((You tease! =P))
Once she was full, she raised her head only to see Kru wading into the water. Alula couldn't help but watch in amazement. She's never actually seen anyone hunt fish before, this shall be her first time! Her dark eyes watched the leopard as he went into the water and came back up with a fish in his maw. She was surprised to say the least!
A large smile spread on her face as her tail flicked slightly, "That was amazing Kru! You did is so well, I could only imagine that if I had done that I'd be in the water getting wet and scaring all the fish away!" She had no experience hunting in water, but Kru surely did!
As he placed the fish on the ground, she could only help but to admire the way he was. All wet, his fur clung to his body to fully expose how muscular he was. Compared to herself, she was a twig! With a sly grin, "On the contrary, I would not say that you're unsightly at the very least, Kru! In fact, if you liked, I could admire you so more."

he blushed lightly. "Oh thank you, Alula, it was nothing really. My parents and family had another way of hunting that I could not master so I just pounce and hope it stuns the fish enough for me to grab it," he chuckled. A little embarassed really. "It's nothing really. You could do it if you tried."
He tilted his head at her request, his fur dripping wet, completely oblivious as to why she wanted to admire him some more. Admire. She wanted to admire him? His face turned a slight tint as he gave a sheepish chuckle. He looked at her briefly before standing again, only to show off how strong his legs were. He did not know it, but his movements were just boasting off what he had to offer to anyone. If it wasn't fur his thick fur, the leopards would have seen a better male. Something to... admire. "Uh... S-sure, Alula. I'm just gonna keep hunting then."
Carefully, he got up and walked back into the water. Pausing every few steps to look back at Alula. Why... was she admiring him?

She giggled softly, Kru seemed to be so confused and baffled. Alula couldn't help but notice how adorable he looked. What? Did she just think that? She shook her head, hoping to shake that thought out of her mind. "There's never been large bodies of water around to where I could go fishing."
Not wanting the fish to go to waste, she bent down to tear pieces of fish off to eat. It's been a while since she's had fish, but it has such a unique taste. Once she was done, she wanted to join him in the water. Stepping lightly, she waded into the water after the leopard. With a cheeky smile, she flicked some water in his direction.

Kru chuckled and flinched at the incoming water splash. Playfully, he threw a harder swat of water at her, coincidentally, the swat had hit a fish and sent it right over her head. Kru's eyes blinked at the flailing prey in the air. Food... Oh no, it's gonna get away! Instantly, he lept as far he could... however, as far as he could was apparently not far enough. With the wet fur weighing him down, he was too heavy to get as far as he could. Landing on Alula, he ignored her for the moment and quickly reached with a paw to grasp the fish only to have it slip free again. Pushing with the same paw against the female's side he reached further for it and again it slips. With a last desperate attempt to obtain the fish, he clasps both hands around it, holding it for a second before going head first into the river.
Quickly glancing at both paws it became true. It got away. Looking over at Alula, he gave a rather apologetic shrug for jumping on her.

Just as she got hit with the water, Alula was not prepared for what came next. It was like Kru came out of nowhere and completely tackled her down to get the fish that he swatted at her. Sputtering some water that she had swallowed, that surely did not go according to plan at all.
Her dark eyes turned to look at him, and noticed his apologetic shrug directed towards her. While she knew he didn't mean to tackled her down, she couldn't hold that against him. Plus, she wasn't one to be angry over the little things like that. She gave him a small smile in return before wadding out a little from where he was. Her gaze shifted towards the swimming fish below her. She wanted to try and catch one! She kept her eye on a fish, watching it move around her. Her paw was raised slightly before she flicked it into the water only to see the fish swim away. Ah well, she couldn't expect to be perfect in the first shot.

Kru raised to his feet before giving a glance at her. The leopard could only chuckle at her first attempt at catching a fish. It was quite the cute display. She was such a novice! However, at least she was trying. His curousity rose wondering if he did nothing would she learn on her own or perhaps develop a way to catch fish like he did?
Shaking out his fur violently, he wadded back toward her, watching her carefully.
While she had gotten the oppritunity to see him wet, in a way naked to the skin, he got the chance to see her. As he had strong legs, as did she. She was a cheetah who ran of course, she used her legs quite a lot and there must have been lots of power in them to carry her through her speeds. Her fur was so sleek that the sun just made it shimmer. She was quite the magnificent female indeed, any male who claimed her was a lucky one.
Catching himself staring at her, he snapped to an upright position but his eyes lingered at her tail.
Quite lucky indeed.

