"I like it up here. The breeze is nice." You could just taste the salt in the air so maybe it wouldn't be so bad up here for him.

"Did you enjoy your trip back with your family? Your mother wasn't too upset that you hadn't visited before was she?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 30, 2007 6:19 pm

"My mother seems to have come to terms with the fact that those of us with wings are not as fond of the sea as we would have been had we been born with fins... She wishes that we would return more often than we do but, as seems to be the case with most mothers, she seems content enough that we come back when we do." His sister, on the other hand, was another story... And this was but another story of sorts that he would have to tell her.

"At least Ela stays there with her? That must be nice." And Acheron did say he had another brother so maybe that one stuck around too. "Your mother seems very nice, from the little i got to speak to her."

She did seem to be a little playful, more so than her own mother, but she was still nice. She had probably been where Acheron got his bit of a bite from.

"She is... And she's done well raising the six of us monsters." He nodded slowly. His father helped, of course, but he had a feeling that it was his mother that held them all together... His mother and, for him, Ela. "Perhaps one day you will get to speak with her a bit more... I am sure that she and Ela would enjoy the company."

"Six? oh my" She laughed softly thinking about having to keep track of that many little ones. Her mother had three and that seemed like had they not all been rather calm little girls that it would have been a handful.

"I do like walking out here, it's nice exercise. So maybe i can venture down more often and talk to them."

"Four girls and two boys." He nodded slowly. "I believe that, for the most part, my brother is the hardest to keep track of... Then there are my sister's children..." They had a rather large family when one sat down to actually think about it. It was a good thing that he had already thought on it before.

"Oh ... that sounds, interesting." She laughed as she thought about that. In her family there was just her, her two sisters and her parents. Neither of their parents had ever said anything about siblings so she assumed it was just them and maybe her grandparents if they were still out there somewhere. "I wonder if i'll ever have nieces or nephews."

"One day, perhaps... Stranger things have happened; my niece and nephews, for instance." He smirked, letting his eyes close for a moment. "I am not sure that anyone believed that my sister would come home one day with three young ones in tow. Mother seemed happy enough about it though..."

"Do you like your nieces and nephews?" She tilted her head to look at him as they continued along the cliff face. She thought if either of her sisters had children that she'd like playing with them. She had fun as a foal so playing with foals again seemed like it would be nice.

"I have met one of them... And heard stories of the other two. My one nephew is..." He paused his walk for a moment, tilting his head towards the sky as he thought of the best way to describe Mordecai. "A bit like me... Only slightly more awkward, perhaps? We are both far too quiet and contemplative to have many conversations but, perhaps one day..."

"Should be easier for you to understand each other then." She nodded. "You'd know where each other was coming from." She would hope that his nephew liked him for that. "Does he stay here at the beach? or elsewhere?" She had liked Acheron's sister so she might like to meet this nephew too one day.

"A bit... I believe it gives us more of a reason to leave the other to their space and contemplation." A slight smile curved the corners of his lips. "He comes to visit from time to time because he knows, as I do, that we all return to the sea if only to see one another. He lives... In the forest, I think." They had crossed paths once or twice in the forest... It would make sense for his nephew to live there.

"Maybe i will see him one day too then." She smiled at him as she stopped to look down over the cliffs. There was a bay down there that looked like it would be nice if there was a beach to enjoy it from. Mother nature had an odd way of making some of the most beautiful things the hardest to see.

"If you visit often enough I am sure that you will." He nodded slowly, not realizing just how long his deep, dark gaze seemed to linger on her before he finally looked back over the sea. "The most beautiful thing about the sea is the way the sun rises from it and sets into it."

"I've never seen that ... only over the mountains." She loved watching the sun set behind the peeks. It turned them beautiful shades of orange and red.

"If .. if you would walk me home, maybe i could watch the sunset tonight?" IT would mean staying out here for a while but it could be nice to see once at least.
