Cyr laughed, turned slightly, "I wouldn't doubt that you are from another world... I've met more then one here that claims the same thing. What I find hard to believe is that you recognize me when I have been here my entire life. I've never been anywhere else." He shrugged though, and returned his gaze to the path before him.
Taking a step, then another, he paused just long enough to see if the other was going to accompany him. If not... then he'd find something else to occupy his time. Interesting as this fellow may be, if he insisted on strange tales Cyr wasn't particularly interested - especially when he was having troubles of his own. A thought was nagging at the back of his mind but refused to come to the fore as many of the visions he'd experienced recently had been like. It was irritating in the extreme and he frowned, wondering just what the cause of them were.
Flicking his tails, he started forward again, regardless of what Arcanos was doing. He didn't like being so... unbalanced. You couldn't be proper and confident if you were always distracted.

Arcanos frowned at that, wondering how the hell he was supposed to ... weeelll... there was an idea.
Stepping along quickly for a minute or two, he caught up to the other and eyed him for a minute or two, deciding to try a couple of tactics here. "Well if you've always been here, then what was your childhood like? Who're your parents?" he asked - but not in a challenging sort of way. More like he was curious ... let Cyr draw his own conclusions when he couldn't answer the questions.

"My childhood....?" He tilted his head to the side, blinking as he drew a blank. Odd... one's childhood should be easy enough to recall. "My parents?" Blinking, he shook his head as the image of a stone complex, all aglow with mage lights rose. "They.... I..." Faltering, he stopped and peered at Arcanos, one brow drawing down in a puzzled expression. "I... they were... ahm, they had an ideal they held for us..." His gaze grew distant as more memories surfaced, "I got stuck with a position I didn't want... but it meant a lively social life..."
He blinked and shook his head vigorously, returning to his walk but at a much more brisk pace. This was disturbing... How had Arcanos called such vivid recollections? Fishing for more, he only found tall grass and sunny days, lots of other kitsusagi children... It was a contrived memory and for the first time, felt... off. "Why... do you ask?" He called over his shoulder, wings fluttering nervously.

Arcanos grinned inwardly at that. Sounded real familiar to him ... yup. But he didn't push, knowing it would probably be best if Cyr remembered things on his own ... at his own pace. Instead, he kind of drawled, "That sounds really interesting..."
Then he smiled slightly. "I don't remember my own parents. But I grew up in a kind of side-show circus... turning tricks for coin, that sort of thing..." Remember me... please...

"Heh. Perhaps I'm spinning a tale to match yours." He grinned at the other, one ear cocked to the side while the other remained perked forward.
"Like a gypsy...?" He turned to the other, interest piqued, "Acrobatics and the like?" His tails twitched and his ears perked, focusing on the other. Pursing his lips, he thought things over... this seemed familiar somehow. "Did you ever run into trouble? Travelling like that couldn't have been easy at the best of times...."

"Yea, kind of like gypsies," he replied, smiling. And then, "Oh... here and there," Arcanos murmured in response to the second question. He knew that look on the other's face meant that Cyr was thinking ... and thinking was good, so far as he was concerned.
Thinking back, Arcanos summoned up a memory and started telling a rather hilarious story about something that had happened back then - mentioning things like, oh ... hands and the like. Just to see if Cyr thought it odd.

Cyr laughed along with the story, totally missing the point about hands. It seemed so natural... at least until he moved to flick that one stubborn chunk of hair that always refused to part. Then he realized the inconsistency and blinked... but shrugged it off.
"What else did you do...?" Even if Arcanos liked to tell tall tales, he at least told them well. He flicked an ear and stopped when they emerged in a grassy meadow, settling down onto his stomach a little ways in and watching the moon. Night was his favorite time, peaceful and mysterious... dark. It was a familiar thing, this lively darkness, so he tried to spend some time in it to cheer up.

"Mm, that was about it.." Arcanos replied, padding along beside the other and then also flopping down in the grass. He sprawled a bit more than the blue kitsu did, ears drooping a little as he relaxed. "Until I met... someone who changed my life."
He had almost said 'you', but he wasn't sure if he wanted to push that point just at the moment...

