Purin moved her hands for a moment and looked down at the small hacker before raising her eyebrows and smiling down at the child.

So she wants to be sneaky? How cute.

Right away Purin could tell something was amiss as there were fragments of data scattered near a particular area, and she made her way over to check out the 'crumbs' and perhaps give more of an impression that she was 'playing along'.

< Zest, I think I may have found one over here but... >

She tilted her head to the side in an effort to look confused, and she placed one of her hands under her chin in 'thought' as she continued to look. After a moment a large '!' appeared in her box and she turned to give a shocked look at Zest.

< It's nothing but crumbs! Do you think someone may have gotten to the cookies right after you hid them? >

Zest follows behind Purin, cautiously covering her mouth to make sure she didn't giggle or give it away. She peaks out from behind him to examine the fragments of data as well.

she shouts with a shocked expression worn upon her face. she adds before pretending to look around for anybody in the immediate area.

Purin chuckled softly as she quickly made her way over to Zest, and with a slight movement of her hand she ran her finger over the tip of the child hacker's slightly bluging stomach.

< I would think that you are a little full now, aren't you? Even though they are not real you did eat a good deal of data in a short amount of time. >

Her brow creased in a bit of worry as she stood back up (as she'd been kneeling) and she crossed her arms over her chest in a rather calm manner.

< Are you feeling alright? >

Zest looks down to her own tummy as Purin touches the bulge. she says, appearing to giggle a moment. With a guilty look in her eyes, she watches Purin rise up. she replies, closing her eyes and crossing her arms as well.

Suddenly, her face brightens up and her whole body bounces with a giant hiccup. A giant text bubble pops up, displaying the following:

Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt, 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margerine (softened), 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 2 large eggs, 1 3/4 cups milk chocolate morsels, 1 cup chopped nuts.
Preheat: Oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine: flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake: for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

A clear '!' popped over Purin's head as Zest moved back, but it disappeared just as quickly as she noticed the recipe that the smaller girl popped out and into the area.

< Ah, a cookie recipe. That looks good, I may have to save this and tell my master about it. Thank you very much. >

She bowed her head towards the little hacker and smiled softly, her warm amber eyes rich with a bit of admiration. Sure, she still had a hard time speaking with Zest (probably due to age and the lack of interaction she faced) but for now she found the smallish one to be darling.

< How much do I owe you for the recipe? There are some things I am able to do and would be willing to do in return for you. >

Zest tilts her head to the side, looking to Purin like she's crazy. She hiccups violently once more, displaying a recipe for oatmeal cookies. Another hiccup and peanut butter cookies display as well. Zest grumbles and closes the recipe text bubbles. She emotes a <*sigh*> and rubs her tummy. she admits with a frown. Eating too fast had given her the hiccups. While it appears cute, the hiccups seem a bit harsh and upsetting to the child hacker.

< Are you alright then? Your data hiccups should stop soon but if it's making you uncomfortable now, I'm wondering if I can do anything for you. >

Purin's remark on the hiccups making Zest uncomfortable was drawn from watching the child's face and the clear displeasure that resided there. Was there a way to help the child, like hack into her data and remove some of the bites?

Was it possible?

Being able to hack into another Hacker's data was something that was out of Purin's league, but she knew someone like one of the twins perhaps would be able to assist her on this, but...would they really do it? And would having them around actually make things easier?

< Perhaps maybe you should try eating a defragment program or databyte. That might help you with your unease. >

Wandering about cyberspace, in a bit of a mood for having not run into anyone for a while aside from the usual group of hackers, Li'tae vaguely noticed a ping running through the air. Tilting his head with a smirk, he noticed it wasn't a ping he was familiar with, and followed after it at a casual pace. Soon catching sight of a brilliantly colored child and a mottled elder hacker, he smirk grew to a playful grin. Perhaps the day wouldn't be so boring, after all.

Approaching the two with a friendly wave, he gave a small bob of his head that might have passed as a polite nod of hello, if it weren't for the smirk playing at his lips. Interrupting the two without so much as an apology, he pleasantly greeted them both.



