He followed her nodding considerately while successfully holding back his amusement. "Well.. I think that I need a bit of a kuriel pepper. And also a few other small spices like basil and mint." He said still keeping his voice stable... just barely. Though his mirth was making it quite hard to keep his face hidden also. As a little bit of silver hair showed itself before hiding again.

And he wasn't really sure how much longer he could keep the ruse going. So he knew that very soon he would have to break it otherwise she might figure out who he was. And that would ruin all the fun!!

She stopped in her tracks and looked up...He sounds...Odd.. In any case.. She didn't say much as her thought drifted off to what places to go to and what he could be making. Lamb?.. a light soup? Hmn...Ah! I know just the place! AND I can get myself some stuff there as well... She nodded and pointed.

"We'll be heading that way. And you're in luck! There's a very good buchers shop just across the store we'll be getting to." She smiled some what proud of herself. As if she could be an 'A' class tour guide of some sort.

"...So.. What brings you around here?.."

Now that her her only task left was walking.. She had to let her curiosities fly.

He smiled a bit as he followed her. "Well I originally came here to find someone." He mentioned as he had pondered what to tell her. And as they arrived at the merchant he quickly choose out his herbs and peppers before handing a few coins to the merchant.
"Thank you sir... have a wonderful day!!" The merchant said to him before moving on to the next customer.

"But also getting a little bit of peace on the side wasn't a bad thing. The person I was looking for was kind though a bit strict. And she seemed to always berrate me every time I dodged getting into trouble. And amazingly I somehow could talk my way out of it. Not to mention she had these wonderful bright grey eyes..." He said before taking her hand and kissing it. But while doing so he slid a small token into her hand. It had a silver dragon on one side... and her little "gang's" symbol on the other side.

He laughed as he gently letting go of her hand and pulling back the hood. Thus revealing a familiar warm smile and the silver black hair everyone knew so well."And ya know.. I think I found her."

Shin forgot about her herbs for a second as she listened tentatively to his story. But as he went on her eyes grew bigger, and she could feel her stomach drop when he grabbed her hand and kissed it letting his words process for a bit. She felt her heart pound. Oh... B... S! It.. wait... We all thought... But no?... hold on! What!? She looked down at the coin in her hand wide eyed and mouth now gaping. She glanced back up at the man in front of her. ...That stranger.. He's.. No he's.. He IS... Is he? ... I think I'm gonna faint...She look back and forth between him and the coin and suddenly her memory rushed back to her and her chest pounded... She stared at him for a bit longer- how he changed. His smile, She knew that smile. She loved that smile. It melted her heart and she remembered...

"Chris?"

She whispered- her voice apparent in shock, relief, and joy, and love, and hurt.. in many emotions. Her eyes watered, though it didn't lose the stupid look on it.

"I... You...but.."

And just then... Her prediction was right. The world around her grew blurry and then nothing. She fainted.

Chris was quick to catch her. He laughed a bit. It was a better reaction than he expected. But he didn't mean for her to faint. He carefully cradled her in his arms and carried her as he walked away from the market. Somewhere a little less crowded would be a better place.

It only took a few minutes thankfully to get away from the crowds and market. There was a small park that had been built in Kalm recently and it had plenty of benches. So he took the one parked in front of the largest fountain. Which was decorated with angels and feathers bronzed in silver and white marble. And gently he laid her down and used his cape as a pillow for her. It wasn't the best arrangement. But it wasn't horrible either.

He softly whispered to himself "I missed you also Shin..." He was just glad to see her again. That made his world a lot better to say the least. After all she had been the only one he told why he was leaving. And she was the only one he trusted truly. No.. it probably went far beyond trust. Though he usually kept it locked away in his heart.

The first thing that hit her consciousness was the sound of water. But she kept her eyes closed....Was it a dream?... God... Maybe that last year is finaly starting to seriously mess with me... Oh man.. How do i tell mom I'm crazy? She slowly opened her eyes. then looked to her side. Nope. NOt a dream at all.

"Ah!" She sat up quick from surprise. Then, with out a thought, she slapped him.

She breathed hard staring at him with a furious look on her face while she studied him each second, her heart melting in a pool of emotion. What a day for travel.

He smiled a bit at her little furious smile. "Sorry I'm late.." He said softly nodding a little. "So what will it take to get you to forgive me for this one?" Chris added on in earnest concern. After all... he was only 2 years and 4 months late on returning..

So he owed her an apology.. and whatever else she wanted from him right now. He may not have had much in the way of money.. but he knew that wasn't really what she cared for.

