"She... Might." Her brow furrowed slightly as she spent a moment lingering on that thought. "You'll just... Have to come back with me one day to meet her... And then she won't worry." As if that settled everything she smiled brightly, making herself comfortably content once more.

"I would like that." He nodded and thought about meeting Nyx's family. She'd already met parts of his so it would only be fair. Plus if her mother worried then it would be best to tell her that he wasn't going to hurt her daughter.

"But... We can stay here for the night, can't we?" She tilted her head towards him, shifting slightly as her hooves began to sink into the sand. "It's so nice here..." She didn't want everything to end so soon. It was nice to think that she would be able to see the sun set on this beautiful scene from where she was.

"If you want, don't see why not." He could see harm perhaps if her parents worried but if he walked her home then he could explain to them that she was somewhere safe so there wouldn't be harm in that.
"You can see the sun set and maybe meet Ela." So long as his aunt wasn't frolicking in the waves all night too.

"So we'll stay here tonight... And tomorrow we'll head back to the plains and you can meet my mother." She smiled brightly, giving Mordecai another friendly nuzzle.
Her head tilted slightly at the mention of another name. "Ela? Who is that?" Acheron had mentioned others living down by the sea as they'd walked but she hadn't been paying attention to names... She probably should have been.

"Ela is my aunt." He nodded slightly as he thought about her. "She's Acheron's sister, youngest of my aunts. She likes the ocean more than even grandma."
He should find her and at least say hello to her before he left again. She would be sad if she found out he'd been here and she hadn't gotten to see him

"Should... Should I let you find her?" She drew back once more so that she could look at Mordecai, giving her wings a slight stretch before looking towards the sea. "I'll be fine by myself if you want to... I could get a better look at the sea." Something about the waves lapping at the shore seemed inviting; calming in their repetitive motion. She wanted, if only once, to get closer to them.

"If you want to take a look at the sea then we could look at her together." He nodded. "Ela loves the ocean and is probably down there somewhere." It was always easy to see her out in the water so long as it wasn't night.

"Only if you want to." She had heard Acheron grumble a bit about the sand in his feathers along with the salt of the water... And Mordecai's wings were so much larger than Acheron's. Then again, her own were as well and nothing was bothering her at the moment.
She glanced at Mordecai for a moment more, smiling as she nudged his shoulder before turning to trot down to the ocean's edge. She stood on the wet sand for a moment, prancing backwards a step as the sea licked at her hooves. It took a moment to get used to the feeling but before long she wasn't stepping back when the water touched her, she was laughing.

He watched Nyx for a bit before he carefully tucked his wings up against him and made his way toward the shore. He usually didn't like it down there because of the salt and sand but he didn't want to leave her alone.
"You'll have to come back when it's warm. Water won't bite that way"

"But... The water isn't biting now." Her brow furrowed slightly as she glanced down at it. It just seemed to be lapping lightly at her legs, not trying to bite or trap her in any way. "If... I come back when it is warm... Will you come with me?"

"Cold bites." That's how Ela had always put it and he'd just picked up on it after a while. It seemed to fit since if the water was cold enough it did sting when it touched you.
He looked away from the water at her words and nodded. "Nicer when it's warm"

"All right." She smiled as she leaned closer to him for a moment, brushing her nose against his cheek before moving onward along the beach. She would enjoy coming back here... Especially if it meant that Mordecai was with her as well.
