Baffled by his words, she never had a family.. therefore she couldn't enjoy the supposed joys of a family or even if they were necessary or not. For most of her life, she was always is pursuit of something rather different. "I don't know either." She then admitted, a bit lamely. as she walked alongside him "So I won't be much help in that department I suppose." If anything, a family would most likely remain a foreign concept to her for awhile to come.

Leaping over the bundle of small rocks, She awaited for Arun to catch up, "Terrible conversations huh? Nothing less than what I would expect from you, Arun." She said, laughing while she teased him. "Stomped off? if you had stomped off, we wouldnt be HAVING this discussion." The comment set off a chuckle, coming to the agreement that Arun was indeed predictable.

Once he had caught up, she resumed an average pack to admire her surroundings. in the sunlight, everything appeared to be so.. bright. But not in a negative way~ "I suppose, it's good to know yourself well." An amused glint appeared within her gray eyes, carefully choosing her words.

And Aun had guessed well. She didn't have a temper like that, but if she had, she wouldn't have said all the things she did either! "I think it's good to express your emotions openly. If you aren't afraid to, than go straight ahead. No one should think you lesser for it.."

"Well what about you, then?" he then said, almost too bluntly. "I feel as if I am blabbering away, and yet you are still mysterious to me." The only reason he bothered her with these questions was because he was genuinely interested in learning things about her. "I think you know quite a lot about me.. but I feel as if I don't know enough about you."

Arun then paused slightly, before catching his words. "Not that I am saying you must talk about anything person, to that matter.. I just want to emphasize that I am.. happy to listen, or want to listen." Arun quieted himself then, since he felt like a broken record or something. "Ah well, I already explained that I am not the expert in the talking department.."

The usdia stallion was quiet then for a minute or so, before he decided to shift his words a bit for a more natural sounding conversation. He didn't want the female to be uncomfortable in any way, so he thought hard about what he wanted to bring up.

"Are you enjoying the winter season? Or are you one who likes the warmer seasons better?" It was a blatantly causal question, but Arun was proud of himself for picking something so easy and comforting. "Although I enjoy being warm in the summertime, I can't help but enjoy being cold as well." Maybe he just liked the milder seasons better? That was most likely the case.

"Blabbering away? Only if one were to speak nonsense, than I would call it that." Glancing over her shoulder, to smile at the usdia.

"I'm not mysterious but any means.." She replied, fixing her gaze on Arun with assessing eyes. She couldn't fathom why he would want to know more about her. Her entire history was no more average or even less of a normal person.. Yet it was puzzling that he would want to know. "But if you should feel that way, I'm.. glad to hear that." Her gray eyes softened a little as she gave him a slight nuzzle to show her appreciation.

Arun then quieted for a moment, eliciting a curious glance from Kyubi. "I do believe that you are being too quiet for your usual self, Arun?" She said, arching a brow in concern for the other stallion. But she need not have worried in the first place, bcause Arun was only deep in thought.

"The.. seasons?" Her words slows and hesitant because of the sudden question. What did this have o do with anyt- OH. "Actually.. I suppose I would prefer the spring season.. It's less of a hassle than in the winter time." She considered it to be troubling, because one could not move about easily in the winter time. But in truth, the seasons really didn't matter to her since she couldn't prevent a season if she tried to. What was the use?

"In answer to your earlier question.. I have had an ordinary lifestyle. it's true that I have not a family like you.." She shook her head in a reluctant manner, "But it's also nothing to pity. I don't think that having a family is necessary to live in comfort, that is."

"Well, then I am glad I am speaking no such nonsense." he then replied, with a happy grin. Kyubi had a fun sense of humor, and Arun was glad to enjoy that.

"Ah yes well, I try to be as talkative as I can, but you'll have to forgive me, this whole conversing thing is new to me." As pathetic as it sounded, he was sort of glad to be honest with the mare, since he was not suave in any way, shape, or form. Her nuzzle to him left the stallion completely dazed, and he only continued to flush embarrassedly, before sneaky a smile in at the end.

At the mare's talk of the seasons, Arun only grinned while listening, since he was happy to learn something else about her. "It is less of a hassle, but it is also prettier in my opinion. Not that I am someone who dwells in pretty.." he grunted a bit, wondering if his masculinity would be questioned. "I just like seeing the green return.. if you know what I meant." Hopefully she did!

