Oh gak.... that'll ruin literacy forever, people will roll dice instead of playing realistically. You will dodge things just because the dice say you can, even if there's no real way to move out of the way in time without getting in something else's way! Things wil hit you even if you should have been able to get out of the way, because the dice say you didn't se it coming, even if you were facing them!! @_@ I despise online dice sweatdrop it will just make it more D and D like that is how I started roleplaying so i dont think it will bug me much sweatdrop

Kyrana: Well, I'm not terribly well versed in dice myself, but I don't think that's QUITE how it works. After all, really crazy things happen sometimes right? So if someone rolls 4 10-sided dice and gets a perfect 40, who's to say that some crazy bird doesn't fly right in the path of the bullet that would have surely hit them otherwise?
I think dice should AID roleplaying, not REPLACE it. If you roll dice, I think it would be best to use that as a guideline, make up a reason why it happened, not just 'ogm I got a 20 I dodged magically'. I think it would add a bit of chance/fun to an otherwise hard-to-roleplay battle, and help people decide the outcome of an otherwise evenly-matched play. 3nodding

There's good ones out and if you want it to be as detailed as possible they've got like supplements for it and it modifies the dice you roll and such. And if its going to be impossible anyway, then the GameMaster can just say its impossible and no roll will be done. 3nodding And I'm not sure if I'll be able to make an rp, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist... if I don't make something really good, I won't post it. XD

Worry not, Penden. It's just the normal Homework Theology latent in everyone. To sum it up in the words of Calvin and Hobbes:

I've got an idea for one that leans heavily on Shadowrun, William Gibson novels, Blade Runner and the like that I'll write up. Expect it in a day or two.

I'm working on it as we speak. I had to do some research, but it'll be done by Friday.
Edit: Scratch that, I'm pretty much done aside from the Plot thing stating what they'd immediately run into. I can make that up on the fly, I suppose, I've been complemented on my sudden plot twists before. So... how do I submit officially? Post it in the Guild and mark it as for the contest? Don't hit me with a smiting stick for asking a stupid question, dammit, I'm tired and lazy at 2:30 am! You're lucky you can READ this! @_@
