Where would they walk to the blue winged mare washed of the ocean's essence wondered to herself. The only reason she had suggested a walk was the fear of being rejected like most other stallions she met in her past, that being not many at all. But, still it ended up the same with her fumbled placement of words that seemed to annoy or confuse others she'd met. Now, she had to change her set fate and see a newer light.
Walking beside him her mind was wandering yet it always came back to the same query relating to why she felt so misplaced. Then it was about her teacher and what his dilemma was feeling isolated and frustrated. But the biggest thing she pondered was the strange cloths that Kakashi wore and the mask that he used to keep himself hidden from onlooking eyes around him.
Biting her bottom lip she thought for a bit before speaking, letting her eyes look bright and full of her usual curious self.
"Kakashi... if its not too much trouble... may I ask why you keep your eye and face covered all the time? Its always made me wonder why you've kept it that way from the first day I met you as a foal," she smiled softly at him as her eyes glinted. Maybe since he liked her company he wouldn't mind. Another one that she thought of was Hsien-Ko the warrior whom was said to have took on a Kalona mare protecting the Elder and two-legger. Maybe Kakashi was a warrior too and kept his identity a secret.
Well it was either he'd reveal such important information or not. She wouldn't hold it against him, yet her curiosity would thank him if he did.

Unsure of what to say next, Kakashi watched Nitika's expressions carefully. She seemed... sensitive right now. He definitely did not what to say the wrong thing. Caring about her... seemed to make him forget about his own dilemma at the current moment and he was absolutely fine with that.
The stallion continued to walk alongside her, still watching her with caution. Raising his brow slightly, Kakashi chuckled at her question. "Oh, you have a lot of questions Nitika. That's a story for another day and it's rather boring too. Maybe I'll tell you someday." He grinned at her happily hoping that she was feeling better and that she didn't take his rejection personally. He's never told anybody the story behind his mask but that's because they never really... asked. He wasn't to keen on sharing it quite yet.
"Since you asked a rather prodding question, maybe I should ask you something equally ponderous?" Kakashi eyed her mischievously wondering how she would react to that. Though, he didn't even know what he was going to ask her... he had to think of something quick but it had to be good.

Boring. Her heart felt as if it had shattered into a thousand pieces. Well it was his decision and she told herself plainly that she'd accept whatever answer he would give. But, being herself she felt a little down from it, though she remained smiling anyway.
"Oh, " she murmured with a nod of her head, "Well I'd still like to hear it when you're ready to tell your tale." She mused looking deeply at him, an air of curiosity still floating around her like an aura that could be seen by anyone she talked to.
When he asked his question of course it attracted her full attention making her ears swivel forward and eyes enlighten with that normal excited. "Oh?" she looked really happy as her tail swished waiting to see what he'd ask. Usually it was she who asked questions, but now it was Kakashi. Suddenly her mind spoke more than Nitikacould handle as she began swimming with eyes brimming in her nature.
A question. Wonder what it is? Is it good is it bad.... Oh this is so exciting.
"Sure go ahead and ask anything. Mmm I won't lie this is the first anyone has ever wanted to ask me something before," she replied with another dip of her head as her eyes shined.

He could sense her disappointment, "I'm sorry. I don't mean it like that. It's just... not the time for a story like that." He smiled and chuckled once more hoping that she would accept his apology. "Of course, once the time is right." Kakashi grinned almost mischievously and began to think. He didn't even know what he was going to ask her. He had a vague idea but it would be a rather prying question.
Raising a brow, Kakashi stared at her curiously. "You make it seem like you don't have any friends. I'm sure people have asked you questions before and I'm sure you have friends. You doubt yourself too much Nitika. Have some pride because I see plenty of things for you to be proud of." He winked at her happily as he continued to think about what he was going to ask her.
After a momentary pause, Kakashi continued, "Okay, so you know how earlier we were talking about looking for something? I get the feeling that you know exactly what you're looking for. Do you want to tell me what that thing is?" He eyed her quietly wondering if she would actually give him an answer or not.

