Undiscovered Artist I'm getting sick of this. Sure, there are girls who put out easily. Is it wrong, yes? Does it make her a slut? Maybe. This may not always be the case, but here is an example that bugs me: a 14 year old girl is dating a 17 year old guy. Obviously, she is very naive and puts out to him. Everyone calls her a slut, but nothing is really said of him. Now, we have another example. A guy sleeps with 4 girls in two weeks. And all his friends think he's awesome for having sex with what's-their-faces (who were easy to put out in the first place). [Please note that I know this isn't always the case.]
I read a chain letter a few months ago (and I've seen it a few more times) titled "What girls don't know about guys." It had things listed like "We like a girl who says 'handsome' rather than 'hot.'" But one thing that really caught my attention was "We hate slutty girls. Just because we sleep with them doesn't mean we like them." Is that supposed to be... er... good?? neutral
Honestly, which is worse: the slut or the one who takes advantage of her? what about both the slut and the ones who take advantage of the females? some instances one is no worse than the other

DarkMotiv I am of the opinion that people vary too widely to generalize like this. I myself grew up planning to stay a virgin until married, and raise a happy family. I graduated 2 years early from high school and started my career as a fire fighter. While fighting fires, attending college, and supporting myself and the love of my life, I never noticed how naive I was. At the age of 18, I finally gave in and slept with her, despite the fact that we hadn't taken vows. Still, with every intention of marrying her, I used a condom and things did not change. However, every day after, she wanted it more, and I was blindly in love at gave her what she wanted. Wearing my ring, she used my naivety against me, and eventually she moved on. Now no one mentions cases like these, where good guys are used and abused. The gender isn't what matters, its the character of the individuals involved. I am not saying we should just accept it, but perhaps teaching our children better morals and standards when they are younger, helping them develop as whole people, would stop these tragic situations. So when addressing this topic, please don't make it one sided. Girls and boys alike are just as susceptible to such circumstances. very true. i have been through those alot myself. as well as men and women alike being just as susceptable to such circumstances, and teaching our children better morals to fix this situation, we need to change how we act every day to have reasons for telling our children why not to do it. if a person clls you a stupid ******** is it ok to tell them, "that language isnt acceptable here you stupid ********!'' ? its not. there was once a time when men and women respected each other and there was no where near the same emotionally damaging situations going on like there is today. people have become more and more relaxed with the way they act, without considering the other persons personal views or life style. as well as the gettin lucky male and the slutty female, its a proven fact that there are just as many males being taken advantage of in the U.S. in one way shape or form as there are females. only difference is. what guy is really gonna call rape on a female? were to stupid to realize were being taken advantage of. lol

OK heres the thing...
the girls who are willing to do whatever they can to get a guy, thats wrong.
if they are going out with someone just for the thrill or they just arent with somebody, thats wrong.
'Slut' really is just another steriotyping word. the same as 'whore.' honesly, somebody will just be called these names because of what other people see. its the victim's choice whether to stop these accusations by shaping up or being more concious of what their outward appearance is.
opinion has been stated.

I personally think the one who takes advantage of her. I think this because even though the guy probably knows it he still will. And if he doesn't catch it then hes just stupid.
But then the slut is also a problem, because she is the one that allows the man to take advantage of her, so in essence they are both at fault, however I should think the fault be spread equal I do definetly belive the one who takes advantage of her is the worst.

men are easily seduced put a naked woman in front of him and he'll try to boink her.... put a man in front of a slut and and she'll try to do the same.... they are both equally bad/good but if you are not one of the people involved its none of your damn business anyways......so does it really matter?

It's all just sexist. anyways guys taking advantage of girls, girls taking advantage of guys....it's wrong not matter how you look at it. I believe guy or girl if you are sleep around with lots of people your a slut.

Okay, so guys, double standards are getting old. To let you know, girls experience a lot of pain, emotionally and physically during the first time, and regret for everytime being taken advantage of. I know guys say "Oh I just can't control myself" That's bullshit. Think of this. A guy and a girl have sex, he goes out and tells everyone, everytime the guy passes by another guy in the halls or whereever they get a high five. Everytime a girl passes by she gets called a slut. Have you ever stopped to think they did it to make you happy? Stop being dickhead assholes and control yourself. Girls aren't peices of meat you can have your way with.

When someone acts like a slut, they're gonna get treated like a slut. Plain and simple.

Guys don't always sleep with sluts. I sure don't because I don't want any STDs. To be all out honest I hate even looking at the sluts, because they disgust me so much. Yes, they have their reasons of being slutty, but why do it if you can live with those reasons without being slutty? At my highschool there are quite a bit of freshman dating seniors. The freshman are girls too. It bothers me so much because if the seniors were men they would't take advantage of these girls. I've heard some of the seniors in athletics talking about how many girls they've dated. It's a game to them and freshman are the easiest for them to get, because they want to be popular.
