HP for both: Reno - 700hp. Nine - 1000hp.
Outcome: Battle won by Luna's Nine.
Reno's first battle was fierce. An extraordinary black Ninetails named Nine was her first opponent, and sheesh, what a hard one. We were lucky to get the Fire field, but since both Pokemon were fire types it didn't do much to our advantage. It got close, but in the end Nine beat out Reno. It was a good battle, though, and definitely a learning experience for the both of us.
