"Oh," Taba replied, deflating a bit. That did sound kind of annoying, actually.
"Too girly? How's she s'posed to be then?" Should she act like a boy? But she's a girl, so acting like a girl makes sense, but if Choku didn't like it, did he want girls to act like boys? That was confusing, and Taba whimpered a bit. She had a headache just trying to think that through. How did boys manage such contradicting thoughts?

"Yea, y'know. Sissy-girly. " Chokuto could actually live with tomboy-ish girls. "Like my sister is a looot better. She's not sissy and junk. " He nodded, before podering. The water hole was clean, but it wasn't exactly clear. He could easily vanish in there.. hey, why not?
With a gasp, that perhaps unintentionally made him look like he was being attacked, the juvenile sunk into the water, trying to go as deep as possible and squinting his eyes to see. Ick, water felt terrible and stingy on his eyes, didn't it? After a while, Chokuto went back up, gasping for air. "I saw a fish! "

So he did want girls to act like boys. That made...well, it still didn't make much sense to Taba. If girls acted like boys, who would be the mommy? She was about to ask Choku (who seemed to know quite a lot), when he dove underwater. Oh no! What had happened to him?
Fearfully waiting by the water's edge (there wasn't supposed to be anything big in the water hole!), Taba breathed a sigh of relief when Choku resurfaced. "Was it a big fish?"

"Well.. not reaaally. But it was shiny. I'm gonna see if I can find it again! " Chokuto announced, before diving back into the water, kicking strong and managing to see the bottom-- he clearly wasn't all that deep yet. Soon enough, he actually saw his fish-- wow, they were glittery! He didn't get to see fish much, really.
Once again, he moved up. "Saw it! Its silvery. " He nodded, shaking his head from water-- though that wasn't soo usefull right now.

"I didn't know there were fish in there!" Taba said once he'd resurfaced for the second time. "Momma said there wasn't anything to be scared of in th'waterhole, but a not-big fish isn't scary." Not really, anyway. What would happen if the fish grew up and was bigger? Could it get big enough to eat a lion cub?
Over-active imagination ahoy. "Were there a lot of fish?" Hopefully not! An army of lion-eating fish would be awful!

"Of course there's fish! Its water! " He nodded smartly, perking his ears and tilting his head. "You didn't know fish liked water? " He blinked, that was unimaginable, someone who didn't know about fish and water! Or maybe she did know, and was playing dumb on him.
"I just saw one. I bet most hang out where its deeper. "

"Of course I knew that! I just didn't think they were in the waterhole, that's all." After all, they drank out of that! Ewwww fish in the water.
"Bet you can't find another one then," Taba teased him. He'd had enough trouble, it seemed, getting deep enough to find the first fish.

"Of course you did. " Chokuto rolled his eyes, preparing himself to go down peek again, untill... she dared him. Her blinked, half closing his eyes and smirking in her direction. Perhaps Tabasamu was just teasing, but Chokuto was a cure-less daredevil, and would never back down from anything, so long as it wasn't 'jump off a cliff!'
"Fine. " Chokuto said, and dove into the water, paddling strong a bit deeper and rounding up the one fish he found, herding it towards the shallower water, untill Tabasamu could see it. "There! " He said resurfacing. "I've got one, there's proof. Be back soon! " The juvenile announced, diving back in while the fish flitted around the shallow, clearer waters, glimmering in the sunlight.
It took him a bit more deep swimming, but soon enough, another silvery flash caught his eyes. There was a fish! Peeking his head out of the water for a quick breath, he dove in once more. Now to get that fish over where she could see it.. hm.
