a wry smile, “but I’ll be fine. Couple of weeks from now all this should be healed up nicely.” Provided he didn’t have to rush off and fight any more idiots out in the sun that was; he really hoped that Reya b*****d didn’t have too many friends. Perhaps they should think about moving on to his home territory a bit sooner than they’d previously planned. And then there was the matter of Naveen...

"We should get you washed off as soon as possible to keep you from getting dirt and stuff in those cuts....And it might help your burn some too..." She moved over and settled down next to the Reya. "Oh i'm sorry." She looked to Naveen and smiled lightly. "Are you ok as well?" She asked.
Naveen nodded. "I'm fine ma'am, thank you." He smiled. "I was just talking with...Um...Morthan right? I'm bad with names....But i was just talking to him about those bullies."

Morthan nodded to both of them. “Yes, that’s me lad,” he told the foal with a slight smile. “Don’t worry about being bad with names; no doubt you’ll learn eventually and until then ‘white’ or similar will do fine.” And there he was assuming that the colt would be sticking around. Ah well, if that didn’t turn out to be the case no harm done. “Yes, water,” the albino said after a moment as he recalled Eira’s words. “If it gets overcast later on I can n** out then, if not I can wait until around sunset.” He liked sunsets, and sunrises. He could still see, albeit a bit blurrily, but he didn’t get burned either. Back home in his forest, those had been his favorite times to graze.
