I think it's funny how people keep on going "It may not be going to the 360 now, but at SOME POINT it WILL be ported to the 360!". I wonder where people are getting this logic from. All I've seen is "When they don't make enough money for it from the PS3 version, they'll HAVE to do it.". If that was the case, they should just port it to the f-ing Wii. They'd get all the money in the world after that.

It's kind of funny how 360 fanboys have ignored the fact that the Wii has surpassed it in sales and they still think it's on top.

Kind of like how half the republican presidential candiates don't believe in evolution?
Ugh, don't bring up politics... gonk

@ Viking & Arvis: That was supposed to make people laugh. rolleyes

..It won't go to the 360. It probably won't fit because MGS4 on the Blu-ray will be huggeeeeeeee. It will probably need two discs. I know that it took two discs in order to play MGS:Twin Snakes because of the re-makes. But MGS4?! Nu uh.

Try like 3 or 4 discs, unless they scale down the visuals... and remove content...

******** you, Frankenrumor. This game will live and die on the PS3.

360 discs aren't competent enough to hold all the data required for a full blown MGS game.

Well, TOP is all dependent on what you're looking at. The Gamecube was -- in my opinion -- the best piece of hardware out for that generation. The PS2, however, is generally considered the winner because it sold the most units, but if you go by which console had the best games, everything get turned upside down.

As for MGS4, the important thing to know (and this is true), if the game does NOT make enough money to cover development costs:

A) Someone will have to foot the bill
B) Metal Gear/Konami tanks
C) They port it to 360 to cover production costs.

I know this is fueling the fire, but it is true. Companies are trying to make money, not deliver to everyone's personal fanboyisms. Hopefully MGS4 will spark some new PS3 owners, most PS3 owners will buy the game, and it won't be ported to 360. If it doesn't, though...well, I think you can guess what will happen.
A port of MGS4 is not possible, it'd take a complete rebuild of the game which would defeat the purpose of putting it on the 360 to "cover production costs" which would then lead to the creation of two different costs.

It's going to sell fine either way, it's the most anticipated PS3 title. Several things are pointing to sure success of the game, the fact that when Konami announced that the game was going to be delayed, their stock actually went down. Sony's hyping the game up to a kinda Halo 3 level, and finally, if Predictions are to be accurate, by the time the game comes out, there will be 10 million plus PS3 owners out there, all it'd take is 1/10th of that market to buy the game for it to make a positive margin.

One million copies sold? It'd be a piece of cake.

Depends. It the stock drops dramatically that's not good because you tend to sell whatever stock you had in place. If it goes up too high, then deflation starts to happen and the value of dollar just decreases by a lot. If it goes too low, the dollar value increases by a lot. Stock usually tends to go and up most of the time, just be careful. Playing the stock market can lead to some weird a** things. Just make sure your stock drops down by a bit and increases by a bit. Also check the Down Jones about how many points it dropped down and plus the NASDAQ as well.

Just make sure, if the Down Jones starts to drop like hell well watch out. Your better of selling it.

Ah, mainly what caused the great depression, too much stock, right? One of the reasons my parents are supporting Ron Paul, something about he's the only one concerned about the monetary issue. I heard the Canadian dollar is worth more than ours now.

The Great Depression was caused because there was too money but it wasn't money at all. It was all credit, credit is not in fact real money it's just borrowed.

Yes the Canadian dollar is worth more than ours. And the Peso is catching up too. The Euro is now about twice more worth than our dollar.

Gold is too much now. It would be stupid enough to invest into gold at this moment.

I would invest something like small computer companies or gasoline stations at the moment.

I really think instead of just investing into gasoline which will just make the price higher than it already is, is just kind of futile...we're running out of that kind of fuel. I really think there needs to be a pushing towards alternative fuels like hydrogen(the best choice of alternative fuel to me...plenty of H2O out there to extract, especially in the ocean. There's also the fact water[not fresh, but it's better than nothing] is the most renewable resource on the planet) in these new hybrids. It'll be expensive and take a while, but it'll be worth it, it won't be as expensive once it's mainstream, and we won't be polluting the planet.

Eh, I think we're getting way off topic, we should probably take this to the general discussion or something sweatdrop