"Friends can be just as comforting." he then added, while nodding to the mare. "Hell, I'd be your friend. I don't have any friends, but it would be nice to have someone around that I could trust and be loyal too." It sounded so dinky when he talked like that, but he did hope it would cheer the mare up! The family talk was probably saddening her...

With a shrug to the other usdia, "You get used to it, more or less." She replied in a knowing and slightly encouraging tone. What she thought had never interpreted out too nicely in words, but she meant to say that back than, she was no better at conversation than he was. And neither was her experiences. Fortunately she had learned and adapted.. There was no doubt in her mind that Arun could do it too if he truly wanted to do so. Silence ensued for a little while longer until a few moments had passed. Shooting a concerned glance at the other usdia, She flicked her tail about finding his behavior a little unusual.

Continuing to walk at a steady pace, She was interested in hearing more about his opinions. His attitude may have been similar to hers, but their opinions and experiences were vastly different. "Even if the topic is somewhat puzzling." To like a season or not made no difference to her.. She couldn't see how it would help her in any way or the such.. But it was entirely possible.

"Pretty?" She said, repeating after him. She flashed him a sly grin, as she realized his un-intentional words.. or to be accurate, meaning. "Why," Her tone innocent, "I never knew you were like that Arun." Feigning surprise, as she laughed and teased him.

But his confession of friendship surprised her, that she nearly forgot what she was doing. ".. friends?" Her voice a small murmur. Recovering from her surprise, she gave him a small yet warm and grateful smile. She couldn't express her thoughts or feelings in words, but she wanted to let him know that his words meant a lot to her. Hardly, she trusted anyone with such false words but she knew that Arun was being sincere. "I'm sure in time, you will have many friends.. And I'll be honored to be one of them."

"Like what?!" Arun then said, while glancing back at the female. "I thought mares enjoyed stallions with compassion and crap anyways." He could only laugh at himself, knowing that he was TOTALLY lying. "But seriously though, I think it is sorta pretty. I think a lot of things are pretty, like windy days and stuff.. I can't really explain it, but, some things just look nice." Rather then being ashamed, Arun was pretty confident in his opinion and speech. He could only smile at the mare, since he had pretty much ruined his buffness at this point.

He WAS a bit surprised to hear her reaction to his offered friendship, and he hid a smile while bringing his eyes back out in front of them. "Well damn, I am lucky. Your really the only other I would want to talk to, so thanks for being a pal. You must be desperate." He was obviously joking with his words, and he chuckled while smiling back at Kyubi. At least she had a sense of humor, he would be in trouble if she didn't!

"You know.. we've been walking.. but where are we going? Not that I am complaining, this is fun! I just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to go somewhere in specific." Arun then glanced at the landscape around them, before realizing they were probably going in a circular trail. "Am I going crazy? Or have I seen these trees before?!"

Inside, she felt like bursting out into laughter at Arun's words. How they both knew, how incredibly stupid that the stereotypical comment was. of all people, it was odd to see it come out of Arun's mouth~ "Until we mares get tired of that stuff ourselves." She teased, giving him a chuckle. "But I suppose I can see where you're getting at Arun.. Than again, I'm new to these concepts." Somewhere in her mnd.. she could see where Arun was getting at. Once in a rare while, she would find something.. 'pretty' like he said.. But like she said, it was rare.

During her younger years.. she was taught that compassion was for the weak. The strong had no need of something like that.. Because it allowed room for weakness which a fighter didn't need. And for such a long time before.. She had stood by these rules without a doubt in her mind to what she was doing. But these days, she found herself pondering such morales. She questioned and now doubted such ideas.. Perhaps even to go so far as to call some of these ideas cruel.

"Desperate times calls for drastic measures, huh?" Her words were meant to tease good-naturedly and she didn't doubt that Arun would take it any other way. He was not one to to be easily offended~ But the subject was quickly forgotten as another subject popped up.

"Um. Where are we going?" She said, in slight confusion. If he didn't know where they were going.. Than -where- were they going? "Well. To be honest.. I was actually following you." Her voice was a little sheepish, as she admitted that little detail. "I just.. assumed you knew this area?"

