Sirati was surprised by the sudden presence of the cubs father and glanced up with curiosity mingled with respect. She was delighted to see that Hodari and Angavu's father looked more similar to her own father than most of the lions she met. A lot of the lions in her own home pride looked a bit different, physically, from her father. This male looked much more like him, though with different colorings. Plus, he looked quite friendly and Sira believed that he might have a better chance of knowing how to help her get home.
"Hello there sir! My name is Sirati and I'm a bit lost. Your cubs and Mnyama here were just trying to help me find my way back home. Perhaps you would know? I live in the Kusini'Mwezi lands. I got lost about a week ago, and I haven't been able to find my way back yet."
She grinned a bit sheepishly at that. Sira prided herself on her independence and her ability to fend for herself. Unfortunately, she was just terrible with directions and once she was lost, she would wander until she would find her way miraculously back home.

Kei, so glad to be in the company of his cubs once again, continued to nuzzle them until Anga began to speak rather enthusiatically. "Where she lives?" Kei asked, glancing over to the new cub, Sirati. "Well, that would really depend on whether or not I knew where her pride is. Where did you say that was?" In contrast to his large stature and dark colors, Kei spoke rather gently and calmly with the cubs.
When Sirati introduced herself, Kei smiled. She was rather polite and to the point for a cub. Reminded the male of his own cubs for a moment. "Ahh.. The Kusini lands.." Kei looked away for a moment, as though to position a mental map of the various prides around him. When he stopped, he was facing the direction he believed to be towards Sirati's pride.
Returning his gaze to the small group of cubs, Kei continued to speak, "The Kusini lands, though I am only vaguely familiar, are quite a distance away. I would be glad to escort you to ensure your safety, but sadly that will mean I have to leave once again." His eyes locked on to both Angavu and Hodari in sadness. It had been awhile since his last visit, but he had such important news this time.
"If you both would return to your mother and inform her that I came, I will return soon and reward you both with a little secret I have to tell you."
Hodari was about to propose that Angavu and he join his father and Sirati in the journey back when Kei mentioned how far it would be. Lowering his ears, Hodari frowned a bit. Surely Kei wouldn't even think it possible for them to join him. Glancing to Angavu sadly, Hodari waited for his father to simply leave. The cub that resembled him so much adored Kei, but was always heart broken at the times of his departure.

Though Sira was young, she was also rather observant, and she couldn't help but catch the sad looks on her new friends' faces at the thought of their father leaving again. She hated to cause that sadness, just because she had gotten herself lost. Her blue gaze traveled in the direction that the male seemed to believe her home was. If she set off now, she would be able to make it back, or at least make it to familiar territory.
She turned back and with a smile said, "Thank you for all your help, but I'm sure I can find my way. I just got turned around. Now that I know what direction I need to go, I should be able to find my way home. Thank you so much for your offer, but I'm sure I can make it. Besides, I bet that I'll run into someone I know soon and they can escort me back."
With that, she bounded off in the direction that the kind male who resembled her father had pointed out. Before she got too far, she glanced back and grinned at the friends she had made. She hoped that someday she would see them again. Turning her gaze back towards home, she bounded off, ready to see her own parents again.

Angavu's eyes didn't leave her father as he thought about which direction Sirati would have to go to get home, and when he stopped in the proper direction her eyes went out to the distance. It would be interesting to see somewhere other than around here, it couldn't be too bad if Sirati had made it all the way from there on her own!
Her expression at Kei's offer to take Sirati home without them was not so much a sad one as it was disappointed or upset at the idea of not being able to go along. Mama would worry, but since they were with daddy it wouldn't really be something to worry about-- but then Sirati took off on her own. She blinked and looked up at her father.
"Are you going to go or stay here?"

While Kei had not said anything about the direction for sure, he was not surprised that the cub paid great attention to his movements. When Sirati announced that she would be leaving on her own, the male wanted to remind her that it was no problem for him to escort her, but Angavu's voice caught his attention. Both of his cubs had come in search of him and here he was so willing to leave again.
When he looked back towards Sirati, she was already bounding off, and luckily in the correct direction. If Kei was not going to assist her, he had to offer something else. Taking a few steps forward, the male called out, "There is a watering hole not too far off! Be sure to cool off and drink before continuing your journey! I wish you the safest travels!"
Once it seemed that Sirati was a small spot in the distance, Kei returned to his cubs and smiled, "I will be staying, but only because I believe Sirati will find her home." Nudging forward, he began towards the pridelands with the hope that his cubs would follow, "Come now, i'm sure your mother is worried."