He had never let go of the small token she had made for him so long ago. And that was what he handed her. Though his words betrayed his hearts feelings on a very remote level. But only on a small level.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:08 pm

She pursed her lips.

"Late!?! We all thought you were dead! Two and a half years is SO passed late! It's... a bad game of .. Hide and go seek is what it is! More like... Hide and go... Worry yourself to death! Or like.. Something."

(Not her brightest words...) She went retarded and just stared more in disbelief. She glanced back down at the coin and played with it. Then back up at him.

"A hug..." She whispered. "... You owe me a hug."

She looked at him with demanding eyes. "And you have to come to dinner... Mom was just as worried when you never came back...And I'm not even done!" That was a lie.. no one was as worried as Shin was.. not even Dart.

Her eyes watered again and she thought of the last few years since he left. The years with him were times of serenity. And then he left and chaos hailed hell on her. It was as though he was a silent guardian to her side, where he left.. so did the light. She remembered when she lost Kun, she often thought.. First Chris... Now this... She remembered wishing she had his hand to hold when she felt dead.

The moment now... was too surreal. The angels in the back.. the water glistening and splashing with light. The earth lush and green. And before her she stared at the face that lifted her heavy spirit with just a glace.

"...I'm so glad.. You're here.."

She let her arms wrap around his neck and rested her cheek gently against his.

"Thank the gods... Thank Leviathan..."

She whispered letting her hot tears fall from her cheeks.

Clouse was laying in the back of a old truck bed halve asleep, the bumpy ride being the only thing keeping him awake. The old truck was heading from what was left of Midgar to Kalm, the man driving the truck was a old friend of the family, old fart still lived in the ruins, Clouse had no idea why though, all that was there any longer that he knew of were graves. As town came into site the old man yelled back at Clouse, "Kid, kid, wake up! Where here!" Clouse couldn't help but yawn as he did his best to sit up in the moving truck. "Alright already, geese old man, let a guy some sleep once in while." Under his breath he said, "It hasn't changed." The old man basically ignored Clouse's comments, far to use to them by now. "So, why Kalm kid?" Clouse had to think for a second on that one, but couldn't reply any better than, "No idea, gramps. Not a one." That was about all they said before having to slow down and stop to get out, the old man crawled out of seat rather slow while Clouse stood up and jumped over truck bed's walls and onto the ground. "See ya round old man, I'm gonna see if theres any reason for me to really be here." In other words, he was gonna wonder around rather aimlessly, he was nothing special, most the older town folk had seen him come around since he was knee high to a grasshopper. Yet it was a place he could never call home, to many people he knew, it just felt weird to him. "Lets see, breakfasts sounds nice." He said it with a touch of regret, he knew the people that owned the dinner, damn he hated coming back here sometimes, to many memories. Non-the-less, he started to make his way there.

Chris stood up and lightly tapped her leg a little so he could sit next to her. He didn't have the heart to tell her he couldn't even remember the last two years. So for now he would avoid answering about that. Just for a little while, until she was adjusted a bit.

"A hug.. i think I still have quite a few of those left." He said warmly to her while putting his arms around her and hugging her to his chest, his hand gently caressing her back. "I'm sorry I made you worry." Were the words that left his lips in a soft manner. And were topped with a kiss on the forehead.

The hug felt like forever.. but not in a bad way. Chris had missed her after just a few days he was considering going back. But on the other hand he needed to find his brother and the missing city. Originally as planned he was only away for two years like planned. But not even half a mile away from Edge he was drugged out.

Upon seeing her demand shortly after the hug with the same demanding eyes that he loved and they pretty much said "You owe me dammit". So with a warm smile and a soft laugh Chris replied to her. "How could I refuse to see mom?" Her mom was only his "mom" in essence, not in blood. She was the closest thing he had to a mom since Myst disappeared. He would never forget the day she took him in. Nor the incredulous look upon her face when she saw he wasn't lying when he said Myst had disappeared.

And Chris had three people to thank. Dart, Shin, and her mother. The father had only his ire on the other hand. But leviathan forbid him to talk bad upon anyones family members. It wasn't polite nor respectful. So he would still be respectful even when it was clear the father didn't deserve it.

