Still slightly sullen from Isi's frustration and irritation, Eiry didn't move or jerk or bounce like he would've had he been perky and energetic. He twisted his head towards Zave and explained matter-of-factly, "He took my wing, yes, and hardtwist until SNAP! And it hurt like fire. He could touch me, because he and I are part in part samebodied." As he finished the retelling of the fateful belligerence that led to the break of his wing, Eiry glanced over at his guardian whose frown was growing deeper and deeper. Choosing to glance awkwardly at Tsu instead of Isi, Eiry gave a meek grin.
As soon as he finished glaring at his ward, the concerned guardian turned his full attention to Tsu as he explained the outcome of his raevan's folly and foolishness. Of course, Isi wasn't REALLY angry. It was the anger of concern, which was much different than real anger. The choices given seemed well enough, and the youth hunched his shoulders over himself in thought as he weighed the outcomes in his mind. He didn't like the sound of this experimental drug, but honestly, Isi cared much more for the healing of Eiry and was willing to take the risk. He nodded his head after a moment of deliberation and he gave a shrug to his shoulders, "Well...I suppose if it has a chance of making Eiry heal better, then its worth it. We'll take it. Right, Eirdirsceol?" Isi glanced to his ward and narrowed his eyes, "You'll be taking the herbal rub, whether you like it or not, you turquoise ball of mischief."
The minty frei nodded his head in quick agreement. He knew that it wasn't wise to disagree or rebuke Isi when he was in a grumpy mood.

Sifting through his supplies in other cabinets Tsu produced a large selection of dried herbs, before shifting over to a heavy lock box. Pulling out a jar with a twig and two berries on it, Tsu looked over at Eiry before fixing Isi with a smile. "It looks like I have all the ingredients in order for the salve, so that shouldn't be a problem. It'll just take a little bit to mix in all with the mortar and pestle, but I'm going to go ahead and give you the typical list of side effects to be wary for. Worst case scenario we're looking at loss of appetite and... erm... hallucinations. These berries are actually rumored to be from the Yggdrasil tree itself, and have remarkable properties for healing. Depending on the raevan or person, certain powers are able to be amplified a bit. Hopefully he won't be too much of a handful in those cases..." Tsu chuckled nervously, trailing off. After all... since Eiry seemed to be able to become ghost-like at will, it would be hard to get a handful of pure air.
Zave flinched at the way that Eiry described what happened to his wing when he met Edgar. No one would want that sort of feeling he imagined. "Samebodied...? So he could hurt you even if you were solid? It sounds like you need one of those sup... spear... spear cultists. Y'know, the ones that chase off bad ghosts for you."
"It's spiritualists." Tsu corrected Zave automatically without looking up from the mortar and pestle, making sure that the composure of the rub looked appropriate and adding in slightly more water with a mix. "The word you're looking for is spiritualist."
"Oh... spiritualist then. So how did you learn you could disappear like that?" Zave hadn't met many other frei that could control their powers like that. Maybe Rivener, since Tsu mentioned all the poisons that he managed to bring forth from his wings, and Laz... managing to burn down the entire lab, but Eiry was really the first that used one of their powers before his very eyes. Despite being scared half to death... he had to admit it was a pretty amazing skill.
Finally finishing up mixing the herbs including peyote for a sort of pain killer, Tsu handed the mixture to Isi with a label on it. "I realize the mixture looks... sorta like mud, but don't worry... It should work. It definitely has medicinal properties in it. Definitely come back if you have questions or concerns. If you have complaints... then please write them down on a piece of paper and place in my inbox. My shredd-- I will get to them as soon as possible."

