The main character is Naruto. The show is named after him. But ever character has at least one episode about them. I think their whole generation of ninja is the main character. Naruto is just the main main character. I heart ninja !

VxBlackWingedAngelxV I think shikamaru deserves his on storyline! at least a short season. but thats prolly not the point of this post is it? sorry he kinda does but it also involves the whole ino-shika-cho trio

Naruto is the main character..but I've seen every episode and half the time it seems like Sasuke is really the main character cas EVERYTHINGS about him or has to do with him....So he may be the second main character but I really think they both are the MAIN character.

i think that all the ninjas are main characters! XD .... I just think they called it naruto cause the story follows him... i guess?

It seems more that Sasuke is responsible for a lot of plotting done in Naruto's show XD. If it weren't for him, Naruto would've ended a lot of episodes back.

Dark Kinchi I like Naruto and the plot and stuff but don't you think that the story is shifting a little more to sasuke more than naruto....Which isn't annoying of anything to me, but I just wanna know what others say about this?  Other characters are allowed into this, if you click others please tell who you picked.  i say the show is about both of them.

Naruto Sasuke and Sakura are all the main characters.
Naruto being the main character - He has most of the showing in both the show and manga so he is the main protagonist
Sasuke being the second main character - he has alot in the show and manga so he is the second main character.
Sakura being the third main character - She hardly has anything but she is part of the main squad.
