Depends if you drink half of it first... Then it would be half empty...
If you were only given a half a glass then it would be half full....

Personally I think it depends on whether the water is going in or coming out. Unless Sprite is the drink in question. Then it's always half empty, because you can never have enough Sprite. =]

I say the glass is twice as large as it needs to be, obviously.

I LOVE that answer.
Even if it's serious, it makes me laugh. XD

The glass has always been in the middle to me because there are always good time and bad times...plus...no matter how many times I fill the glass to the top, I get thirsty and take a swig of the water...lol

*shakes fist* Darn you! I was going to say that! razz razz

Aside from that answer though, there is another one we could do. If you want to use liquid in there, then it is technically half full of said liquid and overflowingly full of air. It can't be half empty unless there was a total vacuum in half of the cup.

Now if we want to use fluid in place of liquid, then it's completely full of fluid regardless of how much water or air is in it: Both are fluids.

And I am such a nerd at times... sweatdrop sweatdrop

Edit: Last but not least, here is a pic of what I'd also like to say:

well my glass once was totally full, but as i have faced the harsh reality of life, I feel that my glass is not only totally empty, but it is bone-dry. and yet, i got very little for myself. it was stolen away sip by sip by the people around me........ (hehehe totally pesemistic, aint I?)

well, just try to think of it this way... your glass must be completely empty in order to fill it up with new positive things smile

...And sometimes it's in the dishwasher. XD

Very true. Nice way of putting it. You all have some very interesting views. Thank you, DragonMistress333, for bringing this topic up.

Personally, I try to see the glass as half-full, but sometimes it seems half-empty. Really, the glass should be totally empty because I'd just drink the water and get on with my life. Unless it's a self-refilling glass, which changes everything.

My answer to the question would be like this:

Hey! Who drank half my glass?!

To me, the glass is half full. I guess that's mainly because if the glass is half full, then there is still something in it and you can still enjoy it. I'm not an optimist, exactly. I don't feel like everything is going to be ok. Sometimes life sucks, and sometimes I feel like it's not going to get any better. But the glass to me represents the little things, which people usually take for granted but would be very unhappy without. For some people, there is no glass. It wouldn't be fair to them to never acknowledge that what I have is good, that I'm one of the lucky ones. Maybe this is too depressing for the topic...I guess what I mean is that I'm not an optimist, but I am thankful for what I have and I try my best not to waste it.

Why look at the negatives in life, life is to short. try to only look at the positive, it makes living everyday so much more in joyable

I think that even a glass half empty would still serve the purpose of being a drink. Even if it may not be enough to quench your thirst... It still may serve some use.

[[Must.... Answer.... Stupidly...]]

I don't even see a glass here? How are you all seeing this glass?!?!

But other then that. IF there were a glass that had a mysterious liquid --which we still dont know what it is-- then it would obviously be there for us to drink. Not to contemplate. So does it really matter if it is 'full' 'empty' or 'middly?'