A soft sigh escaped the ebony cheetah as she flicked her tail. Alula's dark eyes looked back to the water. She was so concentrated on the fishes' shadows that she didn't realize that Kru was not fishing at the moment and staring at her. Oblivious to his stares, she stood stalk still.
One of the fish started to swim away from the school she decided to try and get that one. She tried to make as little movement as possible as she stalked after it. With each step, she'd stop and wait for a few seconds. Once she got real close to it, she pounced on it. When she landed in the water with a splash, the fish wiggled underneath her. As it wiggled and wiggled, she tried to keep a good grip on it. It was slimy and wet, but she dug her claws into it hoping to kill it. After a little time had passed, a large smile spread across her face as she caught her first fish.
She bent her head down to take it out of the water. With the fish in her mouth she turned around to see Kru staring at her. She raised an eyebrow before she pranced over to his way, wanting to give him the fish.

Kru looked at her, she caught one! A rather unique technique... following the fish! Usually one's movements would startle them and off they went. But she was able to catch one by following it. Quite special that. The leopard flinched when she looked at him and started to come over at him.
D-did she see me!?
His ears flicked back as he looked upon her wet form again. She held a fish in her maw. He thought for a moment. She had eaten his fish earlier... was this a repayment? He inched slowly toward her opening his maw to take it but pauses, pulling back as he hesitated. Swallowing, he reached up and got a hold of it but in order to do so, their nose touched, his face turned the brightest red it could through his dark fur, his eyes looking at hers.
What was she going to think?

Alula stood there, waiting for Kru to take the fish. She was slightly confused what was taking him so long to do so. Did he not want the fish? She was curious as to why he was hesitating, but all of that washed away as he reached for it. Her dark eyes looked at his own, they were such a nice shade of blue. And then, his nose touched her own. She felt a chill run down her spine, but it wasn't a bad one, rather it was a good one.
Her cheeks felt heated and she was sure that her face might be a little, if not noticeably red. But, she was glad that he had taken her fish. It made all the difference to her, she was worried that he did not want it and thus her efforts would have been all for naught.
Her tail flicked slightly as she turned her head away, hoping Kru didn't see her red face. She didn't know or understand why she felt that way when their noses had touched, but she didn't not like the feeling and that's what confused her. Perhaps she was just too lonely. She then turned her head to glance back at Kru with a soft smile, "I hope you like it, he was a bit tricky to catch!"

Kru took the fish and headed to the shore, stepping out slowly and made sure to shake out each limb of water. Feeling burdened by the droplets, he shook again, fluffing quite amusingly and brushed it off. He was hungry, quickly jumping at the fish, devouring it leaving nothing but the bone, head, and tail. A scavenger could have the rest, surely there was one around to have it. He looked back at her slightly, trying to hide his face, the heat still across his face.
"Y-yeah! You did a great job, Alula, you'll become better than me someday if you kept that up, I know you will!"
Kru inched himself a bit back into the water before moving closer to her, still back to back. That touch... it felt so weird. It was not like a lick or a nuzzle, it was so much more. It was definitely different and it was so relaxing. There was something about this female...
His mind was soon clustered with thoughts of what was about that seemed to make him feel so calmed and opened with her. There was something... something... something no one else had. He looked back at her softly and purred.
"Alula? Do you think we could talk some? If we stay in the water, we might get ill..."

As he ate the fish, Alula had waded back into the water taking joy in it. It wasn't very often she got to play in the water. She was getting lost in her thoughts before Kru's voice drifted over to her. She couldn't help but smile. Though, she was curious now. What did he want to talk about? Hopefully he didn't want to leave her and head off on his own...perhaps the savannah was too much for him? She shook the fears away as she walked over to him.
As she got out of the water, she shook the water from her fur. His words rang true though, if she continued to be wet and the sun had set. She'd surely catch a cold. Her dark eyes looked at him as she made her way over to him. "Is there something on your mind, Kru?"

