She hesitated, hoping not to offend him, but lifted her eyes to look at him bravely. "You -- your fangs," she said. "I've never seen another with them before... even another unicorn..." Arcadia had heard of kalona and skinwalkers before, but having not seen one, she didn't know what they looked like -- but she did know that sometimes they had foals with other kinds of Soquili. "Are you a pure unicorn?" she asked, but immediately winced, realizing how rude that likely sounded. "I mean -- I don't mean to offend! I just... well, I'm curious."

Well.. Damn..A question like that deserved an answer..But the truth behind it, was that he wasn't all unicorn.. He had Kalona blood in his family, and thats why he had left the unicorn lands. They had not approved of his father..
Its okay.. He didnt either. He didnt inherit anything but the fangs, so he was more of a donor than anything.. Sure, Spike got the want to kill small things sometimes too..But he never usually followed on it.
"No offense taken.. But no love. Im not. I have Kalona blood in my veins, just as much as Unicorn."
His father had been half-Kalona,and his mother a Unicorn.. Kalona had run through his line.

Arcadia's eyes were wide as Spike explained to her his lineage, but she did not look afraid, no -- perhaps slightly nervous, but not afraid. The mare believed that she was a full blooded unicorn -- she had the tail, after all, along with cloven hooves and, of course, the proud horn on her forehead... why would she have reason to believe otherwise?
"Wow," she breathed, seeming almost impressed. "I've never met a kalona before, or even someone who is part kalona. I've been told to stay away from them, but... you seem nice to me," she beamed at him with a friendly smile. "Um, do you think we can be friends?" Arcadia looked at him shyly, peering at the stallion through strands of her fiery, dark curly mane. "I need to get going home soon... it's starting to get dark. But I'd like to meet you again!"