Cyr laughed, shaking his head, "Oh? Someone to lure away from the magic and romance of the gypsy's life?" He arched a brow, grinning, "Must have been quite the person." So he had a significant other... sighing quietly, he set his chin down on his paws and lamented it. He may flirt, but only when he thought the other was available. As soon as it became apparent they were promised, he would leave off - it wasn't right to tread on another's territory.
"How did you meet?" He asked lightly, unable to keep the hint of disappointment from his voice. It was polite to at least hear the story... even more blunt to cut him off now. Looking off in the distance, he sighed once more. Perhaps the wholeness he was experiencing with Arcanos was him wishing too hard. Sometimes the more you wanted something, the further away it went.

Arcanos smiled at that, turning to lick at some errant fur on a shoulder - seeming to notice for the first time just how mangy and dirty-looking he was. Ugh...
"Well... if you didn't know this already, gypsies are also notorious thieves," he started out, smirking. "And ... to make a long story short, I got caught, and thrown in jail."
He paused then, eyebrows raised - to see what the other thought of that. It was weird...telling Cyr their own story...

A sudden urge to fix the other's appearance himself rose in Cyr and he pushed it away, startled by the reaction. It made no sense... Frowning slightly, his ears flicked as Arcanos spoke, something resonating. It sounded familiar...
A vision, clear as day, took him and he gasped at how vivid it was. A strange combination of it being familiar yet totally foreign washed over the kitsusagi. "I... I was imprisoned at one point too..." Shaking his head, he waded through the images, "But not for theft. Couldn't blend in any more. Was awaiting death..."
He glanced at Arcanos, eyes narrowed, "But someone broke me out..." Tilting his head, Cyralthein shifted onto his side, frowning deeply. Something was up, he could tell. But he hadn't been able to see who had helped him... couldn't remember why he was there or even how they had gotten out, only that he had. It was disturbing and confusing... first with Deadpool and now with Arcanos. Why had he been normal before they'd started talking? Now it seemed every time anyone said anything, it triggered one of these stupid memories... Places and people and things he'd never come into contact with.
Making a pained sound, Cyr rubbed a paw against his face as a headache started. "Whatever you're doing... stop...." He'd gotten a migraine last time he'd sat down after such a session of memories and wanted to avoid the trouble.

Arcanos tilted head and stared as Cyr pretty much started in on telling his own part of the story. Hesitantly, yea ... but, still.
"Stop what?" he asked softly. "I'm just telling a story..." It wasn't his fault if said story happened to be memories for the other, and they were coming back. He wanted them to come back...

Cyr mumbled something then sat up suddenly and fixed Arcanos with a searching gaze. "You're just like Deadpool... things you say... makes me see things.... experience things from places I swear I've never been." His expression fell and his chin dropped as he spoke softly, "It's confusing..."
Trailing off, he watched the ground for several moments then inhaled deeply, held it, then let it out in a big puff as he looked up, "You seem familiar... Like I know you but..." Frowning he shook his head and shuffled forward to settle before the other, "it can't be possible can it?" The only way he'd understand was if he asked questions... clear up the mystery. He was tired of being inundated with visions but not knowing their source.

Arcanos had no idea who this 'Deadpool' was, but ... if he'd also helped Cyr remember some things, maybe he owed the other something. "How do you know you've never been to these places...?" he asked softly. Was it so hard to accept that there might be something else out there?
"I already told you who I was," he answered then, staring calmly at Cyr. "But that's just another impossibility..."

"Because I don't see those places here...." He mused, "Everyone seems to call some other place home but I've called this place home..." Trailing off his thought it over and found he didn't know since when. "For a long time. Deadpool comes from some place where the people have super powers... You say you're from another place... and still others claim similar things." He didn't want to admit the possibility... it was just overwhelming. To think you were from one place when the truth was far different from reality.
"But if those places are possible, then what you say could be as well... and I..." He tossed his head, closing eyes, "I'm confused...." His tone was worried, lost.... lonely. There had been a time where he had been able to seek support but just didn't know. He'd been looking for that source of comfort and all he'd found were headaches. It was disheartening.
