Jasmine stared in awe as she watched the boy toss the bracelet over into the mountain. She shivered at the thought, now noticing a more realistic feel then it was before. "Hurt you? I'd think it would. It may not hurt as much than if you were in front of me, but it would still hurt. Do you have one of those earpieces that cancel out the bad sound waves?" She showed him the paper, her mind reeling again as he had basically offered her a free range chance to test her voice as long as he wouldn't be hurt.
"I have one in my room, would it still work if I brought it here?" She was then relieved that everyone in the boarding house had received one so she could start talking normally.
((The last paragraph is kind of iffy, since I just made it up. Would it make sense that the people in the house received one?))

"Yeah, you could... wait a moment." Ace frowned, "Uh, if you used your powers unwittingly HERE, you'd...uh..you're home, so. Probably not smart." He frowned, blushing a bit now. Oops. He almost got her whole building to topple on her. "Uh... You need to go to a real training room sometime! I bet you do though. Do they have this sort of program? It'd be cool if they did, wouldn't it be neat to see your powers in action like that?"
He wasn't looking at her now though, trying to babble off his embarrassment. Really... How stupid could you get?
OOC: You got him to call my bluff! Hah... Uhm... wouldn't her powers affect the walls/china/glass around though if she spoke?

Jasmine blinked as he began to look a little embarrassed. She had actually forgotten about the damage that would occur in her own house if she had screamed. "Ah... Oh yeah, the house would be brought down. Not in the good way, though." She smiled again, showing Ace the paper. When he was finished, she started writing again. "Well, not exactly. Only real life stuff and the extra stuff I've been doing on Fridays. I haven't really been in this thing except for the Christmas party and now."
The girl seemed a little confused, though, on why he seemed a little too much embarrassed. She knew that he thought he had done something stupid, but he wasn't facing her. She turned back to her book. "Eh, don't worry about it."

Ace grinned a bit at her first comment, and by the end of her last comment he didn't seem so upset about that anymore.
But he had a new thing to rave about, "They haven't really trained you at ALL?!?! But Uncle Charles trusted you with the deathly, evil, awful creatures!" He laughed a little, killing his impression of Charles. If the saracasm hadn't done that already... "Did you get one? Mine looks like I do! It's so funny! We call him Pocket Ace! That was Dad's name. Oh... You really need to train. That's so weird that they haven't helped you yet. I know they've been busy though and all, with all the weirdos popping up around here. Did they say when they would though? I wonder if they gotta fix up a special grounds for you or something."

As Ace made his comment about the 'evil and fearful' creatures, Jasmine did her best to choke back a must-needed laugh at the imression. "My coal-rabbit Myrna is neon-y colored. I like her, but a few people look surprised at the colors when I let her tag along to school. And I have been training, but barely. Most of it's in combat, though. I don't know if they're going to set up something other than a soundproof room, though." She shrugged again before writing. "Which won't be much fun because if you soundproof a room it looks like you're setting someone up for the loony bin."

"Well good, they can make it, and then we can find a way to trap Uncle Charles in it. He needs that." Ace grinned, "Then we can go to some REAL mountains and you can try and... and we can make avalanches! Oooohhh, I bet your powers would be awesome against the REAL avalanche! Make his whole dirt-castle that he made CRrrruuummble in!! Hah, you could be the heroine of all! Stop the war and EVERYTHING. Better than Flashcharge himself! Yeah!!" Ace jumped up again as he spoke, unable to sit still, but as before he circled around and plopped down beside her, "And be knighted like Sir Aquifer...or whatever it is they do to girls. You could be Lady Jasmine and stuff!"

Jasmine choked down another laugh. "I'd think he does. Mr. Charles seems like he's..." She turned her sketchbook to the side again. "Not all there, if you know what I mean." She shook her head at her memory of the man.
The silent girl's face turned a bright scarlet as Ace talked about what she might have been able to do. "Heh, you're expecting way too much, Ace. I don't think I'd be able to do all that." Her arm reached for the back of her head as he talked. "And I don't think they would knight me..."

