She smiled sweetly at his answer. "Oh I'm sorta new here too, but since I take care of a little one I don't meet many people." Again her face looked thoughtful. "I'll be your company for a while." She said looking at him.
(( Alright XDD I need sleep too! XDD ))

"Ah, how very kind of you," he replied with a grin, quite happy indeed to have the company of such an engaging young lady. "In my experience, though, little ones are a great way to meet gi- people!" He chuckled, in part to cover his mistake. "People tend to rush up to them and say hello, and comment on their cuteness, and whatnot, you see."

Vella blinked and she thought for a moment. "Well usually in this place there are so many little one that some can be over looked." She said thinking. "Also I don't mind not socializing..Sometimes I just enjoy talking to Anton. Even though he can't make intelligent conversation, he's very talktive..." She said this with a smile. "I sound like a mother..." She then looked down out of embarrassment .

Deidrick couldn't help but smile at her last comment. "Well, yes, you rather do..." He nodded to himself, as if to affirm his own statement. "But that's certainly not a bad thing. Mothers are extraordinary people, indeed. At least... From what I've seen of others' mothers." His gaze seemed to turn to a random spot on the back wall, and he idly fingered the material of the chair on which he sat.

Vella blinked and then looked at the wall he was staring at. She titled her head and her hair moved with her head. She then turned back to him. "You seem really interested in the wall." She said with a giggled. "Well your right about motherhood." She said after her teasing.

"Oh, I'm not really looking at the wall," he replied with a small smile. "Just off in my own little world, I'm afraid..." Seeming to finally snap out of it, his smile widened and he tilted his head towards her slightly. "My apologies, Miss Vella. My attention span seems to be a bit lacking today."

"It's alright" She said waving off his comment with her hand. Vella smiled at him." Soo..what were you thinking about?"

Waving a hand in front of his face, he shook his head. "Nothing worth worrying about, my dear. The past is not important anymore, don't you think?" Smiling, he stood and walked slowly over to the nearest window, bending a bit so that his arms rested on the windowsill and he could peer out comfortably. "Lovely day, isn't it?" He said dreamily, staring out into a light rainshower.
(( :'D... Urgh, horribly late reply. xD;; I'm sorry. ))

Vella blinked and moved so she could see out the window as well. "I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or if you really enjoy rainy days." She said as her eyes scanned the clouds. "But those don't looks like storm clouds" She mutter more to herself then to him.

"Oh, I wasn't being sarcastic," he replied with a smile, turning his gaze to her face for a moment before turning back to the window. "When it rains, it's like everything is washed clean. I always feel as if I can see things just a little bit clearer afterwards. It's especially nice in the spring, as if it's washing away the colder months and ushering in the new season." Grinning sheepishly, he scratched at the back of his head. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling."

" I hate rain in the spring... Well not really rain just the wind and thunder and lighting that comes along with it sometimes... it's worse in the summer." She said and looked away from the window. " I like rain in the winter, I don't have to worry then.." Vella looked at her feet as she leaned against the wall.

Turning slightly, he blinked at her. "Rain in the winter? All that results in is horrible, slushy conditions." Wrinkling his nose in distaste, he continued, "I'm not fond of the winter in general. Too cold, and too dreary. It's almost enough to make me depressed." His frown deepened at this; He was not the sort that liked to be depressed. He prided himself on trying to remain optimistic, no matter the situation.

"Oh..." she blinked and shrugged. "I just enjoy not having to worry...Though the darken clouds seem to depress those around me..." she said and frowned. "...I have more spring colors then winter...on right now.." she gestured to her dress and hair. Vella looked him up and down. "You have more darker colors..."

"A lot of people get depressed in the winter," Deidrick agreed, nodding to himself. "It's this sort of cyclic thing, has to do with the lesser amount of light and such." He coughed, trying to pull himself away from such elevated conversation, much as he enjoyed it. It tended to make others uncomfortable for some reason, in his experience. "Ah, I suppose I do..." He flushed a little at her scrutiny, though she was only eying his clothing.

Ignoring his slight flushed state she reached up and grabbed a little bit of his hair. "Especially your hair. It's a nice shade of purple." She said nodding her head happily.