At least Arun was STILL entertaining the female, since he found that action as impossible most of the time. Apparently Kyubi liked talking to him, since she hadn't brushed him off yet! Arun wasn't quite sure how he thought about that, since it was still completely surprising. And Kyubi was even laughing, too! "Well I am just glad I am entertaining you." he then said, with a usual playful sarcasm. He couldn't deny that he was having fun, so he just played along himself.

"I suppose you are right." he then added, before shifting his attention at her next words. "Following me? Well that's surprising!" he then said, with a complete chuckle. "You don't seem like the type who would follow." And Arun liked that about the female. "But if you'd like to follow me, I can oblige! Though at the moment, I am completely useless, since I have no idea where we are going... SO!" he then said, with a brush back of his mane. "I suppose I should figure something out!"

Arun didn't mind acting like a goof ball, since apparently that came naturally to him. If it meant keeping good company, he also would work hard to keep himself silly for the mare.

"I know I have been in this area before.." he then said, while eying everything in front of him. "But I am too distracted at the moment to care where we go!" A smile molded on his face, and he nodded at the female with a light bow. As much as his action could have been cheesy, he meant it with a strange kindness he had never used before.

"Surprising? Now why would you say that?" She questioned, with mild curiousity. Was it out of her character to say something like that? She honestly didn't know. But it wasn't too much of a concern to her other than a passing one. Otherwise, she was focused on the path ahead of them.

"Oblige me if you will.. Providing we won't be trapped in here forever at the very least. If we do happen to, I'd know I would like plenty of food." She mused, with a smile upon her face. He was a silly silly stallion. Arun's actions and words portrayed him acting as a silly goofball but there was more to him than met the eye. And she was glad to know that. But his silly antics made her laugh inside, and sometimes, she would burst out with a chuckle or a giggle here and there. No one else had ever made her feel so.. happy before. It was.. actually fun, if that's what the definition of laughing was.

Keeping her gaze on the other usdia, "Are you sure about that, Arun?" She said, lifting an eyebrow to express some of her teasing skepticism. "And here, I thought I heard someone who said that they have no IDEA where they were going a few minutes ago. Or was I mistaken?" She questioned, with an innocent look upon her face. With an inclination of her head, she offered him a impish smile. "Smaart."

She was joking around but it was surprising to see Arun lightly bow to her. Her face flushed with embarrassment as someone never bowed to her before. But why did he do it? She had done nothing deserving of such a thing.

"Since you know, I already told you many do not enjoy my company. So that is why I bring it up to you that I am deeply thankful that you are still hanging out and stuff." Pfft, Kyubi was as silly as him, since she wasn't acknowledging the awesome that enveloped her personality as well. They were both sort of strange, but maybe they didn't give themselves enough credit? Arun wasn't sure, but he knew there was no reason to dwell in any negative thoughts!

"I know, I know, I have failed. But you know, maybe I got us lost on purpose." he then said, with a sly grin. "See because if I get you lost, then you have to stay around here!" Just as his goofy words were coming out, Arun noticed another path that led out of the continuous circle they were walking in. "Ah yes, apparently I am good at jinxing myself, too. Shall we try a different path to get lost on?" That would be fun, wouldn't it? Still, the male was completely surprised by his own words queuing in a new path like that! He wasn't sure if he should be thankful or ashamed!

He let Kyubi onto the new path, and to his surprise it was much more interesting then the first! The trees were shorter, and small creeks and groves continued to lay themselves next to the two Usdias. "Wow, what luck is this? Well I mean, I did this all on purpose, you know." he then said, while shifting his nose up into the air playfully. "I took us to a new path because of my awesome navigating skills." Kyubi could clearly sense the lies on the Usdia's face, but he knew she would most definitely laugh from his ridiculous navigation skills.

"Ah. Is that why we're wandering random paths now?" She questioned, with a suspicious look in her piercing gray eyes.

"I must say, If you reveal such a plan like that, What am I supposed to say? If I were to foil your plans by leaving.." Her sentence was stopped midway as she paused to think about her next words. ".. Than it would be rude. But if I participated in such a plan, I would be involved in a conspiracy against myself! What do you have to say to that?" She accused, in jest.