Isi carefully watched as the other pulled out ingredient after herbal ingredient from the cabinets in the small sea-side home. For all of Isi's herbal and plant knowledge, he didn't know anything about the items just produced, so he kept close attention as the doctor began working and explaining the dynamics of the salve he was making. In a way, the boy appreciated that Dr. Tsu was doing everything in front of him, so Isi could know exactly what was going into the salve and what he would be applying to his raevan's wound. Of course, this was quite a protective feeling on Isi's part, particularly since he was just a fifteen year old boy with a ward that was maybe ten years younger than him mentally, but it was something born of the responsibility of watching over Eiry. If the young frei hadn't entered his life, Isi would probably still be an irritated grumpy boy who bit the head off of anyone who looked at him funny, instead of being an irritated grumpy boy who bit the head off of anyone who looked at him funny who was very protective and caring about his unorthodox family and his ward. So, all in all, Eiry had brought out the good in the cripple and the feelings drawn forth were rightfully spoken for and reasonable for someone in his position.
As Dr. Tsu listed off the different side effects that might effect his raevan, Isi found himself with an increased worry for the rest of the other household occupants as well as himself instead of Eiry. It was one thing if Eiry lost his appetite, they would be able to deal with that. The Delaran family might even be able to deal with the hallucinations, albeit with more difficulty, but they'd manage. What Isi worried about was the "amplification of powers". He was sure that, combined with Eiry's natural mischievous attitude and creative intelligence, the frei was going to be a living nightmare if he entirely disappeared.
But...Eiry's health depended on it and Isi wasn't about to let his frei continue on with a crooked and crippled wing. Hell. No. Isi wasn't going to let ANY frei of his get near to what he had to live with on a daily basis. So with a firm set of his jaw and a nervous gulp, the young lad nodded after every side effect mentioned.
"Eh, we'll be able to deal with anything the mischief-maker is able to throw at us," the boy said, watching as Zave and the doctor had a short exchange over the word "spiritualists", "Actually, I'm the one who chases off bad ghosts, usually, around the household, so I don't think we need a spiritualist. We just need a way to keep Eiry from bothering the marsh ghosts, is all."
"No, no," Eiry said to Zave with the shake of his head, "Isi chases away bad ghosts." Which was the truth. When Edgar visited them on multiple occasions, Isi was almost always there with a vial of holy water in one hand, and a glare that could exorcise almost any demon. Eiry was confident in his guardian's capabilities to vanquish any ill intentioned ghost that Eiry managed to tease or lure out of the marsh.
Giving his wings a little flutter and flap, the minty raevan orbited Zave, eying him with curious eyes and a big ear-to-ear grin that returned after his guardian got distracted with the doctor. "I? I know not. Always able to, just woke up, yes. One day, got scared and pushed through things to get away. I'm not so scared now, no no! Now I like to be the one scaring." Eirdirsceol gave a happy chuckle, one that sounded eerie and child-like at the same time.
Working out a free arm from his crutches, the boy took the mixture and gingerly slipped it into his coat pocket, taking glances at it as he did so. It felt nice to have something solid within his grip that would help Eiry, for sure. It felt like hee was just handed a small amount of power, and Isi had to admit that it felt good. He had control again, and he could help his raevan. Turning his gaze to look gratefully at Dr.Tsu, the crippled boy slipped his arm back into his crutch and gave a smile after chuckling at the doctor's rather obvious joke about the shredder, "Thank you very much, Dr. Tsu, for all your help and advice. I'll send a report to the lab with information on the results of the medicine. It should be interesting at least, since Eiry is part Yggdrasil and all. Thank you for your time and apologies for Eiry's behavior."
Speaking of which, Isi turned to his frei and motioned him towards the door with the jerk of his head, "Hey, Eiry. Come on, let's go. You've caused these good people enough bother for now."
Giving a sigh, Eiry balefully glanced back towards Zave, for he knew that as soon as they got back to their scooter, he was going to have a very irritated crippled guardian to deal with. Well, Isi had a point, so, with a shrug, Eiry floated forward and gave a quick hug to Zave's arm before flitting after his guardian who was already hobbling towards the door. Before he completely disappeared out of sight, the minty raevan spun around and waved enthusiastically at Dr. Tsu and his frei, "Bitterness is fond farewell!" he piped.

Tsu was more than glad to hear that Isi was a very dedicated guardian to both his charge and his family. Especially the part where he'd send a report with the results of medical treatment for the wing. Anything to lessen the amount of paperwork he had to do was fine by Tsu. Taking Zave with him outside, Tsu made sure to see the two off with a wave and a smile. "I hope that things work out for you and Eiry, Isi."
After the two disappeared into the distance, he turned and headed back into the beach house. Once Zave followed him back inside, Tsu couldn't help ask what the frei thought of their patient today.
"He seems to be interesting. And as Isi said, it should be interesting to see how the two components of the Yggdrasil mix." Zave mentioned seeming to straighten one of his locks of hair while deep in thought.
"I meant personality wise. What do you think of Eiry's growth as a person?"
Zave was hoping to have avoided that question as best he could. "Well... he could still stand to grow in some ways... but maybe to him, the pranks he pulls are a sign of affection? Like how a little boy might throw wood chips at the girl he likes? But Eiry does it with almost everyone. In any case, I think he balances Isi well. He should be fine." Zave finished his analysis of the other raevan with a small nod and a smile.
Tsu looked at the other and gave a nod, "You seem to have a better read on this, so I'll trust your judgement. It seems like you might be onto something though about how they complement each other well. Isi could stand to lighten up just a little bit though. Although I understand his concern for his charge. I hope I didn't scare him too much with the wing comments." Stamping out a cigarette, Tsu put Eiry's file into the bin marked undergoing medical treatment. He also made sure to take a copy of the notes to Kyou for further analysis at the labs.
