allright Devil, I'm going to introduce myself... hum... so, I admit that Devildestiny is really convincing.. and I'm curious too. I'm there because of all his adverts made me want to come here to see... and I'm here! I don't really see how to introduce myself.. I... I'm gonna let this pleasure to Devil when he'll come back there.. 'cause I really see nothing. Tell them all that you want they to know 'bout me... I'll follow you! I hope you will...

What do you think about this sentence????: "the third root reached the Urd's well (in Asgard) which was kept by the third Norns who are the old wise women and they decided the fate for each personand even for the god too!!" Sorry for the english!! crying

Shimegamis_Rage devildestinyman Is Fenrir not bad?? stare No, he isnt. If you were kidnapped from your home along with your two siblings, seperated, raised by and taught to trust the aesir, and then betrayed and bound, all because of a prophesy.... Wouldnt you hold a grudge against the Aesir? Perhaps one strong enough to go to war and seek revenge? Fenrir was just massive, intimidating and potentially dangerous to the Aesir. He wasnt evil, they just feared him. Especially by Odhinn, once it was prophesized the Fenrir would be the one to kill him. I know i am late in responding to this but i just joined today Odin didnt fear Fenrir. As the all knowing god of wisdom war etc he knew that no matter what he did that he would die at the hands of Fenrir and his son would avenge him he knew who would live and die in the end that is why i respect him so knowing his fate and that of the other aesir and all others elves, humans, dwarves alike he continued to fight and live life as normal. however i do feel sorry for Loki's kids but not for Loki. Imo that is the coolest part about Norse mythology they arent immortal the god die just as humans can unlike greek and other mythologies.

The other part, is that they all know there will be the Ragnarock, which means they all know they'll die. But they all fight until the end. And I think that's representative of the nothern mind in that time. There's some kind of despair in the tought we will die for sure. And being heroic is to accept tha the end is inevitable but continue to fight. Odin's not the only one who accept his destiny in the northern mythology. That's the way of thinking of many of the gods ! That's the caracteristic of the northern mythology itself !

Odin in my opinion is really a sad indivisual he know when he will lose his family how they will die and cant do anything about it. Both The Aesir and Venir(spelling) even though rivals just played their parts until the end. I love how ragnarok takes place even though my favorite gods die how they die is just amazing.

On another note if you look for it you can find some parts of Norse mythology can be crossed over with the Christian religion. Also since some people still follow Norse as a religion i will either refer to it as a religion or all religions as mythology so not to offend.

Ok I see ! Thanks for explaining it to me. By the way, I'm not sure both of those "religions" can be crossed... I mean, in all religions, there are stuff like resurection, final judgement and all that, isn't it ? But I'm sure about one certain thing : I don't know enought about both of them to be able to contradict you. So I have to think about it and read stuff before I say anything xd
