(( I didn't know you were into Jokoa ^_^ I was just checking out the thread. I saw you're post, and checked out the owners list. Quite some pretties you have. I like the purple tiger the best. -is glared at by other Jokoa- o_O Uh ho... ))
Kiun let a secret smile flit across his face as he saw Marie move closer to him. It made him feel, strange. Strange in a good way, like a flower bursting out of the snow. He relaxed, even from this short meeting he knew inside he would never be able to forget her, but not that he would want to. If he had been a softer kind of soquili, and a lot younger, he might have described it as a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
Kiun took a couple steps to where he was standing right next to Marie. He looked her in the eye. Her eyes were captivating, like liquid saphires. The connection lasted a couple seconds, then he coughed, and averted his eyes. He hadn't felt this way around a mare before, it was, a nerveous feeling.
He normally didn't care about how mares thought of him, but he felt very concerned about Marie's feelings for him. He said softly, "So, d- do you see anyone?" He wondered if he had implied his question correctly, for he did not want to intrude on a relationship between Marie and another, and he would be deeply disapointed if she was seeing another; though he couldn't quite figure out why he cared so much.

Marie also let a smile emerge on her face. His question intrigued her. "Well, the only stallion which I have felt the need not to ignore is you, but to answer your question, No I am not." She then thought of the reason he would ask such a thing, but decided not to question him.
Marie had an urge to just never leave him out of sight, he was the only person she ever got close to, she didnt want to be alone after this.

Kiun lowered his eyes, and noticed how warm it was, his breath didn't steam in the night air. A warm breeze blew past, just enough to ruffle his hair. His cheeks redened a bit, why would he care if a breeze had ruffled his mane and tail? He wondered if it was just teenage hormones kicking in late, but he didn't think that was it. Marie brought out a whole other side of him, and softer, more caring side.
He huffed a little, exhaling a deep breath. He raised his eyes again, and gently moved his nose to nuzzle Maire, just a little bit. He liked the feeling of being close to someone. All of a sudden he jerked away and took a few steps back, and said, "I'm, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that" He feared that he had invaded her personal space, he didn't know how she would react.

Marie lowered her head a bit as he nuzzled her, then lifted it as he took a step back. "No, you should have done it earlier." She said playfully as she walked toward him. She nuzzled him in the same manner he had done to her. 'I could always fix my hair in the morning...' she thought as the breeze began to pick up.

Kiun's face lit up in a grateful smile, he was glad that Marie returned his affection, at least on a small level. He winked, and walked back over to her. He said slyly, "Oh, I should've done it earlier? Well maybe I can make up for earlier now" Then his face grew more soft, as he gently put his nose forward and nuzzled her again, stepping closer.

Marie stood there, enjoying the nuzzling. She thought to herself. 'wait, this stallion isnt my mate...' She didnt show her concerns on her face, but she was worried. She nuzzled him back, adoring the way he smelled and how soft his coat was.

Kiun relaxed, it was a very romantic setting, and he was enjoying himself. Something hung at the back of his mind though, he couldn't get over the feeling that meeting Marie here tonight was destiny. He tried to comprehend the feeling that was welling up inside him, a feeling of compassion of the utmost level. Suddenly he zoned out for a few seconds as he remembered something...
Kiun was standing with his other herdmate, Qin. The sky was a deep gray overhead, and little puffs of snow had began to float down a while earlier. He and Qin had been talking, they had very different views. Qin said, "Yes, I've been seeing this mare, her name is Hsien. Its a strange feeling when ever I see her, its like I don't ever want to let her go." A dreamy look had appeared in Qins eyes then.
Kiun felt like a bucket of ice water had been dumped on his head, and he blinked. Was he, thinking of Marie as more than just a mare and friend? The thought shook him, but he wasn't against it, he liked the idea, still though, he told himself, I mean, its not like she returns her affection, as far as I can tell she just likes to flirt with me. The thought made him feel a little sad.

Marie began to return the nuzzling. 'Screw it, I dont care what others would think, I think i'm falling in...love?' She thought as continued to nuzzle him aswell. She thought of something a elderly mare had told her when she was still a foal.
Never let a stallion touch you if he isnt your mate...ever! That's something un-ladylike!
But she still allowed him to nuzzle her, meanwhile she continued to nuzzle him.

Kiun gently drew away his nose and looked into the limpid pools of Marie's eyes, he felt like he was drowning in a sea of blue. He felt totally relaxed, like he didn't, and would never, have to prove anything to her. He liked the way he could do that around her. Even though he had only known her for a night. He had always scoffed at that stupid love at first sight thing, but now he knew it to be true.
Fireflies flew all around, making a twinkling pattern, and out of the corner of his eyes Kiun saw it was a heart. He smiled softly, the fireflies had known all along. The moon shined above, and the murky depths of the marsh croaked and squeaked with all the night life of it. He said softly to Marie, "Yes, yes I think it is." He felt that was all there was to say.

Marie blinked for a moment. She heard him speak a few words, but didnt quite understand what he ment. She also drew back her nose and looked into his eyes. She had never felt so comfortable with a stallion , she never thought she would either. "I..." She desperately wanted to say the three fabled words, but she knew , she knew deep down it would scare him away, and she hesitated.

Kiun flicked his tail over her lips, and said softly, "Its alright. I understand." He knew love was a difficult thing to give up, he hadn't figured that out himself until a few minutes ago. Now he understood what love was. It was when you felt so comftorable around another soquili you never had to hide anything from them. True, some took it farther and were all lovey dovey, but he felt this was a different kind of love. He knew he could tell Marie everything.
He knew that she wasn't quite ready to give up this big part of her to him. He said softy, his voice filled with compassion, "I'll wait, as long as it will take." He smiled, and breaking the moment of understanding said a little more humeriously, "Just don't die on me, okay?" THough he knew that if he never knew Marie really returned the affection, he would die a single stallion.

Marie smiledand finally loosen up. "Kiun, I've held it in long enough... I love you." She tried to prepare herself in case he wasnt expected it. 'Marie, you stupid mare! Why would you go and say it, He clearly wasnt ready!' She thought , beating herself up for it, but she still looked directly into his eyes.

Kiuns eyes lit up in delight. He couldn't believe it, he didn't think he ever would. His tongue felt like it weighed a thousand pounds, but his body felt as light as air, he wanted to take to the sky and yell to the world that he loved Marie and she loved him. He looked at her with a mixture of longing, pleasure, and love. He stepped closer to her, his flank brushed hers, and whispered into her ear, as this was only for her,
"I never thought I would give this up. I know now that love is, more than some tell it to be. And, I can honestly say I can return your love." He lay one wing protectively over her, and nuzzled his nose deep into her mane, engulfing himself in the scent of hills and meadows.

Marie smiled at his reaction, she rubbed her body against his, leaning on him slightly. She relished the feeling of his muscular wings around around her. "I'm glad you can return the love..." She said softly.

Kiun relaxed, and gently pulled his nose out of Marie's mane, with a twinkle in his eye, he said, "Would you like to take a walk? And perhapes we can learn more about eachother?" He was curious to know what his new love's life was like.
