Renekai shook her head in frustration. Not enough-- again, Bell. We have to hold him long enough to hit him!"
Bell's eyes flashed. She knew that she was fighting a losing battle, but she wanted to hurt that Dewgong! She wanted to hurt him very badly. Still, if he keeps breaking out of the ice, she wouldn't be able to hurt him enough to satisfy her hatred. Again... And again, until one of them fell. Bell released another Ice Beam.

Luna grinned a bit at Rene's frustration. "Too scared to go head to head Rene?" She taunted the other trainer. Her grin grew wider as she directed her attention to her pokemon once more. "Albireo! Let's go at'em! Headbutt!" She ordered, initiating another attack. Screw status conditions, she would win this with direct physical confrontation!
Albireo let out another bark, the ice that clung to his stomache cracked and shattered. He wasted no time rushing towards the ice beam with his horn poised infront of him. The thrill of battling overtook the dewgong, causing him to narrow his eyes in determination. Attack! Attack! Attack! He used his horn to ward of the ice beam, piercing through it and launching himself at the bird.

Renekai grimaced as she saw her Delibird knocked away by the Dewgong's horn. "C'mon, Bell... Pull through this..." Renekai muttered through clenched teeth.
"Deli..." Bell winced as she picked herself up. That had really hurt. Why was her wing wet? Oh... That blasted horn had scratched her wing. She was bleeding. Bell stared stupidly at her wounded limb, which was hanging limply at her side. A few drops of blood trickled onto the stadium floor.
Renekai noticed her Delibird's red-dyed feathers and quickly tried to determin how serious the wound was. From her unfortunate distance, it seemed to Renekai that no real damage was done. It'd heal up fine in a few weeks. "It's not serious! Snap out of it, Bell!" Renekai yelled at her Pokémon because she knew that Bell was just in shock. It was the first time that Bell had bled in a battle like this. But it was just a scratch!
Bell's eyes suddenly glinted redly, even darker than her bloodied wing. That Dewgong would pay. Oh, yes, he would pay for marring her beautiful wing. Bell knew that she had almost no chance of winning this battle, but she would teach that Dewgong the meaning of pain. Without waiting for Renekai's orders, Bell dashed off towards the offending Dewgong. "Albireo," Bell snarled as she stopped just in front of him. "I won't beat you. I can't. But I will show you what it means to hurt." In her rage, Bell managed to summon up an incredible speed and all but disappeared from view. An instant later, she was above Albireo and falling fast. If only she could hit, Bell knew that this would be a Mega Kick to remember.
Back at her corner, Renekai banged her fists on the wall in frustration. Ow. That hurt. Why did they put cement there? "Bell!" Renekai scolded, way too late. "You'll never win with that temper! If you only froze him long enough..."

"That's better!" Luna said happily, seeing the delibird launch at her dewgong with a killing aura. She loved it when she saw determination, it made her even more determined. "Albireo! Aqua tail!" She ordered.
Albireo flopped down and raised his tail in defense, nearly breaking it because of the force that Bell came down with. He gritted his teeth. Must. Hit. BALL! Albireo concentrated all his brute strength onto his tail.
"Let's knock that Delibird back into the sky Albireo!" Luna shouted encouragingly, causing Albireo to push harder. The trainer smiled. She loved playing baseball and tennis with her pokemon, it could come in handy!

Bell was knocked skyward, but she managed to level out into flight. Other than that severe pain, it was quite a nice boost. Bell immediately fell back at the Dewgong in an Aerial Ace, hoping to catch him off guard.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch Renekai's corner, Renekai was getting a bit ticked at her Pokémon. "Why am I here, then, to spectate?" Renekai muttered to herself. Bell needed to be taught a thing or two... More training would be needed to tame this feisty Delibird.

In Luna's corner, the trainer was quite concentrated on the battle. She had to give her pokemon as much support as she could offer! She would definately do her part in their partnership. "Natural gift!" The trainer said, reacting on impulse. The battle was sure speeding up now!
Albireo quickly focused on his berry again, drooping down low to delay Bell's attack as much as possible. Not only did it buy him more time to charge his attack, it lowered the damage caused by Bell's attack. As Bell created a small cut on Albireo's back, the dewgong immediately surrounded himself and the area around him with electricity, the berry tied to his neck glowing brightly.
Luna smirked. She loved the power of natural gift. Not only did it make her satisfied that the berries had come completely from her team, grown by Nine and handpicked by her pokemon, it also made a pretty good surprise attack.

Bell certainly was surprised. She gave a squawk and waddled away quickly on instinct. Bell turned to glare at Albireo after she was a ways away, her feathers tucked tightly to her sides, although a few feathers jutted out at odd angled. Some were slightly singed.
"That's one way to calm her down..." Renekai said quietly. She really did feel sorry for Bell, but this was just one more thing to train to look out for. "Bell!" she called out. "Please, think! If you can immobilize him for long enough..."
Bell clicked her beak in irritation. No. No more of that. It was too late; Bell felt herself desperately wanting to sleep. Every last bit of energy must be used to hurt Abireo in any way possible. Bell tried to find an opening, a weak spot, anything to get in and hurt the Dewgong. Then Bell spotted the horn. Cracked and chipped as it already was, hitting it could cause immense pain, if only she could hit it hard enough... But that would make her open to a Horn Attack... Bell didn't care. Better to fight reckless and get at least partial revenge than to sit quietly and be beaten! "DEEEEELLL!!!" Bell screeched, then charged at Albireo with every bit of her remaining strength, preparing to give him a Mega Kick on his horn.
Renekai shook her head. "I guess that she doesn't think that freezing will work... Maybe I have to rethink some of my battle tactics..." Renekai sat back to watch the progress of the battle.

Luna smirked. Bell was going for Albireo's weakness now? Well, it was a good move actually, but the pokemon may have underestimated the fact that the horn had become VERY jagged and pointy. It may have hurt even more than a regular horn when used. Not to mention the fact that Albireo always used harden on his horn to increase its strength.
"Alright Albireo, you know what to do!" Luna said with confidence. The two had practiced long and hard to cover Albireo's horn weakness, the trainer had no doubt that they could fend off Bell's attack.
Albireo let Bell kick a side of his horn, using all of his strength to stand his ground against the kick. After a second of the initial inpact, Albireo started to use a horndrill attack, his horn spinning rapidly. The spinning allowed him to slip the foot off his horn, most likely leaving Delibird in midair. He wasted no time ducking down once again and coming up, right below Deli's behind with a rapidly spinning, and not to mention super spiky, horn.

Bell managed to save most of her dignity, but she was still knocked high into the air. She landed heavily on her side. After a moment, she struggled to stand. Her vision began to cloud. Darkness was taking her. With a final look of loathing at the hated Albireo, Bell fainted.
Renekai hurried to Bell's side, carefully inspecting her for any serious wounds. None. She just needed a trip to the Center and a good night's rest. Renekai turned and smiled at Luna. "You never cease to amaze me with your techniques," she told her, neatly accepting the defeat. "We'll work harder for a victory next time." Renekai returned her exhausted Delibird to her Pokéball. Renekai gave Luna a wave. "Until next time?" she inquired, smiling.

"I look forward to it!" Luna replied, waving back at the trainer while returning Albireo to his pokeball with her free hand. She looked down at her pokeball, a cheerful Albireo gave her a goofy grin from inside the transparent ball. "Great job!" She whispered. "We're one step closer to our goal now, neh?"
The trainer walked out of the stadium herself, but unlike Rene, walked towards the plains. Stealing Nine's berries was always great fun after a battle!
