Quote: I have to admit though, my family did the perfect Christmas thing and bought me three of the new nvidia cards. The good thing about PC games is that they're scalable for the most part. However finally getting Crysis to run on Very High at a good framerate makes me happy. That stupid demo lied to me. What kind of power supply does your computer have? Plus does your motherboard support 3 graphics cards?

Griggle990 Games sell when a game had good graphics, good story, good hero, good villain, good environments, and something innovative. The game must also be long, good controls, constant action, and fun. Another thing is the game needs to be known to the public, so it must be shown on TV, newspapers, radio, magazines, store windows, taxi cabs, and even blimps. The game must also go through month of testing to make it bug free. Then the game must have large shelf space in stores and their must be enough supply to meet the demand. That is how a game become a big success. Tell that to Kingdom Hearts. All the stuff you mentioned up there, the game completely lacked, yet it sold like hell when it came out. It's not a shining example of fanboy/fangirl over-rating, may I also add that it was one of the worst gaming ideas/crossovers ever, and totally bastardized the awesomeness of crossovers that was set by Aliens vs. Predator, Super Smash Bros., and Quake III: Arena. Yet, the fans loved it, and I'm the only one bold enough in this guild to admit I HATED IT. Now, back on topic: yes, people generally do consider M-rated games as "hardcore", yet some of them are just so loaded with violence and gore its stupid. Yes, censorship might be the ultimate advertisement, but it didn't work out for Manhunt 2, as reviews for the game were poor at best(I don't know how sales were). However, the censorship did get me thinking of it a bit.......but in the end, yes, I do believe content can affect sales/credibility in either a positive or negative way.

The reason the Manhunt 2 was a bad game was because they had to take out all of the gore and reduced the graphics. I don't know why it was thretined to be an AO rated game, since God od War might not have been any less gory then the original idea for Manhunt 2. It might have been picked on becuause the first game was controversial.

Actually, Manhunt 2 got high sixes and low sevens, not awesome, but it warrants an average game.
I like Kingdom Hearts. Nothing, and I mean nothing, satisfies like bringing down a giant blunt spiked key upon Caption Barbarossa's a**. Of course, people fanboied over the game, but not about how it was good or bad, but about how sexy the characters looked. I still don't see it. I mean, cmon, Laxryne (or however the hell you spell it) is a total b***h.
Alien vs Predator failed on it's a** so hard, it's not even funny. It ******** hilarious.

What the hell are you talking about? I mean the games, not the movies. Aliens vs. Predator 2 was well received critically. And yes, Quake III: Arena actually was a cross-over, as it used maps, weapons, characters, and mechanics of both Quake and Doom. Kingdom Hearts just wasn't all that great. Not only because of the fans, but the quality of the game just wasn't very good. And Manhunt 2 was unfairly targeted. I've seen gorier games out there that weren't even targeted like Manhunt 2 was.
