She blinked and stopped as another mare appeared out of the gloom. Looking between the two she wondered if they were related somehow. They almost had to be with the coloration and the flames.

"A mare like me?" Her brow lofted slightly. "Why question me when you could go back to questioning her?" She turned her attention back towards the petite mare as she moved closer to the two, eying her with a dark gaze.
"Ember..." His eyes narrowed as he stepped between his sister and Atae'Seirei. "You're showing your ugly in front of someone who isn't family. Do behave yourself."

She stepped back a bit when the other mare moved closer to her. Pyre hadn't frightened her for some reason but this other mare did a little. At least she knew she didn't want to be all that closer to her.
"He was questioning me until you came."

"Awww... You mean I interrupted something?" She nickered softly, giving her tail a slight tick behind her which caused her flames to leap as the air caught them. She was amused by the way the little mare stepped back... And definately by the way her brother stepped forward to take the defense. "Aren't you even going to introduce us, Pyre?"
"Yes, yes, of course." He snorted softly before rolling his eyes. "Atae, this is my obnoxious, older sister, Ember... Ember, I believe you heard me say her name so that I need not repeat myself for you again."

"H-hello." She stayed behind Pyre so that the other mare couldn't get to her. She might have been related to Pyre but she didn't seem like him at all.

"Now who's not being nice, Pyre?" She smirked as she leaned in, giving her brother's mane a tug with her teeth only to laugh when he drew back quickly. "I'm not all that much older than you are... You should be nice to family."
"And you should take a bit of your own advice." He snorted softly as he shook his head, turning his back to yet another one of his siblings before giving Atae'Seirei a gentle nudge. "C'mon... I'll walk you back home." For once he hoped that she wouldn't protest.

"I ...." She moved with the nudge, glancing back at Ember, before she headed back toward her family's home.
"I wasn't going to go home you know." She whispered at him once she thought they were out of earshot. "I do sleep out here alone some times."

He shook off the lingering feeling that had been left behind from his sister's laughter, glancing over his shoulder for a moment before looking back to the little mare he was now escorting. "I don't even know where your home is, little Siren... As a result, I couldn't walk you there unless you actually wanted to be there." He snorted softly, shaking his head. "I'd hope you'd at least consider it over lingering in the woods tonight."

"Is she ... that bad?" She stopped and turned so she could look at him. She could technically let him walk her home if it would be a bad idea to be out here though she doubted her father would like it. Maybe she could let him walk her almost home.

"She's not bad..." He didn't think that any member of his family was really bad save for, perhaps, his younger brother. Their father had done his best to mellow out what moods and temperments they might have gotten from their mother. "She's just..." His nose wrinkled as he shook his head, finding a wry smirk slipping into place. "She enjoys causing trouble more than I do. Doubt your daddy would like you getting into trouble with a pesky mare."

"I doubt my daddy would like me getting into anything with anyone." She smiled for a moment before she shook her head and headed back toward the rocks her family called home.
She knew daddy wouldn't like Pyre even if she did think he was interesting. At least he didn't pick on her for being small.

"Of course he wouldn't. Fathers generally prefer it if their children stay out of trouble... Especially when their children are girls." He smirked as he stepped closer to the petite mare, brushing his shoulder against hers. "Probably means we should stop bumping into each other like this. I doubt I'm the sort of stallion most fathers would approve of their daughters being around."

"So .... you really don't want to be my friend do you?" He had called her a silly girl and he did keep telling her that he shouldn't be around her. It made sense after all.
She smiled and bowed her head slightly. "I'm sorry to have caused trouble between you and your sister. I'll try not to bump into you anymore"

"Hey, hey..." He paused his movements, turning his head to look at her. The flames licking at his legs died down to a slight flicker as he watched her. "Trouble? You haven't caused any trouble... On the contrary, I would say that I'm the trouble maker; interrupting your quiet not once but twice now... Aren't boys supposed to warn nice girls that they're trouble before they get too close?"
A slight smirk curved his lips as he stepped closer to her, stretching out his neck in an attempt to brush his cheek against hers. "Would you rather I not give you any sort of warning, Seirei?"

"I thought the ones that gave you trouble were the ones that didn't warn you." She rested her head against his for a minuet. "The bad ones just swoop down and carry on and drag you along with them and then the next thing you know they've run off with the next pretty thing they find."
The ones that warned you were usually the good ones. At least they knew they were up to something and were nice enough to give you a fair shot at getting away.
