Siri nodded her head politely in gratitude when Jicho complimented her name. She still wasnt sure how to go about this whole royalty thing, and figured that if he wasnt enraged by not being treated correctly by now, the best thing would be to pretend he wasnt royalty at all. Which worked for her, at least.
"I was born north of here, near the pridelands. I wander most of the time though, and from where I was before this, it is quite a few days of walking." She figured that Jicho hadnt traveled much, and seemed pretty intrigued.
She could feel herself relaxing the more she talked to him. Deciding she'd had enough standing for now, she sat, making sure at least her ears were alert. It wouldnt do any good to get too relaxed.

"Oh woooow, the Pridelands?! I've heard so much about that place, it sounds like a small haven." His tail flopped behind him, his mind drawn back into thought as he tried to remember the bits and peices he had been able to learn through his whole life. He didn't know much about the outside world, but everyone knew a little something about the Pridelands.
His ear flopped as his head cocked to the side, thinking about days and days of walking. He hadn't been that far away from home, not yet. Mainly because he didn't want to worry his parents, but also because he was certain that he would get lose, out in the big world. "Wow, I couldn't imagine walking for days. Doesn't it get tiring? Lonely?"

Siri had heard about the pridelands her entire life, so she knew how Jicho felt. "Its supposed to be nice, but I would call it anything but small." She had heard how many members belonged to the pride, and it was a little mind boggling.
She thought for a few minutes about his questions. "Yes... its true. It does get a little of both." She smiled. "But you meet many different people, and you see many different things. Like the sea for example!" That was one of Siri's fondest memories, when her drifting had brought her to the sea. "Sometimes it would be nice to have a home to stay at though."

Jicho was fascinated to hear something about how lare the Pridelands were. Anything that was even twice the size of his pride boggled his mind, so there was no way that he could imagine just how many members there were in the Pridelands. It was enough that he decided to pass on that subject for now. There was something else that she mentioned that confused him, and that confusion would quickly turn into curiosity.
"The sea? What's that?" He had never heard about this 'sea', nor had he ever learned stories about anything special about water except for their own special pool in the pride.
He dared to take another step forward towards Siri, smiling almost like a cub, hoping that she'd tell him. She seemed to know much about the outside world, it was comforting to be able to talk with someone about everything else in the world without being talked down to like he normally was. It wasn't his fault that his pride could be called sheltered, but that was just how they lived.

Siri was fine with the closeness, seeing as she had already decided that Jicho wasnt much of a threat to her. She smiled warmly at him... it was like talking to a cub almost. Especially with the slightly goofy curious smile he was giving her. He wasnt like any grown lion she had ever met.
"The sea... well I guess the best way to describe it is a lake. Except the lake is so large, that when you look out at it, you cant see the land on the other side. Its filled with water, but the water is salty." It was a rather amazing thing to see, and even more amazing to swim in. Then again, she had always liked swimming, so maybe other lions had a different sentiment.

Jicho's eyes widened for a short moment, just trying to imagine something so large. "So, is it like water for as far as the eye can see?" he asked, fascinated. He wasn't sure if he'd like this salty water, it didn't sound tastey, but the idea of something just that large out there, that wasn't mountains, was exciting.
"That really must have been amazing," he nodded, letting his mind play with the idea for just a bit longer. "It reminds me of home, where we are protected by the walls of the earth. You can still see the sky, but it's hard to see just at the top of those walls. It keeps us safe from any sort of outside attack, though I don't remember anyone ever talking about any sort of attack." He pondered over this for a moment, the sea stuffed into the back of his mind for now.

She nodded. "And farther." The sea ended the world, or so it seemed anyways.
She thought about his next statement for a little while before talking. "Sometimes, I think its the feeling of having protection- whether you need it or not- that makes the difference." For Siri, feeling safe was a rather rare commodity, so she could understand the sentiment. It was tiresome to continually keep an ear out for danger.

"I have to agree. While I enjoy being out here, it sometimes feel like I need to watch my back just a bit more...but another reason might be because I know everyone in the pride, so I trust everyone." He wouldn't mention his twin sister.
"I have to admit, it's really nice to talk to someone like this, Siri. So...casually. Sometimes I get the feeling that others look down on me because I'm considered sheltered but...I love who I am, so it shouldn't matter too much right?" He peeked over at her, a bit shlyl, but with a smile on his face.

"You should watch your back more out here." Siri knew first hand that there were a lot of crazy animals wandering the savannah, and not all of them where nice.
"It shouldnt matter at all. My father used to tell me that no one could decide your worth except for yourself." She smiled warmly at him. "And besides... your a prince!" She couldnt help but giggle a little bit at that. Not that she'd ever met any before him... but she didnt think it would be commonplace to look down on royalty.
They were royal, after all.

Jicho's ear's flicked forward with her first comment, nodding to acknowledge that he should definately be more careful out here. Perhaps it was just because he had ony come across more mellow strangers, but that was true; you never know just who you might meet out here. Or what they were capable of.
Jicho laughed, a bit embarassed. "I guess so," he said shyly. "I just...don't really feel different from anyone else. I just have to think more about others than myself, especially once...once my father passes away. It'll be so weird, when that day happens."

"I can only imagine that it would be." In truth, Siri had no idea what this lion was feeling about the subject. She supposed that it would be rather weird waiting for your own father to die only to take his throne from him. Actually, the more she thought about it, the weirder it sounded.
She gave Jicho an encouraging smile. She hoped that when the time came to take the throne, he would do a good job. She flicked her ears back and forth lightly, and looked up at the sky. The sun had already passed its midmark in the day.

Jicho himself was looking up at the sky, noticing just what time it was. While it wasn't evening, he still felt that he needed to return home. It seemed that the older you got, the more responsibility was placed on your shoulders.
He shifted back her way, offering a slight bow. "I'm sorry, but I should probably return home. The elders do not like me being out for too long, and though I am on a task of sorts, I should do my best to not anger them too much. I...I do hope to see you again, though, Siri."

Siri did her short clipped bow in again in response to his. "I hope so as well, Jicho." She thought about it for a little while, realizing that it wouldnt be a bad thing to stick around the area- for a while at least.
She smiled at him. "I think that I will be in this area for a while, so perhaps we might meet up again."

Jicho smiled. "I hope so too, Siri. You're really nice. It's...nice to know that."
He offered another small bow before turning his way back home. He had a bit of things to do, more to learn, and he did want to see his family, too.
He dared a quick peek backwards as he was leaving, his ghostly-silver eyes scanning the area before he slipped back home, a piece of him hoping that no one was watching where he was going. There were no guards anymore watching the entrance to home, and actually there hadn't been for a while. But since he had been going out a bit more, he did his best to keep hidden, so no harm would come to his home, his pride.
