A few of the cheerleaders are nice. Most of them don't care about us. They don't like it when we play a song and they're about to start their own cheer.
I feel bad when some of the band people are too mean to them. I tell them, what comes around, goes around, but they don't listen. I try to get along with some of them because, as Drum Major, I have to work with them at football games and pep rallies. Same with the dance team. It's best to have that mutual respect.

they want to feel more special, and by ignoring us and putting us down they feel better about themselves. that, and they're jealous us and all the fun we have. xD though last year they started putting up this "we heart our band" poster at games. i figure it's because our football team was doing really badly, and they wanted to support an organization that was winning. x_x

Same truth in my school. The cheerleaders try to stalk me during school to humiliate me but they never even figure out my schedule cause I take som many different paths to classes

Well, on the feild we sort of go hand in hand. They do their little dances as we play and in one of their cheers they yell out to us -Can't remember the words at the moment.-. Yeah. After marching season though, unless you're in pep band you get ignored and made fun of. But I think the reason why they hate us is that they don't get to us. Example:

Random band Girl 1: -Walking down the hall talking to RBG 2- Yeah, but we are definatly doing awsome on Three Ayres! Don't you agree, I mean that baritone part is really comming out!

RBG 2- -Nods-

Cheerleadr 1- -Walks over and rolls her eyes.- What are you talking about freak? Let me guess, -Makes a dorky face- "One time at band camp.."

RBG 2- No, more it's like we are discussing the progess on one of out festival songs. But you wouldn't know anything about intination, accidentals, and intervals... Now would you?

CL 1- Well...Well... -Glares- Shut up, nobody likes you!

Random Hot Band Guy- -Walks over and taps RBG1 and RBG2 on the shoulder. Smiles- Oh I must argue, we were having a problem with the creshendo[sp?] in the third movement -Walks away talking to RBG1 and RBG2 leaving CL1 behind-

sweatdrop Yeah. That is why they can't get to us! 3nodding We just rock!

all cheerleaders that i know are stuck up. the band nerds will rise up and over throw them cut people that play insterments are now cool!

actually, 3 of our band kids are cheerleaders and most of us know a lot of the squad. i have to admit that some of my non-band cheerleader friends have gotten kind of ditsy since they joined cheer. band is seen as just another group at school like dance or another sport (except maybe football and basketball)

Probably because they can cheer as loudly as they want, but the band will always overpower them. xD

I'm not sure if the band and cheerleaders at the high school I'm going into have a rivalry, but I'll be finding out next week. o0;
