Shima stared in space for a couple of moments and then her brain registered the teacher's instructions. She was never good in the morning anyways. Downing the rest of her drink with her sandwich, nearly made her choke. Coughing, Shima stood up to jog with the class.

It took her a few long moments to pick up her bag, but by then she was behind some of the class. Oh well. No matter. Shima jogged at a slow care-free place, more like half-heartedly walking. Then again, much of Shima's efforts were contributed to sleeping, not jogging.

After a short jog The health teacher reached the shoreline then jogging in place she turned to face her approaching students " Alright you guys time to strap your skates on." She pointed out to a section of frozen water section off with orange pilons ." We're going to be skating on this stretch of ice. Once your skates are on those of you with skating experience can head out and warm up, those without stick with me.." As she shouted to the girls the mousy woman watched her words become heavy silver mist. It was even color by the shore and that would help test their ability to withstand cold weather and control their breathing in harsh situations both important for performers.

Roslice padded out quietly and looked around. It was obvious that she was late, but according to one of the people she had asked, they were down at the beach. Being a new trainee, having just been accepted, she wasn't sure if she should go down to the beach to join the health class or not. Shaking her head annoyedly, she started jogging. She had a high pain tolerance and temeprature tolerance, so she was dressed only enough to keep herself warm. She wore periwinkle leg warmers, black stockings, a gray pair of shorts, a long-sleeved, black shirt with what looked like splatters or lavender pain on it, and a black track jacket. She picked up the pace to a run and was soon at the beach. She slowed down and walked up to the teacher.
"I'm sorry for being late. I just got accepted into the circus." Her head was tilted down in respect, waiting for the teacher's words. Her skates were held loosely in her hand and rested against her leg.

Oh no, oh no, ohnoohnoohno... thought Cai franctically as he hurriedly rushed to where the students were supposed to meet....twenty minutes ago. This was bad. He'd promised himself that he'd really give circus life his all and yet, here he was running late; on his first class too for that matter. This was indeed a bad start to a new begining; Cai's begining at any rate...

Glancing up, Cai could make out the dim figures of the others as they practiced on the shoreline. Perhaps (if he was lucky) class had not really started at all.

Hefting his skates over his shoulders, the young boy took a deep breath and made a dash for the group; only to stumble and collapse before them in a tangled heap of skates, overly-large clothes and confusion.

Natalie listened to the teacher’s words and looked out over the pylon. That was simple! She strapped on her boyish skates and tied them tight to the point were he feet couldn't move from them. Good! She thought cheerfully. She smiled two other people came running toward them one was speaking to the teacher. The other a boy, fell in front of them trying to catch up.

"Hey are you ok?" she asked the boy with grayish hair walking over awkwardly on her skates to help him up she flicked her ears backward and smiled. This would damage her sharpness a bit but she would take care of them when she got back to the stage.

Chiyako nodded, strapping on her skates as Natalie had done, tight. She always had a thing for having her shoes tied tightly, and working barefooted annoyed her. When she wasn't allowed shoes, she'd bind her feet up, but not enough to do as the Chinese did.
With that, she approached the ice. It had been awhile, hadn't it? Nevertheless, she took her first glide out onto the gleaming surface, failing to fall.

Roslice raised a brow when Cai fell near her. She heard another girl ask if he was all right and turned her head slightly to look at him. She blinked quietly at him, almost in welcome.
"At least you're not the only one late," she said, smiling. She reached out her hand to help him out, a small smile on her face.

Shima witnessed the fall and late trainee. I'm jealous. I wish I could of made a dramatic entrance like falling. I'm sleepy. This cold isnt very nice.

She stared absentmindedly at the lake, her head nodding off. Shima took her time, reaching for her skates in her bag. She took an even longer time to put them on, as her cold fingers seemed to move at the rate of a snail, to tie her laces. She seemed to be staring at the group with the late trainees, but Shima's head was full of warm hot chocolate.

She sat there in the snow, in no hurry to stand up although the snow was making her jacket bottom wet. 5 more minutes...

Kayla looked over at Shima as she finished lacing up her skates. The purple haired girl seemed to be stuck in neutral, though this wasn't horribly uncommon for the girl. " Come on Shima the sooner we get out on the ice the warmer and more awake we'll be" Or colder if they made a lot of connections with the ice, either way they'd be more awake.

That said the redheaded made her way to the edge of the ice and tentatively stepped out onto it. lack of Practise combined with lack of general skill left Kayla wobbling on her skates as she inches forward on the slippery surface.

Chiyako noticed Kayla wobbling, and skated over. "Would you like some help adjusting?" She offered her hand to her, giving another one of her big smiles. While skating wasn't one of her best talents, she could still keep her balance and help get the others used to the feel of the ice. After all, every little bit of understanding what they stood on made all the difference.

The eacher just shook her head and smiled, well at least she only had one , aside possibly from the late boy, student who wasn't really ready to do a lot of exercises on the ice. Ahh well she'd probably do well with the written work later.

Clearing her throat Miss Stone made certain she had everyone's attention. " Alright experienced skaters I want you doing laps aroudn the safety zone, keep track of how your breathing changes and how your muscles and reflexes react in this different environment. Nothing fancy for now though we'll move into backwards skating and harder stuff in about ten minutes."

That said she looked over at Chiyako and Kayla, if the other Trainee was going to help Kayla she supposed she could allow it for now, at least it promoted team work.

Roslice nodded quietly and took her shoes off. She pulled on her skates and deftly laced them up. She tucked her shoes into her bag, setting it off to the side and started to walk to the edge of the ice. She gently tapped the ice before stepping on it and started to skate slowly, taking her time to get used to it. She gradually picked up speed as she continued to skate, breathing evenly and deeply. She monitered her body carefully, fighting the natural urge to breathe faster.

Shima gradually stood up, taking her time to go on the ice. She was a frequent rollerblader so the ice didn't feel as foreign as it might did to some people. In a daze, she found herself sliding backwards. She slipped and fell in an almost comical way.

Crap! That woke me up!

She felt the icy cold lake hit her hands, and she quickly scambled to stand up.

Uh. Nobody say that!

She slowly went back to skating, casually. Very casually. The ice wasn't as different from a smooth ground, as much as Shima thought. They were actually pretty similiar.

"Umm...yes...I am," Cai mumbled and after a moment's hesistency, grasped the other's hand. "Thanks,"

Having gotten up, Cai then eyed the others sheepishly, like a puppy caught doing somthing it shouldn't, before turning to the instructor in charge. "I'm sorry ma'am, this won't happen again promise,"

That being said, the young boy then eyed his skates curiously. He had never skated before and those blades attached to the bottom of the shoes looked sharp. Was he seriously able to move on ice like this?

Chiyako glanced at the instuctor, but reverted her gaze back to Kayla. "Come on! It'll be fun!" She smiled again, laughing slightly. "Teamwork makes everything better!"