Kru came up beside her, still wet as he saw no point in shaking off. This seemed more important at the moment, but he did wipe his face a bit. He looked at her and smiled softly, she was such a sweet girl. He chuckled and licked her cheek.
"Alula, you know about me. My heart's quest to find the love of my life? Well, that is why I will always continue my travelings, a quest is never done until the goal is met, I will find that special someone and I hope you do too," he paused. Perhaps she was gonna get the wrong idea about all of this... but he had to ask, he wanted to know. "I want a family, but no leopardess would love me... but what about you? Do you not desire a family of your own? A nice male cheetah to sire your cubs? To be wanted? To be needed? To be looked up to?"

As she sat next to him, she heard his words. Alula wondered if he was worried about not having a family. He was so passionate about it, she could see it in his eyes. Though, his questions made him wonder if he wanted her to go and find a mate. With a soft smile, she replied, "I would like to have a family of my own one day. I can't say I'm too actively searching for a male to get that done, as you are searching for a female to start a family."
She paused before looking at the flowing water before them, "I'd like to be like the river. Let each day happen as it does. If I find a male cheetah to have cubs with, then I do. If I don't find a male cheetah, then I don't," She turned her dark eyes to look at Kru, "I'm sure you're like me, I like feeling wanted and needed and loved. It always makes you feel all happy to know that there's someone there who is your other half. But Kru, I wouldn't want you to be so consumed by that you don't enjoy each day as it goes by."
She leaned against him and rested her head on him. If she pressed her ear against him, she could faintly make out his heartbeat. Her eyes closed before she questioned him, "Would you be happy even if you had a mate, but no family? What if you find a female that you fall in love with, but she's unable to produce cubs? Would you still be happy then?"

"But of course! That is why I am here, Alula, to find that very female!" He was desperate to find that special female that would be there for him when he came home. The female that would love to be with him. Laugh with him. Cry for him. Sleep with him. Just be there, love was all he wanted, someone to come home to at the end of the day.
"Alula, I wanted you, that is why you are here, right? That is why you promised to be with me, right? You want to be wanted, I want you, you wanted to be needed, I need you here with me for I would be lonely on my travels if so, you wanted to be loved and I do-"
He cut off, his face-no, his entire body seemed to heat like a thousand suns as he nearly finished that. He swallowed hard as he slowly turned his head to Alula. He said it. He did say love right? Well, not literally, but he did hint toward it. He said something to the affect of it! he knew he did, he said he wanted her. needed her. loved her. Quickly he tried to change the subject as he looked down at his maw again.
"I want to live each day as a knew one, where the unexpected can happen..."
That did not help as the last words flowed back into his mind. With another swallow.
"Alula, I do care about you, it's just that... I dunno, perhaps I was afraid what you'd say or even if my feels are even true."

Surely, Alula had not expected the words that Kru spoke about. A leopard, such as himself, loving her, a cheetah? She knew how much he wanted cubs, to have a family in his name to live on, but she would not be able to meet that desire. And such, would he then be truly happy?
Her dark eyes opened in surprise as she turned to look at him. She looked him over before catching his gaze. "I did have that desire to be wanted. To not be alone. Whether I knew it or not, unconsciously I was seeking it out. Perhaps that is why I so readily wanted to stay with you, perhaps it was something else..." Her voice trailed off softly before she collected her thoughts to continue.
"Whatever it was, I have no regrets of any kind. You make me smile, you keep me company and for that, I am ever so grateful," Her ears perked forward as her tail tip flicked slightly. A sly smile slowly grew on her maw, "Being afraid is only natural. I am, afterall, a cheetah and not of your kind. It would only make sense to want and desire your own kind, not another kind." Her dark eyes gazed back towards the river. Nature had no preferences, it was the way things were. She had grown-up alongside a family of lions almost her whole life. Perhaps it didn't seem so unnatural to her to have affectionate feelings for another species, but to others, it must feel taboo.
She turned her attention back towards him, "Your feelings would most definitely be returned with feelings of my own. I don't fully understand it myself, but I am glad to know that you do care for me," She paused softly before speaking in a hushed voice, "You've given me hope, Kru."
