ZZZZZZTTT! Nanook spazzed terribly when the bolt hit. It was so powerful! That was a critical hit! He was going easy on this pokemon becuase of the new trainer but he wasn't going to anymore! Growing he felt the fire brewing within him.
"Fire spin now!" Jenetter ordered as she watched with intese eyes.
Nanook immediately sent out a vortex of fire spinning like a fiery death towards ChuChu. This better hurt... Nanook thought.

The Raichu, temporarily tired from the huge attack, barely escaped getting over cooked and charred to dust. Gritting her teeth as her tail and left hind paw got singed, she whirled around and waited for the command...
She didn't need to wait long. "Quick attack!" Renekai called, hoping to gain a better lead. She may be a newbie trainer, but she hadn't studied those battle plans for nothing!
"Chu!" ChuChu agreed to the attack. She favored her left foot a bit, but nothing would stop her from reaching breakneck speed. "Too fast?" ChuChu taunted as she flashed by the Ninetail's ear. Rounding her final turn, ChuChu made a mad dash from behind Nanook, aiming at his unprotected back.

Jenette was a little worried by the quick attack, ever since Prince had scarred Nanook's eye, he hadn't been able to see as sharply as before. "Com'on Nook! Try and counter with a headbutt!" She shouted
Nanook was bewildered by the quick moving Raichu and waited until he assumed she was close enough. Taking a hit in the side he skidded a little then charged right back at the mouse pokemon. Lowering his head he grunt as he drew closer...

"Chu!" ChuChu was sent flying accross the field.
"Ah! I wasn't expecting that..." Renekai clenched her fists. "Thundershock, ChuChu! Now!"
"Rai," ChuChu agreed as she landed, thankfully, on all fours. Once again she used the static in the air to quickly charge her attack.

The shock collided with the kitsune pokemon and one of his front legs buckled. He was getting tired, Jenette could tell. "Come on Nook! Can you do another Fire Spin?" She begged as she watched the tired pokemon regain his balance.
His hair stood on end after having the shockwave go through him. He panted as he closed his eyes, gathering up the remaining strength he had to burn this pokemon. Suddenly his eyes popped open and the fire came streaming out. "NIIIIIIINE!!!"
The spiraling vortex of fire was blaze towards the Raichu. Would she be able to dodge it in time?

Evidently, she would. ChuChu sprinted out of the way, just barely pulling her tail out of the way of the fire's path in time. ChuChu was left panting after her effort.
"Close one, ChuChu!" Renekai said. "Okay, get in there with a Quick Attack!"
"Chu!" ChuChu called. She gathered her haunches under her, then bolted towards Nanook. The fox was tiring. Would the mouse rise victorious?

Nanook was too tired to keep track of the Raichu so he just held his ground as the pokemon hit him. His legs gave way and he slid a few feet. Crawling slowly back up he huffed and looked hopefully up to Jenette.
Jenette brought her fingers to her lips and gasped as Nanook was drawn back. He looked weak and tired. "COUNTER WITH HEADBUTT!" She shouted in almost a desperate fashion.
Nodding ever so lightly Nanook began a slow trot then gradually built up to a sprint as he came closer to the opponent pokemon he lowered his head and closed his eyes. He hoped he would make contact this time.

ChuChu instinctively ducked, pressing her belly to the floor and even pulling back her ears. As she was already so small, she succeeded in avoiding the worst of the attack.
"IRON TAIL!" Renekai ordered while Nanook was still over ChuChu.
ChuChu gave a kind of cackle as her tail glowed white and hardened. She brought her tail sharply upward, right at Nanook's exposed neck.

This time when Nanook was hit down, it took a long while for him to stand up. He was running out of energy and fast. Sending one more hopeful glance up towards his trainer, Nanook readied himself.
Jenette smiled softly and nodded her head. "NANOOK! FIRE SPIN!" She knew it was the only thing he wanted to do, his favorite and strongest attack. Her eyes lingered over to Renekai then to ChuChu.
Nanook didn't wait a second longer, when the commands were shouted he sent the burst of flame flying forward. It became a column that spiraled over to the raichu, the heat could easily be felt from a 100 yards. This one was gonna hurt...

"GO THROUGH WITH THUNDERPUNCH!" Renekai shouted over the roar of the flames. She knew that ChuChu was expirienced in this kind of attack; Luna always trained her Pokémon to go through even the worst of things.
"Chu..." ChuChu nearly whimpered at the sight of the flames. Her fist crackled and glowed white. This was really going to hurt... ChuChu was sure that she'd be charred black by the end of this. That was a color variation that she didn't care for... ChuChu backed up a little, then the small mouse leaped into the heart of the flames. Hot. Hot! HOT!! ChuChu came out the other side badly burned and sweating. She quickly found Nanook and swung her fist at his jaw. ChuChu could barely see for all the fire.
"Hang in there, ChuChu!" Renekai muttered, chewing a finger nail.

With the last attack Nanook was tired. He just stood their as ChuChu hit him. He fell to his side and was unconcious. "Good Job Nook..." Jenette said softly as she recalled the fainted pokemon to his ball. "Good job Renekai!" She said with a cheerful smile. "I am bound to win next time we battle!!" With that she hurried out of the stadium and too the pokemon center.

Renekai grinned at the tired mouse. "Good one, ChuChu."
ChuChu's sides were heaving with effort. Her mouth was open and her tongue lolling. Not to mention that her fur was burnt black and falling out in places... But ChuChu had won. She gave Renekai a tired little thumbs-up, then promptly fell over.
Renekai jumped down to the fallen Raichu and picked her up. "Here we go," she said cheerfully. "Let's go to the Pokécenter and get you cleaned up."
ChuChu gave a weak nod, then closed her eyes and fell asleep. This was a hard battle.