(Finally... The Jhay has come back, to the Event Square... Shaaaa)

The air was slightly chillier than he was used to, and held his gi close to his chest as he swept the cold tile beneathe him clean. Despite his teacher's unforseen leave of the dojo, he had been left in charge of the small school and was dead set on keeping it up. After the attack by Dahn Hibiki on his own class, most of the students had left him to himself.
"Shaaaa, the hell am I doing here... I mean, what am I saying, it's the school of Saikyo... But Jhay, it's empty and bare, you're basically the only mofo stupid enough to stay here!" He argued back with himself, and a cold wind blew past him and he stopped to shiver in the cold. It really was true, the lonlier you were, the colder you seemed to get.
He couldn't help but sigh, and held onto his little immitation materia. It had allowed him to do a little of what he was used to be able to do, but his clone and mime materias had been destroid when he fought with Dahn. He had lost a teacher, a school, his materia, and even recently lost a close friend.
"Loki!" he yelled, missing his old friend. Saikyo Ryuu had been based off of Ansatsuken, but also been half based from Muay Thai. At the very least, the two could help each other out when they were rusty, and shoot the breeze whenever they had anything on their minds. His blonde friend had left the family to go off somewhere, to where nobody knew, but somewhere. And it was now that he really needed him to be around that he wasn't there. "Loki, you b*****d... Ahh! Hishou, Buraiken!" He clenched his immitation materia and struck the tree with the highs and low kicks and punches that he had been working on before he tried for a koryuken on a branch. The anger blinding him, he tripped on a root and fell down, left only to stare as the leaves fell down from the tree. "This tree's a lot like me... Standing proud, but dying a little every day, and every day finding it harder and harder to stay up. Sharrrrrrrr...." he thought as he rolled back up, and dusted himself off. "Oh well... Bahala Na...* So long as I believe in Saikyo, life will... Ahh.... I don't even know anymore."

(Come what may in Tagalog... Sorah.)

Finally Shin smiled. She wiped her eyes and looked up at him. For some odd reason she felt an odd contentment in her. As though she had finally fulfilled a long unknown craving... She'd often get that way about food, wanting tacos but can't tell. So she'd just end up rummaging through the shops and pantries until she'd decide to make it one day and think. 'Yes... This is what it was.' She was engulfed in his warmth and scent if only for a while and thought to herself. Thank the Gods I'm not crazy...

"Alright then," she looked over at him and tilted her head slightly. Her hand reached out and gently touched his cheek with curiosity, " You look different- I mean the same... but different."

She grinned and stood dusting herself off.

"Any who, you can tell me about the change and your travels over supper. I've still got a chicken to buy, oh Mysterious Stranger!"

She looked at her watch. A lot more time had passed by than she expected. Her gaze met his again and she smiled big. In the back of her head though, she worried.. How Chris would take the news of their beloved Dart. Just then she looked up and realized eyes peering out at them from a distance. The crowd had found them again and she looked around in gloom. Ah man.. She can already here her ears ringing from the storm of question everyone was ready to ask her.

"Ah, There it is, Junon. Damn this place still smells like dead fish." Leon said to himself as he near the entrance."Lets see I'm suppose to get someone named... Henry Garins, Feel almost sorry for him."
Leon walk into the city, accompanied by the screams of several families who rushed inside at the sight of him, he had been here before, and had left quite a mess."Hey you guard tell me where Henry Garins is."

The guard looked up and said, "Its the house closest to the beach, sir."
Leon waved his hand in a careless motion, and walked away towards the beach."Uh, I hate the smell of this place, waste and fish. If I had my way this place would burn to the ground tonight."

For the most part Clouse ignored everyone and anyone how didn't run up to him, so he made it the dinner just in time to catch the last few people that worked there running outside, one lady in her mid-seventies stopped in front of him and called him by name, he wish she hadn't, "Oh, Clouse, you came to visit, guess what I just heard." She explained all the rumors and what not, he didn't really care, it didn't really sound like anyone he knew. "Silver hair? What is he, your age or something?" The old woman shook her head and grabbed him by the hand to drag him there, "Come on, see for yourself." She said, he had little choice in the manner, he couldn't eat until she started back cooking, and he preferred to stay on her good side. "Whatever, hay, hay, hay! I'd said I'd come, no reason to pull my arm off..." Getting the point he hurried along behind her.

"Oh am I that different?" He asked teasingly. "Maybe I should be testing that out." The joke came out as he stood up slowly and held his hand out to her. The small crowd it seems who already were looking at the strange guy who looked like he was from Coasta Del Sol with silver and black hair had noticed his companion.

"Tschh... thats the problem about small towns." He said laughing softly. "So how hard do you think its gunna be to make it through that crowd?" They were bound to ask questions so he knew it would take either A. "Disappearing" or B. Answering a ton of questions. At this rate her mother would figure out that he was here before she would even see him.
