"Time is always ticking, my dear. Who knows when travesties will strike." Ariston shrugged once again, before bringing his purple eye's on the mares. She looked so dazed and uncomfortable, and he could never tell what she was thinking. Was she even thinking? That was a mystery Ariston could never uncover. It must have been hard for Heartless... Ariston wanted to feel bad for the mare, but she probably wouldn't like that if he admitted to such.
"Well anyway, I really am at a loss for words, you know. Usually you have questions about the outside around us, but today you seem content. Are you feeling relaxed, perhaps?" It was unlikely, but he felt like asking her such anyways. Sometimes others could surprise themselves!

The mare seemed to consider it but just shrugged once more. "True, I guess." Not much went on in Heartless's thoughts; she didn't want to think. Thinking just brought on questions about her own existence and those were painful thoughts. And even though she had numbed herself out to pain, she wasn't willing to test herself and see how far she could go.
"I do not have many questions about the outside right now. When I'm not with others, I tend to just blank myself out. That could probably explain why I asked you so much awhile back as I did spend a bit of time with you." She paused and wondered if she was feeling relaxed or not. "I'm not sure if I'm relaxed or not. Does it seem like I am?"

Ariston raised a brow while looking at the mare. "You seem relaxed, so I guess it is safe to say you are. That's not a bad thing you know! That just means you are comfortable.. and content." he nodded, as if teaching her something again. "Relaxation is one of my favorite feelings because you feel like nothing is bothering you." Ariston didn't get nearly as much relaxation as he wanted, but he was thankful when he actually did.
"If you have no questions, then I suppose that means you are getting better at taking everything in." Hmm.. that would be true, wouldn't it? Ariston tried to ponder the thought some more, before chuckling to himself. "Ah well, not something we need to worry about anyways! Though, a thought struck me the other day: What do you do when it snows and is completely white outside? I know you like shadows better then white, so how do you hide in the snow?" It was a random thought of his, and while he personally loved the snow, he wondered what the mare did in terrible conditions.

Heartless still wasn't sure about what he was talking about but it would sink in eventually. "Fascinating." She was rather content right now and it wasn't like she had an unpleasant feeling inside of her at the moment. So she guessed that she probably was relaxed. "I guess I am relaxed now..." Her voice came out as a whisper for some reason that she wasn't aware of.
"That's an interesting way of looking at it. I wouldn't have thought of it that way but I guess we've been talking for awhile. The questions had to stop somehow." She nodded about not worrying about it because that was just silly... to worry about things. "When it snows..." Heartless's eyes became distant and she paused but she quickly came out of the trance to answer his question, "I'm not sure what I do. Deep in the forest, as long as I stay underneath the trees, I don't get bothered by the snow much. And the snow isn't so bad except for the fact that it's so white. I'm alright as long as there are shadows to hide in."

Ariston pushed his hoof forward as some snow fell slide under his foot, and he listened to Heartless and found it hilarious that she still managed to find shadows in snow! "Hehe, you really are the expert at shadows. I know if I ever need to hide I should come find you for advice." Ariston let out a playful smile, before turning away from the snow lump by his hoof.
"Snow is very white, so I of course I love it. It helps me shine more, and radiates many compared to the nasty brown ground. Some days it is a little too cold for my tastes, but I handle it to the best of my physicality." Ariston didn't mind the cold too badly, but he just hated how his body reacted to the frosty atmosphere. "Well, so far I can say that I am glad to see you are doing so well, and I am thankful I can report the good news, since just so you know, many were wondering." he gave the mare a happy smile, and nodded his head eagerly. "Many care about how you were doing, so they wanted to know everything." Heartless had children and a family, so of course they all cared about her health!

Again, Heartless was never used to compliments so she never knew how to react when she did receive one. "Might as well be good at something." Heartless attempted to return a smile but her expression was more like a grimace. Maybe someday she would actually learn what it was like to be a real being.
"Of course. But it's not like you need anything to accentuate your beauty though Ariston." Heartless raised a brow slightly at his last comment. "What? My children actually remember me and don't detest me? I wasn't exactly the greatest mother you know. I can understand it if they hated me but that wasn't exactly what I was expecting to hear." She was genuinely surprised by his comment because she thought the outside world, whether it be her family or anybody else, was oblivious to her existence...
Everyday with her children or Ariston seemed to surprise her. Maybe a life with others wasn't as bad as she made it out to be...
