It's an alright edit [a bit too red much?] but even though he wasn't exactly my pick of choice [i didn't even thought of him >.>...i was more far Gaspard] I think he can play a 'decent' Edward. He's pretty attractive & he has a nice facial structure to pull it off.
And those who oppose it....just get over yourselves seriously. They're NOT gonna change him & everyone pictures Edward differently so it would be impossible to satisfy everyone.

Reels -Sigh- Picky fans are picky. Whatareyagonnado?
My thing is, I never had set pictures of them in my head. Hell, I picture Edward as Yami-Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh! But with yellow eyes and brown-red hair, of course.
I can't be mad because they messed up my visual because they didn't. They made it better, really. XD
I mean, I knew from the start that the people we wanted to be cast as Edward weren't going to be. So I'm not disappointed. And I find Robert to be really attractive.
But to each his own, I guess. And I like the photo-shop, MysticKoi. But the hair is a bit too red. yami! *squeals*

I found another pic of Robert that someone else redid: I think it looks pretty good. They should pluck his eyebrows a bit though IRL.

I think my beef with Mr. Pattinson is that he's just too bony-looking. I would have preferred Drew Fuller, but hey. We gots what we gots. At least they didn't pick this guy.

SIT THE F DOWN, you took the words right out of my mouth.
People who don't like the choice: Sure, if Rob turns out to be a terrible actor and completely murders the character of Edward, then you can go around hating him.
But seriously, would you rather have a guy who matches every single tiny description Stephenie Meyer gives us, but could be beaten to an Oscar by a brick wall... or a guy who may not look exactly how you envision Edward, but actually acts like him and does the character justice?
I know what I'd prefer. And I'm sure you all think the same.
Anyway, lets face it. Edward's fictional. No boy could ever completely pull him off. The casting crew liked him. Stephenie Meyer liked him. And I'm gonna trust them. Supposedly he has great chemistry with Kristen. Which is all that really matters.

SIT THE F DOWN Attention to you overly picky fans...
DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE!
Stop pissing every one off We understand your disappointment, OK? We GET it! We FREAKING get it! Stop whining. This stuff always happens when a book is turned into a film. Suck it up. Get used to it. And expect more disappointment ... Because ... there will be much, much, much more.
You don't like the way he looks.. -shrugs- OK Good for you. Enjoy being shallow. I hope your significant other in a hopefuly not-to-soon future can live up to your high-as-a-kitestandards.
Until then...SHUT UP! PLEASE! Have a little consideration for those who might actualy want to see the film
But I might be asking a little too much from Miss "Don't care what other people think" I am sorry but people who post this stuff probably do care about what others think, what you fail to realize is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion if you don't like people complaining then don't read it, simple fact. Another fact is that people who probably complain about the actors and such, hell I'm on of them, are going to go see the movie anyway.

i actually like robert....i think the person for edward could have been much worse. We should be relieved that they picked him. He looks good.
I'm satisfied with the cast. I'm just glad that they didn't completely disregard our view of edward and pick some horrid person that isn't even liek edward at all.
(if he has a british accent in the movie i am going to flip)

I just don't see him as Edward, that's all.. I see him as Cedric Diggory, the annoying pretty boy from Harry Potter. I hope they pick someone outstanding for Jake.

Well I have to say that he is definitely not what I imagined Edward would look like but this doesn't count for much. I see the positive of choosing him as well as the negative. For me anyways. I understand that there probably isn't anyone on this whole planet that actually looks like Edward, as he is described to be anyways. Inhumanely beautiful remember? I'm not fond of the way Robert Pattison looks at all BUT, he can act. If he pulls it off, I believe alot of the angry fans (myself included) won't remember why we were arguing about how he looks. As well, apparently him and Kristin have chemistry, which is also another big part in the whole scheme of things. So to this whole thing I've come to the conclusion, that we can't change it, might as well live with it and wait for the movie to come out so we can go see whether or not we have to send emails to the creators asking them why they have ruined such a great work of writing. lol I hope my input on the matter has helped a bit because I sympathize on all sides. biggrin
