Alair slipped away as Halycon greeted the teen, much as he wanted to greet his idol. The second best thing was to wander around gawking at the place. It was so....open. His house was all low and dark and spooky secret passages that had cobwebs hanging from floor to ceiling.
The kid only partially heard the warning given by Cordain. It floated in one ear, caught on bathroom, then floated out the other. Decide ding that the huge outdoor area sounded the coolest, he made a beeline for the doors. After all- what in the world was an arboretum?
By the time he found the thing, Alair was in awe. There was practically an entire forest. On top of a building! Having a rather vested interest in nature, he was plant based, and a curiosity to see what was different in a building forest, Alair forsoke the paths to clamber through plant growths.

Cordain gave Alarai a sly smirk at her comment, "I must have been mistaken, but you do have quite the appearance of one miss Alarai." he steps back and glances at everyone, motioning towards the refreshments and food, "Go ahead and help yourselves. There is plenty there and much about my place to see, you could also listen to music, or watch whatever happens to be most entertaining to the group as a whole."
Halcyon frowned at what Papina was saying before he nodded his head, "I'm aware of her kids...she's talked to me about them and I hope you don't think that her and I because we haven't no where near just kissed...but...um...hmmm I don't know...Reign seemed surprised when she heard Isdra was my girlfriend though..."

"Alarai" "Papina" "Luna"
Alarai was about to sputter when she was saved by Cordain's attention going elsewhere. "Ah, hopefully nothing too adult-rated if we're going to watch anything - Luna's still a bit young for that."
Papina wasn't sure if she should be surprised or relieved that Halcyon already knew about the kids. "Uh... Her mind went blank for a moment. He thought that she had thought... "Nono! I didn't think that of you two at all! Honest!" she exclaimed, making several 'no' gestures with her arms. TMI! Her mom wouldn't even let her hug a male her own age! She just thought... Erm, what had she thought?
Luna grinned at Tobi when his eyes went wide. "Of course I mean explore this place! How often do you think either of us will get a chance like this?" Her grin only got wider when Tobi agreed. She missed when he faultered about his brother - she was too caught up in the thought of exploring this place. "Come on!" She promptly forgot that Tobi was made of wax and tried to tug on his arm to bring him along as she started off towards the arboretum-thingy.

Finally getting bored with the plant life, Alair began to thread his way out of the arboretum and back to see if Halycon had finally finished talking yet. As he stepped out of the thicket, the penicillin kid glanced back, watching as Luna and Tobi headed into where he just left. The boy scowled a little, jealousy rising.
Ignoring the feeling, and the other two kids, Alair headed back to Halycon. He tried to not interrupt. He really really tried. As it was he ended up hopping from one foot to the other in impatience. Finally he couldn't stand it any more!
"Will you show me your bike!?" he burst out. "Pleeeaase??"

Halcyon laughs and smiles at Alair. He nods his head slightly and motions towards the elevator, "Sure, pardon me Papina, unless you want to see them too." he says to her before leading Alair back down the hallway and to the elevator. He waited for Alair to join him, and Papina if she was going to join before going down to a private parking garage that was filled with old cars, new cars, expensive cars and a section that was dedicated to motorcycles.
Cordain grinned as he watched his son leave, "Hum...So Papina's finally found someone other than myself to crush on. That's good." he turns back to the adult guests and motions towards the food, "It is open bar for those who drink, there will be chauffered rides home for any who drinks with your vehicles being returned to your property as well."

Luna blinked and turned her head slightly as she saw Alair come out of the arbor-thingy. Must not be much to see if Alair wass coming out of there already. She tugged on Tobi's sleeve and ponited at Alair. "I found Alair! Did we want to go see what he's doing or continue on to the ar-arbor-aboretum?"
Papina was already starting to blush when someone interrupted them, causing her to nearly jump. "Oh hey... Alair?" She was pretty sure that was what Luna had called him. Her eyes widened just a tad at Alair's question and she found herself nodding at Halcyon's invitation to come along. "Sure." She followed both back down the hallway and towards the elevator. Her eyes went quite wide and her jaw about dropped when the doors opened to reveal the garage. Wow. Most of these cars look better than ours, was her first thought. Hopefully her mom wouldn't find out about this.
Alarai eyed Papina as she went back to the elevator with Halcyon and one of the younger ones that Luna had managed to bring along. She didn't think Papina was that fickle, but even if she was, hopefully she had taught the girl enough common sense to not do 'the deed' with the little kid nearby. Actually, she hoped Papina didn't do that sort of thing until after she got married. Ah well, once Papina was an adult, she technically no longer had the authority to tell her what she could and couldn't do. And on that topic... She turned back to Cordain. "Do you ever worry about what Halcyon does when he isn't with you?" For most, that might have seemed out of the blue, but it wasn't impossible for Cordain to figure out what she meant.

