Part-Time Viking I like that they didn't make up some stupid category just so that Halo 3 could get an award... However, I'm bummed that people seemed to have ignored Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank Future:TOD. I still love the hell out of those games... These were the canidates for the best Xbox 360 and PS3. Xbox 360COD 4 Forza 2 Halo 3 The Orange Box Rock Band PS3Assasin's creed COD 4 Rock Band The Elder Scrolls 4 Warhawk

Zombicide See people? This is EXACTLY what I feared! You ignore Halo 3 completely. Yeah, call me a ******** fanboy all you want (despite the fact I'm not), but Halo takes a lot of s**t, and I think it should've won some awards on there. Halo may be over-rated, but that gives people no right to ignore it. And Game of the Year should have been BioShock. However, I do agree with the lousy Wii ports as worst trend, since Wii ports always have tacked-on motion controls that make the game less fun to play.

Not to mention the fact that IGN barely mentioned Heavenly Sword in their Best of '07 PS3 category. It wasn't even nominated for Best Animation.

The game industry is not the same as it was in 2004. There are too many better game out there this year. I guess you agree with the spike TV game awards if you think the Bioshock won Game of the Year. The thing is that both Bioshock and SMG both have no multiplayer. Multiplayer these days is essential, and I cannot belive the a single player only game could win this year. Are you implying that Halo 2 only won in 2004 because it's Halo? Very ignorant.....Halo 3 should've won something because it was an excellent game. You guys really need to open up a bit more towards Halo. You treat it as if it's yesterday's trash. And BioShock had multiple endings which added replay value. Also, it was better overall compared to Super Mario Galaxy. Better graphics, better sound, more creative, and just more fun overall. And in the end, isn't playing a game all about having fun? Oh, and funniest game should have gone to The Simpsons Game, because Orange Box was not meant to be funny at all.

I can't believe it. GAMESPOT voted a Nintendo game GOTY. Astonishing.
And Zombicide, I agree Halo deserves some awards. At LEAST give it soundtrack or musical score. I mean, COME ON! I played it for the first time yesterday, and the music during the menus, made me want to break down and cry. TELL ME THAT'S NOT AWESOME!!!!

Crysis won for best shooter? I find that strange. Not that it's not a great game, but...I can name better. I might be talking out of turn because I haven't played it, but... CoD4 anyone?
Other than that, I'm good with everything.

Kind of like JRPGs and WRPGs differences. I would say overall I enjoy COD4 more than Crysis simply for multiplayer but if we were to talk strictly single player then the amount of things and ways you can play Crysis just trounces COD4.
However Uncharted not winning best PS3 game is atrocious.

But BioShock was better than CoD 4 and Crysis. BioShock's powers were a bit cooler, and it was FAR more creative than CoD 4.