Ace laughed gleefully, "Uncle Charles is hypersensitive. He thinks the world is out to get us all! He's ssssooooo OCD and paranoid, and a workaholic. It's a wonder he's not a hypochondriac as well."
He was still giggling as he read the rest of what she wrote and looked up to consider her. He shook his head, "Awh, if you wanna amount to anything, you gotta think BIG!! And you might not get to be knighted or nothing, but maybe you will become super important in some way! Reach for the highest and highest there is, and then you'll still find yourself somewhere awesome. Yeah? Unless you have leaping powers and you go out of the stratosphere, then you won't be able to breathe anymore, if you survive burning up... But that doesn't describe you! Lady Jasmine, the new world's hero, replacing Sir Aquifer! And...and...master to Flashcharge." He laughed, "Ooh boy, to see To---Flashcharge admitting someone was better than him!"

"Yeah, that is a wonder." The silent girl gave a voiceless, airy laugh. "You guys have made him go to a doctor and get him checked out, right?" She let out another airy laugh as she pictured Mr. Charles as a little puppy going to a vet. "'Cause you should make sure he has all of his shots."
Jasmine nodded understandingly at Ace as he told her to think big. If you reach for the highest star in the universe, you might fall, but you still have a huge chance of getting a star that you might think is even better! "You're right, I know. I should really stop thinking negative! The girl laughed again as he started to talk about her maybe-future-grandeur again. This time, she gave him a confident smile, pumping her hands into proud fists.

"Yeah, right, like we could drag him out of the NSA headquarters and into the sunlight!" Ace rolled his eyes, then grinned, "But don't worry, I take care of him and Dad. They get aalllll their vitamins. Except maybe Vitamin D...that's the stuff you get from the sun, right?"
Ace's eyes shone, "Hey, Jazz, maybe you should start your new, positive career with Uncle Charles!! What could we do to make him less narcotic?" Ace grinned, thinking of the possibilities and thinking of the things he had done in the past to the poor men around him.
It was nice to think that maybe he could scheme with someone again.

"I think the 'Dragging him out into the sunlight' you just said sounds like a good idea. But he might not be all that used to light and hiss at it like a vampire." Jasmine gave another laugh at the idea of just strapping a collar on the poor man and dragging him somewhere.
The girl soon was listing down as many ideas on what could be done to get Mr. Charles out of his office. One of her first ideas, of course, was to take him to the theater that she frequently went to, since a lot of people thought that musicals were good for the soul. Other ideas were to force him to go to a theme park and to tour a city, or to merge the idea of getting him out of the house and the meet-and-greet idea.

"He does wear all black and those sunglasses, and he never smiles I don't see his teeth. Maybe he IS a vampire!" Ace mused, "I should check that!!"
"OOohhh, we should force him out in the middle of NO WHERE, like in the forest or something, and make him get back with nothing but a boy scout's guidebook!" Ace said, "And while he's in nature, he'll live a lower stress life and everything and come back MUCH better. Or...or... make him meet a bunch of elderly old ladies that will lecture him and spoil him!" Ace grinned, "I bet he's never had a cookie in his LIFE! All he lives off of is coffee...ech!"

"Hm, I'd think getting dumped out in the middle of a forest would freak me out. Let's just find something normal to do that he'd... 'agree' to." Jasmine smiled almost wickedly as she wrote that down, thinking that it would kind of be fun to force Mr. Charles to, well... Live. He couldn't really spend every waking minute in the same place- it's unhealthy, and boring. Even though the two were probably going to go to odd methods to make him do so, but giving him something to get his mind off of work would be good for him.
"Live off of coffee? I hope he knows he can get a heart attack by doing that. My Uncle Garth had that happen to him- its not really something you want to go through." Now Jasmine felt a bit more anxious to get the poor man out of that building- it would probably save his life in the long run!

"But a forest would at least wake him UP!" Ace said, then frowned, "I mean, we're saving this man's LIFE! He's gonna go into cardiac arrest at 30 years ooolllld! And he's dragging MY DAD down too! Hmph. What right does he have to do that? And what's going to happen to US? I mean, what kind of new boss...ok, we could do with a better boss." Ace snickered, "Heya. That's it! We should make him hire help, and...and then MAKE him go to all of our fun parties, and make him do stuff... He needs to come to some of my games. And he should..should...uh, what do old people like to do?"

She nodded as she wrote down her thoughts again, frowning at what Ace said about Mr. Charles bringing down Ace's father down the looking-and-acting-eighty-years-old-at-thirty laundry chute. "And he would need the exercise, too." Although she wasn't the one that should talk, since she was still having trouble with her training.
"I'm not sure, but the idea is just to get his nose out of his office." As an added bonus, she added a quote from a musical called 'Mame'. "Y'know, the fellow he should be is three dimensional."