Cordain watches Alarai and then smiles a bit as he shakes his head, "No not really. That kid's got too much of a heart to do that. At least when it comes to women, and I'm fairly certain he's not into guys so. I'd say I'm more worried about my own self."

"Wow..." Alair said quietly the word exiting in a whoosh of awe. "It's...It's like your own private car show!" His voice grew with excitement, as Alair began to bounce up and down on his feet.
Hesitantly he took a step forward, then glanced back at Halycon for permission to go among the car heaven.

The loud clicking of her heels made it impossible to make a silent entrance like she wanted. She and the twins had been MIA for quite a while. Life had them in a loop and they were just now coming out of it. It'd been a long time and when her dad told her about the invitation Halcyon had sent to her old address, she had been so excited. Until the day came. Then the freak out started. Aw god, what if he's pissed at me. I mean, I haven't even been in contact with him... What if.. Oh god, I hope not! Oh goodness, maybe I should just let him bit and mosy off... But he did invite me... Her brain was all over the place.
Isdra wandered in with her new look. And it was quite new. Her hair was now a mix of pastels. Cotton-candy pink, baby blue, easter orange, and others made up her hair. It was in a braid, all the colors swirling around each other to make a pastel rainbow. Her attire consisted of a black turtle-neck, tight fitting low-rise jeans, and high heels boots. She looked very fit in the outfit. "Um... Hi..." Was all she could manage.

Cordain glanced at Isdra as she made her entrance, "Hal's been waiting for you. He's with Alair and Papina in the private garage. Just go back into the elevator and press the G button." He turned his attention back to the other adults as he did his best to entertain them.
Hal smiled at Alair then tilted his head a bit, "I-Isdra's here!!" he was obviously excited down as he spun towards the elevator. He glanced back at Alair and smiled, "Look but don't touch, I'm the one that has to clean the smudges."

Papina quickly brought a hand to her mouth to hide her sudden grin. About time she got here. She wasn't certain how Halcyon knew, but she was willing to believe it. She wanted to go up a say hi to Isdra, but Halcyon might want her to stay down here and keep an eye on Alair. Might as well ask. "Want me to stay here with Alair, or can I come back up with you to say hi to Isdra?"
Alarai tried to hide her relief as Cordain put her fears on that certain topic to rest. She did, however, raise an eyebrow at his last comment. "May I ask why?" They were both soon distracted by Isdra showing up. She felt herself relaxing a tad at knowing she was safe. "Hullo Isdra. Glad to see you here. Papina was worried when neither you nor Reign showed up earlier. She'll be glad to know you're here." She paused before adding, "Did you happen to see Reign on your way here?" If she did, then that meant that both she and Papina could quit worrying about those two.

Cordain tilted his head to Alarai, "I don't know why Reign isn't here...She was definitely an interesting scroll child. As to your question Alarai, I was...quite the ladies man when I was younger...granted when I was younger a lady wore a skirt all the time and were delicate flowers. I think I prefer more modern women, such as yourself."
Halcyon glances to Papina then to the elevator door, "I'm sure my father will direct Isdra down here." he then holds up the watch he's wearing which shows Isdra and her kids on one of the security cameras, "Hot-linked into our security camera system."

Tobi glanced behind him in hope to catch a glance at Alair, but the boy had disappeared. His smile grew wider and he pointed ahead to the doors, "Lets go. You never know what we might find." He winked as he grabbed Luna's hand and headed off towards the doors.
He pushed the doors open and waited for Luna to enter. "Ladies first." His mum had drilled that into him since as long as he could remember... Anyway, he'd most probably do anything for Luna. She was his first - And so far - Only friend. Plus he felt all funny and brave when she was around.

Alair had nodded and moved off to prowl carefully around the cars and motorcycles. A wide grin had fixed its self onto his face at the sight of so many shiney cars. If only he could ride in them! A drip down the side of his face stood as a reminder of exactly why not. He'd ruin the inside of the cars...
Glancing back at Halycon, Alair had a sudden thought. Quickly he headed back towards his hero, sure that he would have the answer.
"Halycon! Halycon!" He burst out excitedly, oblivious to the thought that he might be pulling the older boy away from something important. "You know lotsa stuff so you should know what it means if my Papa is out all night and pale and I think he's sick 'cause he's never awake in the morning and he says he's not sick but I think he is!"

Halcyon blinks at Alair and rubs the back of his head, "What kind of job dos your father have? Some people work at night instead of the day...I tend to work all hours as does my dad." Although it sounds like your dad may just be a drunk and we need to find you a proper father he finished in his head. He wasn't gonna tell Alair that, it'd be mean.
