Kia shivered a bit when the door opened and let in a small draft though once the door was closed the fire did its job and the cold once again vanished. " Well this isn't so bad. At least I'm not in this alone. We can survive this we're in a forest so there's wood for the fire. We can melt snow for water...If only we had some way to open cans." Kia sighed as he looked to his clothes that were drying near the fire. He touched his jacket but found that it was still to damp to ware. " How long can this storm last?" Looking out the window and watching the falling snowflakes he sighed once more and returned to eating his peaches.

A cool breeze rushed into the cottage with Bayard as he carried in a few chunks of wood. “It’s not much, but these should at least last us the night and some of tomorrow. I can go get more in the morning.” He set them down next to the fireplace and dusted the fallen snow from his shoulders, taking his place kneeling before the fireplace once more. A smile rose to his lips and he turned to Kia. “No worries, right?” A small shiver ran through his spine. He wasn’t going to bother mentioning that the snow outside was over knee high and rising or that the temperature was dropping even more. Those were trivial things.

Kia smiled back. "No worries." His eyes glanced back to the window. The snow outside fell down harder then ever as if it was mocking them. 'If we don't get snowed in tonight.' Kia thought but made sure his thought couldn't be read on his face. Turning back to Bayard he asked, "Have you explored all the room yet?"

Bayard noticed a tiny bit of apprehension in Kia’s voice. To ease that, he continued to smile. “I haven’t had the chance to completely explore the place. I mostly just took a quick look round. There’s a bedroom, a bathroom, some form of a kitchen, and this living space.” He looked around. “The whole place is made up for summer though. Light covers and the like.” Suddenly, Bayard gasped and jumped, pulling his hat from his head and un-gracefully flinging it across the room. “C-cold!” Frantically, he attempted to brush away the clump of snow that had fallen off his hat and onto his back.

Kia jumped up when Bayard did and rushed to help him get the melting snow off his clothing. 'I should have remembered this earlier oh well.' Kia looked at Bayard intensely to make sure that they had gotten all the snow off. Seeing that they had he sat back down and gave a slight glare toward the snow outside the window. "I swear the snow is out to get us." 'or mocking us.'

“Something like that.” Bayard shot his own glare at the snow before turning towards the bedroom. “You clothes won’t be dry for a while. Want to see if anything they have here will fit you?” he said as he turned his head towards the scantily clad Kia ‘And hopefully something that will fit me,’ he added internally. He extended a hand to Kia.

Kia grabbed Bayard's extended hand with a smile. "Sure I'm sure I can make something work. Even with the fire the room is still too cold especially when only in boxers." With that said he stood up using Bayard as leverage and walked to the middle of the room before stopping and looking at the doors trying to figure out which one led to the bedroom.

Laughing a bit, Bayard pointed to the door on the right. “That one.” He lifted up his half soggy skirt and trod over to the door, holding it open for Kia. “There’s a dresser full of albeit not winter worthy clothing in here. I figure we can find a little something wear.” He though for a second. “Or at least…something not soggy.”

"Right." Kia nodded and went into the bedroom. The first thing he noticed that the bed was big it had to be at least a queen which was good. It also had several thin sheets and blankets and several pillows. Exactly like a bed should look like in summer. Turning toward the dresser he started to go through drawers and was lucky enough to find a pair of black pants that were just a little too big on him and a belt to hold it up. In an upper drawer he found a thin white peasant shirt that looked too big. "These will do." That said Kia located the bathroom and changed. 'I was right the shirt is too big but it will do.' As Kia looked into the mirror he saw that the shirt hung off one of his shoulders but that the belt was holding up the pants nicely. He returned to the bedroom to see what Bayard had found.

Bayard eyed Kia curiously until he disappeared into the bathroom, at which point Bayard swished his tail joyously, knelt before the dresser, and began to dig through the drawers. Such beautiful dresses! Short and long, simple and embroidered, solid colors and fanciful patterns, plain materials and exotic fabrics; It was practically heaven! Carefully, he lifted a long, crimson red, faux silk dress from the drawer, pressing it to his face happily. It was at that point that he heard the bathroom door open and turned to Kia, the dress still against his cheek. “I…er…” He blushed deeply and stood, holding the dress to his chest to see the size. “This should be fine.” He stepped past Kia and into the bathroom, closing the door without another word.
‘I’m making such an idiot out of myself,’ Bayard thought to himself as he changed. ‘He probably thinks I’m crazy now…” His thoughts aside, Bayard looked at himself in the mirror, scrutinizing the look of the dress. It was obvious that the owner of the dress was a hybrid, probably feline, because there was a hole in the back perfectly sized for his tail. To go along with that, the fabric clung to his hips nicely, thought it was a bit loose at the waist. ‘Beggars can’t be choosers I guess…’ Satisfied, he picked up his wet dress from the floor and stepped out. “Much better.”

Kia looked in the direction that Bayard went in. 'That dress looked very expensive. I wonder who the owner of this cottage is. They have fine clothing.' Kia sat on the bed and looked at his current clothing in more detail. Up close it was obvious that they were well made almost designer garments. 'Very fine material. Also that dress looks like it will fit him quite nicely and I bet he'll look good in it.' Kia blushed at his thoughts. 'Where did that come from?' Kia sighed and looked out the bedroom window. The snow was continuing on like it had no care in the world. 'This is all your fault snow, I swear your out to get me.'

Bayard stared at Kia curiously. “Just what are you thinking? You just keep looking around and not saying anything!” He laughed and slid onto the bed next to Kia. “Or maybe you’re shy and think I’m going to hurt you?” He reached out and ran a claw across one of Kia’s hands. “Hmm?”

Kia looked up when Bayard started talking. 'I didn't even notice when he entered the room.' He tried to pay attention to what Bayard was saying but was distracted when he sat down next to him. Kia fell to the floor in surprise when he felt the claw on his hand. "What do you think your doing?" He tried his best to cover up the shock in his voice with a glare but the effect was probably ruined with his appearance. The too big shirt was practically falling off his right shoulder and he had landed in a very interesting position on the floor but that didn't stop him from glaring up at Bayard with every fiber of his being. Kia didn't take surprise physical contact very well.

A grin spread rapidly across Bayard’s face. Trapped in some cold cabin or not, this was going to be a fun night. “What’s wrong Kiiiia?” There was a joking, sing-song tone to his voice at the other’s name. “Scared of my claws?” He held up a hand and wiggled his fingers playfully. “Or did my passionate touch drive you mad?” He laughed at his own words.
