She followed after him easily enough once Astoria was taken care of. "It is good she found her way here." The wind mare had always been as close to as sister to her as anyone had ever gotten. It was heartening ot know she was alright.

He nodded slowly as he stopped moving, tail swishing slowly behind him as he thought for a moment. He then turned slowly towards the Dark Lady, brushing his cheek gently against hers. It was strange... Such tenderness coming from a 'brute' such as himself. "We have a tough road ahead of us, Dark Lady... Something that we knew of before but did not stand against. Before we find the others, before we make our stand... I should tell you what is on my mind as this may be the last chance we get for me to do so."

She rested her head against his for a moment. "You know you do not need to tell me anything Teli. I understand."
They had run away thinking they had left their problems behind once. Now they had no choice. They could not let it happen again. They would stand and fight this time and it could be the last stand any of them made.

"I do not need to... But perhaps, this once, I want to." He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he stepped back away from her. He held his head high as he gathered his thoughts before speaking them. "You are a fine knight and defender, Dark Lady... And there is none other that I would rather have by my side in this upcoming time of trouble. You are as wise as you are beautiful... And if you tell anyone that those words came from my mouth..." He managed a slight smirk, eyes gleaming as they opened to look at her.

She laughed softly as she nudged his shoulder with her head. "Now Teli. Why would i ever tell anyone you said something like that?" She wasn't one to boast about things and certainly not about a stallion completemting her.

He brushed his cheek against hers once more before slowly sliding his neck alongside her slender one. "You will return, won't you, Dark Lady? I would hate to know a world without your... Charms."

"Of course i will. Someone has to keep you in line." She nipped lightly at his ear before she leaned against him. They had once bickered constantly about their differences in size. He thinking nothing as 'delicate' as her should be a warrior and her thinking he was nothing but a oversized lug. Now, if only for a moment, she enjoyed the solid weight of him.

They spent more time alone together in the shady glen than they should have. There were things that needed to be done and preparations to make but, for once, it seemed as if time had slowed for them. It had given them a chance to enjoy company that, perhaps, they never would have otherwise.
His ears flickered towards the sound of a twig snapping and he straightened out, giving her a gentle nudge. "Awake, Dark Lady... We have company."
She considered herself rested enough that she thought it would be wise to move on, heading in the direction where she'd seen Telikos and Alysida head off. They had much space to cover and so little time, it seemed.

She stretched slightly as she heard Telikos' voice and then the sound of someone else coming toward them. That would mean that Astoria counted herself rested and they could start on their hunt for the others.

"Promise me that you will take care of yourself, Dark Lady." He murmured softly against her ear, drawing back away from her once Astoria brought herself into view.
"Are we ready, Lady Alysida? I am rested... And I do not believe we should wait another moment."

"I am." She nodded as she stepped away from Telikos. The nod was both for Astoria's question and the stallions. She would take care of herself as always. Hopefully nothing would happen until they had gathered everyone together.

"Very well. Once you find either Tapanga or Lady return to the tree... If I am not there send Astoria with a word for me. She is more likely to find me than the little wild one is." He smirked, giving his head a toss before turning towards the woods. He glanced back over his shoulder once more at the two mares, trotting off before he could say anything else that might later be held against him.
