I don't remember what model, but I've used a 6x9 Wacom tablet and it sucked. Not that it didn't work, just that it wasn't large enough for me to draw on. When I want to draw something, I want to, you know, draw it all in one place, like an actual pencil. None of this taking it off the tablet and repositioning s**t. I got my hands on a 12x16 (or something. "Big", regardless) intous3, which I think is around $300, and it was instance sex. Sure it's bigger, but bigger is better anyway. This is my opinion, as I could make it porportional to my computer screen, so any movement on the tablet was exact location on the monitor, so I didn't have to worry about anything. x3 This tablet was borrowed though. My friend eventually needed it back for his own work. I am (hopefully) getting a tablet for christmas. It would either be a Genius 6x10 or an Adesso 10x6. Professionals have a very skewed view of things. Maybe Wacoms work in the way that macs just work, but that's because Pros have a bunch of money to throw at problems rather than fix it themselves. Little is wrong with off-brand stuff if you take the whole 5 minutes to figure out what the problem is. And to me, the times it MIGHT break on you, and the time it will take me to fix it, if it even needs to be fixed... Does not equal the price of a wacom. $200 for something that's not even the size of a piece of paper is a stupid idea to me. But I guess we'll see how fair my opinion continues once I actually use whatever my new tablet's gonna be.

I know a lot of people who don't need a big screen and are fine with a 4x6, but it's obviously a matter of opinion.

Personally, I would love a 12x16, so I could draw without having to move around. Either that or a tablet PC.
Either that or any tablet, since I'm tired of sharing one.
And Q, I think your pricing may be off a little. XD
I found an Intuos3 9x12 USB Tablet w/Pen & Mouse, and its 459$.
12x12 was 579$ and 12x19 was 779$ @w@

••♥♥••omg guiz. The wacom bamboo is totally the way to go. No batteries necessary, comes with stylus, mouse, corel painter, adobe essentials, and some other program... Toastie likes her medium one, the small is a little too cramped for her liking but you don't really need anything better because you can scroll and zoom with steve.... ninja which is what Toastie named the glowy blue bit in the center... ninja Wallflower...

The smaller Intuos models are mostly for travel purposes, in their office/studio they almost exclusively have a 9x12 or larger. *shrug*

I got the tablet, well I will on Christmas. My mom called me and asked what color other than black because they didn't have black. I was a little disappointed but now I'm not. I get the silver one!
My mom left the order form on her desk. I'm so excited I want it so bad!!!! I can't wait. xDD
Plus I really want to try that corel painter! When I saw the demo it looked awesome!
Oh ya! Question for Toastie since she has one! What's with that collapsible pen holder? It made no sense when I read about it.

Either way you just made my point more clear that it's damn expensive. Dukes: Okay. What's your point?