She felt dejected hearing his answer, but Kakashi of course had his own reasons. Her curiosity was burning straight through her dying to know, but she was sure he'd whisper the answer some day to her. Then Nitika would finally get her answer that was gnawing at her.
Always that... questions. If that all she was capable of? The thought annoyed her to no end of why soquili she met usually just lost interest. Was she such a bad mare that she wasn't deserving of a little social interaction she thought as her mind wandered in a game of hopscotch over things.
Wait! Kakashi is here and he's talking to me unlike everyone else that seemed disinterested to even listen to me. Jeez Nitika pull yourself out of your delusions and see what's right in front of you for a change.
"Friends? Yeah I guess I have some but its not many and I do cherish them, its just well they're mostly female. Its the guys that think I'm a waste of time blabbering too much, asking questions and whatnot. I can't help it because from the moment I hatched from my basket, I've asked questions." she frowned and looked away with a nervous twinge.
Was that what was bugging her all this time? The fact that her sister Feena was off on some loopy adventure with Yuuri and they liked each other. Was it jealousy maybe that made her so upset lately she wondered. The sheer fact that she was not able to find love like her friends and family was driving her mental with questions more and more.
"I guess the only thing that I've searched for was ..." she paused looking to her side with a blush that painted her cheeks in a raspberry hue, "was someone to finally accept me for who I am." She frowned yet smiled looking back at him with hopeful eyes. "So far I think I got a partial wish thanks to you Kakashi".
She felt embarrassed saying it out loud for most others wouldn't care to even perk an ear or turn a head in her direction. But Kakashi hadn't budged giving her hope that finally was dawning like a new day around her. What would he say or do now that she did speak her mind and heart Nitika worried with roving eyes upon him. First she'd wait and see what his opinion would be, then feel more at ease or tense when the truth was finally laid out like a huge burden drifting off her shoulders.

Watching her carefully, Kakashi hoped that she would understand. She would know someday though. It wasn't like it was such a big secret. This just wasn't the right time. He wished that she had a better outlook on herself. She always seemed so down. "I don't think that. And last time I checked, I'm a guy. I don't think that you ask so many questions and you shouldn't think that either. Please, don't think so poorly of yourself because those guys don't know what they're missing out on." He grinned happily as he spoke to her. He knew that sounded sort of preachy but he just wanted to see her happy.
He wasn't surprised by her answer because he knew there was something that was bothering her. "That's it? You're so silly because you already found that person a long time ago when you were a foal." Kakashi chuckled slightly after he replied to her. "You really are a silly mare. You think poorly of yourself and you're looking for something you've already found." He laughed again, not at her per say, but just in general. Her answer put him in a good mood because he was worried that she was looking for something utterly impossible.

She was thoroughly embarrassed that her heart had spoken in the place of her own judgment. Usually the contemplative one, Nitika was a mastermind when it came to rapid fire of barraging questions lingering in her mind. She was hard on herself and extremely sore that this was who she truly was. But, yet here was a male that understood her like night and day, or rather he put on a really good front acting like he did. Whatever the case he intrigued the daughter of a flutter mare and a winged stallion very much. Eyes sparkling with hope and understanding began flooding her thoughts and emotions.
Maybe he does understand me after all.
Was this her chance to finally have someone stand tall with her, to be by her side leading her to new horizons? Feena had Yuuri this Nitika was sure of, though it wasn't openly shown though to everyone. It was just a feeling Nitika gathered when the two were in company of one another. How her adopted sister's eyes shimmered just standing near the very shadow of that huge stallion that made Nitika's head swirl with envy. That was the missing piece... she knew it now with Kakashi's strong words rather they were preachy or not.
It was time to stop being down due to being rejected. Damnit why couldn't her heart and mind conspire on an agreement just for once in her life the mare grumbled silently in her mind.
"Oh they don't do they?" she felt an almost mischievous streak sidle into her as if perhaps Cheveyo was whispering in her ear. Stupid brother... Where have you run off to anyway? Watching him she smiled with a glint in her eyes playfully, "Hmm why not tell me what they're missing.. might ease my mind." She winked with a giggle trying to perk up and stop appearing emo in his eyes.
Though in her silliness her eyes were opening as if another page in her life's history was advancing forward. She paused and pondered his words carefully with much curiosity. "Found that person when I was a foal? Kakashi you mean to tell me..." she paused with startled blinking eyes realizing just what he was saying as her mind once in its life paused of questions for an instant, "Could it be you..." Once again she was stumped and shocked at herself stumbling over her own words.
Remembering back to that fated day she smiled. How could she have forgotten something so clear and loud it nearly ran her over like a huge wave? Nitika was truly speechless as her mind moved on without her.
