Kira closed her eyes then let out a long, deep sigh. "This will be our meeting ground when we're in-country working on squadron improvements. "

She opened her eyes and now they were a normal blue in color, which matched her blonde hair, "So to start off....tell me a little about your strengths and weaknesses. Once we're done I have a fun exercise for us."

Shade sighed loudly before speaking. "I'm good with healing the wounded, and my tactics in battle are up to snuff....I'm not too good with close quarters." She shudder a little, then looked at his feet.

"I don't particularly like being touched, but I hate being hit even more."

Kage worked at the cowlick of hair on the back of his head as his team mate explained her strengths and weaknesses. It was an obvious strategy, learn the strengths and weaknesses of your teammates and you'll make your squad that much stronger and aware of each other. His hand glanced the cowlick one last time, accepting defeat before raising a dismissive hand accordingly.

"Close quarters combat is my obvious specialty, but I also have a few mid to long range techniques at my disposal. I have also created a defensive technique. Survival is a natural ability now, and shadow manipulation is my talent."

After cracking his wrist he continued on, "Sunlight outside of the Forbidden Country or Onigashima is a natural sight irritant so I always keep a pair or two of sunglasses with me. I've never had any real experiences with Genjutsu either, so I guess you can consider that a weakness as well." he said, finishing it all of with a shrug of the shoulders.

Kira was busily writing as each of you spoke on a small scroll. Placing the pen on the paper she re-wraps the scroll then places it into her back pouch.

"Alright then. Let's have a race." She points to the east, you see nothing but large and small sized gravestones as well as the haunting cries of the various ghosts that haunt this place. "You all know to east of the graveyard is the Venomweb Pass where Yura lives. We're going to have a race. First one to the center to take the flag and get back here is the winner."

She stops for a second then thinks, "Oh also I told Yura about this race so she said her pets will be looking for you as go. Toodles." She picks up her skull and resumes looking it over.

((Does this mean I'm in the Venomweb Pass?))

Shade sighed and tossed his cigarette down onto the ground. The moment its cherry touched the ground he was off like the wind, kicking a large cloud of dirt into the air with his initial launch into the air and over a nearby grave marker.

To gain a little bit of extra speed rather than kick off of the top or the side of a grave marker, he would actually kick himself off of the back as he passed it through the air. This of course caused it to seem like he was moving with a speed he was not normally capable of, and would probably never again be able to replicate.

He flipped over in the air, throwing his feet forwards into the ground to bring himself to a halt just past the entrance to the Pass. The sense of foreboding, accompanied by the shiver down his spine, reminded him of the bats. "Where's that flag?"

Successes = 8+3=11

"So you tempted Yuras pets, huh? This should certainly turn out to be entertaining." With that said, he was gone like the shadows he controlled. Making his way forward he used the gravestones as extra leverage maintaining his awareness of the surroundings as he summoned a pair of arms upon the gravestones ahead of him.

Upon reaching the shady appendages they cupped their hands, allowing his foot to land in their stead. Without flinching, he was launched off of them like a slingshot adding to his velocity.

Kira watched the pair hop off then pulls out a cellphone from her leg holster. Dialing a number se waits for a moment then says, "It's started Yura-senpai." Hanging the cellphone up she takes a few quick steps then leaps atop of the first headstone then does a crouching hop to the top of the nearest tomb as she places the cellphone back into her pack.

As you both come to the broken gates of the graveyard you seee the webbed and foreboding Venomweb Pass up ahead. The only sounds coming from inside are the very light rustles of things unseen moving about the lightly webbed treeline.

You have two paths ahead of you, the straight dirt path along the ground that leads straight into the heart of the Pass or through the treeline. The ground seems the most open as there seems to be an open path that is wide enough for two people, however further in you can see the trees grow thicker and eventually blot out the sun. The treeline seems just as dangerous as you can already see things shifting about in the leaves.

"Hmmm..." He ran through various scenarios in his head, all of them gruesome and gory. Within a few seconds of thought he started on down the open path, slipping a scalpel into his hand just in case.

"I really don't feel like climbing trees right now."

"Kira-san, you didn't mean for someone such as myself to partakAUUGH!"

Hoshi flies through the air as he receives a swift kick from Kira. He catches himself and dashes along the ground after the other two boys. He scowls at them. They had a head start! That was unfair!

He leaps from gravemarker to gravemarker, apologizing for landing on each one. This wasn't much like him. Hoshi would never disgrace the dead.

...Unless he feared that Kira was going to have him join their ranks.

Peering about the branches above him Kage can already sense the presense of Yuras pets flitting about planning their ambush strategies. The open path would obviously leave them open for ambushes but hopping about the treetops could possibly land them in a web trap. And he has heard plenty of rumors of how difficult it is to free yourself once your caught in one of Yura's webs. Deciding against taken that already beaten path he leaps into the treeline and makes his way towards his goal, always keeping a steady hand above the hilt of his blade.

Kira watched Hoshi appolgetically leap across the graveyard and let out an almost disgusted "tch". "It's not like the corpses are going to be offended you stepped on them." She says before she lands atop of a tomb. An eerie chill brushes past her causing her body to shudder, biting her lip she mentally takes back what she just said as she cautiously looked around. If there's one thing that's hard to forget about the 'Isle of Demons' is that the dead sometimes feel the need to stick around.

~For Shade~
As you quickly run through the dirt path the treeline begins to grow more and more dense until the light is completely suffocated. Though it's by no means unusual you can help but feel that eyes are now watching you from all directions.

Suddenly! There is a rustling in the bushes on either side of you!

~For Kage~
As you hop into the treeline you expect to find yourself immediately surrounded with all manner of arachnids. However, all you find is mostly leaves and the occasional small spider skittering about on its leaves looking for food. Taking off deeper into the forest, however you begin to notice the size of the spiders increasing the further you get in.

The darkness around you is easily overcome, however, the density of the forest around you is making it hard to navigate and on more than one occasion you find yourself nearly jumping into a web. And then one literally appears in front of you!

Objective: Race to the Center of Venomweb! (Part 2)
Intuition + 8-sided Dice = Number of Successes for Evading Ambush
10 Successes or more needed to completely evade the oncoming ambushes and continue on. (Human-sized Funnel Web spider for Kage, Human-sized Trap-door spider for Shade).

7 to 9 Successes needed to evade the oncoming ambushes, but you do not progress any further into Venomweb Pass.

6 or less Successes, you fell victim to the ambush and must free yourself (or die) before continuing on.

"s**t!" he drew his sword too late, crashing heavily into the thick webbing and entangling his right arm behind his head with his blade half-drawn. It was a definately dangerous scenario. His black iris' quickly observed his bindings. The overall structure of the web was a funnel shape, and that meant that its master would be at the base of the funnel. Low-and-behold, there it was, staring straight at him with 8 bloodthirsty eyes, fangs bared and venom dripping from its palpatating fangs.

"Damn my bad fortune. This is exactly why I hated coming to this damned place, bad luck always follows me!"

Intuition 3.3 + Roll 3 = 6.3 Trapped.
