Roho heard more than he saw the Zebra moving towards him. Their hooves pounding into the ground made it tremble under his paws. He had no clue the danger that Sentala was putting herself in just to get part of the herd moving in his general direction. Digging his claws into the ground he waited patiently. The first Zebra flew by, then another, and another. Crouching low, he gathered up his strength for a powerful attack, and just as the next zebra was about to reach the mound, Roho lept from his spot.
Claws and teeth bared he grabbed onto the side of the zebra, ripping into it's flesh, but not letting go as it squealed in pain and attempted to dislodge him. Standing on his back paws he moved witht he Zebra until it stumbled giving him a chance to sink his claws near it's shoulder bones and allowing him the shot at sinking his teeth onto it's neck.
Once having a tight grip that was surely not going to be thrown off, Roho bit his teeth into the back of the zebra's neck, and using his full weight, managed to overturn the zebra. Unfortunately for him, the Zebra managed to roll itself over from the force, and flailing hooved came at him.
A graze of a hoof to his chest turned into nothing but a small wound thanks to the protection of his mane and it certainly wasn't enough to deter the lion. He dodged more attacks from the Zebra as it attempted to get onto it's feet. Not wanting their meal to get away, Kimeti latched onto the Zebra's throat, and pulled the unsteady beast back to the ground and latched on hard.

Kamaria watched, lavender eyes open to observe the actions of her two companions. Now that she was alone, simply looking over them, she realized the dangers of their choice. Her stomach had been growling and she was incredibly hungry, but could she really risk having them injured as well? Guilt swelled inside the pale lioness.
As Kamaria continued to watch, fully concentrated, she heard the snap. The noise was rather quiet, but in the silence of the herd, it sounded thousands of times louder. With her ears raising and her body becoming tense, she awaited her friend’s next actions. Their plans would surely need to change and Kamaria would not allow her weakness to keep them from attaining their goal.
It was horrible to simply sit back and watch Senatla weave herself in between the hooves, snapping and trying to cause some sort of order amongst them. When the red lioness darted towards the stallion, Kamaria had to force herself to remain down and silent. She wished so desperately to jump up and aid her friend, but in the chaos, she would likely only cause a larger problem.
When the zebra’s began to fly past both Roho and herself, Kamaria prepared to reveal herself and frighten them towards the male. When a zebra found it’s way before Roho, however, Kamaria found that her part in their plan was unnecessary. The two put up a difficult struggle and amidst it, Kamaria noticed that Roho had been wounded.
Unable to keep herself down, the lioness disregarded the pain in her back legs and sprung to assist in the take down of the zebra. Kamaria lunged, snapping with her jaws and swiping with large claws towards the creature’s underside. The lioness would only stop when the beast lay still on the grasses beneath them. And to her surprise, Kamaria found that instead of hunger, she was simply worried and eager to inspect the wounds of her closest friends.

Senatla was bitten by the stallion, a n** that caused more pain than it did bleeding. She got it back, claws ripping down the stallion's side. He whinnied in pain and with the rest of his herd gone, he ran after it, leaving his blood spilled by the lioness he bit at. Trying to step forward, she nearly fell over but pulled herself forward. She favored her left leg as she came forward.
Her breath was lost, her heavy panting making it impossible to speak. As she got to where they were, she fell over pushing out between pants, "I am sorry." Closing her eyes, she hid in shame of messing up and nearly losing the kill. It also helped her regain her breath. Now, the panting was for overheating and exertion.

Kamaria was taken back at the apology from one of her closest friends. Worry filled her entire body. She had entirely forgotten the rumbling of her stomach or the now dull aching of her back legs. "Senatla!" She seemed to shout, though her voice came out hoarsly, "Don't be sorry!" Kamaria hurried forward to nuzzle her friend and then looked to Roho with a smile. "I am just so glad you're both okay."
Once she looked them both over and found the bruises and cuts, the lioness proceeded to clean her companions. They were a bit over zealous when it came to their meal and they had paid the consequences. In Kamaria's eyes, the Gods had looked down upon them and ensured their safety. She would pray thanks that night. For now, she was simply pleased to be in their company.
"I believe we've done enough for today. Let us rest for now.." Kamaria did not mean to sound forceful, but there was no way she'd allow her companions to continue on.