Despite all of her words, She continued to followed the other usdias towards a new path. She discovered that the new path seem more suited for their kind or smaller soquilis rather than large ones. The trees were indeed shorter, seeming accustomed to their size or a foal's. The water glistened as the sunlight shone upon it, but the pebbles seemed to relay a rainbow of colors.

It was amazing that Arun had found such a place! "All on purpose, huh?" She said, with a laugh and a twinkle in her eye. "Well, Arun.. I must compliment your.. What did you say?" As she pretended to forget the word. "Oh yes. 'Awesome navigating skills' .. Most definitely." She leaned in closer to the stallion, "But to be truthful, it's a beautiful place indeed. Why not have some fun while we're here?"

(I apologize for the long wait <3)

"Yeah yeah, you threaten to leave but now that I showed you this place, I know you won't!" he grinned merrily as he spoke while admiring the landscape while the female did as well. "This place should be proclaimed as an Usdia-haven! But at the same time.. why tell anyone, you know? We can keep it as a secret, too." SINCE, the two of them kinda hated everyone, didn't they?! "If we don't tell anyone, no idiots will come and bother us. So I suppose that should be the plan, shouldn't it?" Arun then laughed to himself while glancing at the female for her own opinion on the subject.

At Kyubi's request, Arun felt more the obligated to oblige. "I am in agreement for any kind of fun, but what do you propose?" he then asked, while staring off into the landscape. He wasn't the expert on 'fun'. While his siblings would go and play in their youth, he was never insistent on enjoying whatever they were doing. He didn't have any experience in what was actually considered as 'fun'.

"I do like how fresh that stream looks." he then admitted, while walking a bit closer to its edge. "I wonder if there are any fish in there.. fish are so odd looking!" Now he was just ranting, but it was sort of silly, wasn't it? It must have been a sign of comfort, since he was glad to be chatting with the female at this point!

"All that confidence should really be put to better use." She remarked, with a grin. "But why keep it a secret? When we hardly talk to anyone anyways?" She questioned, with sarcastic humor to her tone and a teasing smile.

"You forget that I'm no more experienced than you, in these manners." she reminded, with a soft chuckle. "But I think it's all right, if we don't. Your company is nice enough." She said, the last part a soft whisper that no one could hear but herself. She still wasn't used to confessing or admitting such things and she felt that it was.. awkward to. Often, she kept many of her opinions to herself, and relied on no one else. There was few people who she trusted in the world. She trusted Arun.. but it troubled her that she came to trust so soon after only a day.

Staring out into the stream, she followed Arun to the stream. "I'm sure that the fish probably think we're odd-looking giants too." She replied, with a giggle. Arun was certainly odd in his perspective of things.. But it could be said the same for her.

Shadowss quickly swept over the stream, bringing Kyubi to the realization that the day was getting late. Soon, in a few hours, the day would darken into night.. And would part ways with the other usdia. It saddened her slightly to acknowledge that fact. But they still had a couple of hours!
PostPosted: Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:06 pm

Arun instantly felt what the mare was thinking, and he too looked into the water's reflection for a moment, knowing very well that they would have to part soon. But it wasn't as bad as it sounded, right? If they enjoyed each other's company this much, surely they could meet up again? That WAS what normal people did, wasn't it? Arun had no experience it all with the subject, and this was a first time for him. "This may sound a bit weird," he then said, with a hefty swallow, "but I will be able to see you again after this, right? That is, if you want to and stuff."

He would certainly feel crappy if Kyubi said no. But at the same time, he would understand. Even though they had spent the day together, for some friendships took time and practice. Arun was only doing what he knew, and asking seemed like the appropriate method. "Maybe I am weird, but you already knew that!" That's what made him, him.

"I am glad these fish think we are giants.." he then said, while bringing his attention to the hungry swarm of fish. "Its nice to feel like a giant somewhere. I'm not saying that I dislike being small, but I always wondered what it would feel like to be big! And here we are, scaring fish!" Funny how that worked, wasn't it? The place they had fun was there own.. and Arun was curious as to how Kyubi was analyzing the situation. Was this what friendship was like? He was afraid that he liked it!

"As for my confidence.." he then said, with a smile, "I am only doing what I know!" but, it was all for the humor, and for the happy laughter that Kyubi would emit.