Smiling, he stepped up nearer to the two, within a polite distance for conversation, but not so close as to make anyone feel uncomfortable with him. Mentally quite pleased with himself for having calmed down considerably since that night he hung out with Trisste.

Zest sits perfectly still a moment, seeing if she can stop hiccuping by will alone. Her stomach glitches slightly, followed by the involuntary emoting of <*burp*>. She covers her mouth, giggling at the strange sensation.

Vibrant citrus eyes dart to the form of another elder, a confused look overtaking the child's expression. Not understanding the concept of "personal space" that humans and perhaps older hackers have come to grasp, she wanders right over to Li'tae's feet. She peers up at him with bright eyes, shining full of curiosity. she pleasantly greets the newcomer. Wasting no time to promote the pile of image files nearby, she asks him with her cutest expression worn,

Purin watched Zest burp once more, clearing what data was in her system, and the elder Hacker let out of small smile of relief, as well as a sigh of one as well. She wasn't sure what she was going to do if the child has stayed rather ill. but since Zest seemed to be doing better, Purin felt there was no more need for worry.

Of course, that changed when another Hacker entered the field, her sensors beeping right away at his location. Spinning slightly so that she was prepared for anything, Purin's eyes narrowed as she viewed Li'tae.

She'd never met other any other Elder Hacker outside of the twins, and she felt the need to be careful despite his pleasant greeting. She was about to warn Zest to be cautious as well, though she didn't have a chance before the small child zipped away towards Li'tae's feet.

Tilting his head as an amused smile tugged at his lips as he glanced down at the child hacker. Pleased that he wouldn't have to sneak nearby to entertain himself with their company, he reached down to pat the girl on the head. Aside from the rare dealing with child hackers at the store, Li'tae had never really bothered anyone that wasn't at least an adult or an elder. The possibilities of corrupting the youth to his own style of living mulled about in his mind as he gave her a silly grin before politely refusing.

Patting his own belly, he winked conspiratorially towards the other elder before tilting his head back down to the child.

Returning his attention to the mottled elder, he stuck out a hand, doing his best not to smirk at her apparent unease.



Smiling his best friendly, open smile he tried to appear as open and honest as he might, in order to lull the elder into not thinking he was evil. He wasn't. He just enjoyed playing games with hackers and humans involved, that's all.

Zest blinks her eyes quickly, looking up toward Li'tae with great interest as she's patted. She pouts a little as the male declines her offer for a cookie. As Li'tae's attention shifts to the other elder, so does Zest's attention shift. She waddles over toward the pile of files, busying herself with sorting them alphabetically by file name.

With a look of admiration on her face, Zest gazes upon the neatly arranged files. Then, just as a child would, she jumps right into the middle of the cookie image files to create one large messy pile again. Her little arms flail about, displacing some files as she giggles with joy at the fun she's having.

Purin's memory bank ran back to the message left by the twins before she'd departed from them, warning her to stay away from a black male Elder Hacker with red accents. Of course she took to it right away as the Hacker had given his name to be the one that the female twin had told her, and his appearance did match the exact description the male twin had given her, so there was very little room to doubt.

About 0.0000001% room.

< Zest, you should come over here and we can keep playing. Li'tae here doesn't really want to bother us, now does he? >

Her expression was daring, like she almost baiting Li'tae into doing something towards her or the child.

Smiling at the young hacker's short attention span, Li'tae chuckled. Children were amusing, though their lack of ability to sit still and focus was one of the reasons he didn't enjoy being near to them. The way she was piling things up just to mess them all up again reminded him of a story Adalia had told him when he'd first met her. She had said that young children often create piles of leaves and jump in them, spreading them all over before repeating the process any number of times. Again, Li'tae was impressed at how the hackers, like himself, were developing tendencies so similar to that of humans. If only the naysayers who thought they were 'just' data could see Zest playing like this.

Frowning at the female hacker's behavior, Li'tae gave a small shrug. Perhaps she was just anti-social. Though, that didn't explain how she seemed to be quite buddy-buddy with the younger female. Maybe it was a woman thing? He didn't really understand females, but thought that this one's immediate venomous attitude was considerably out of the normal. She reminded him of someone, though he couldn't quite place the name. Storing it away to peruse later, he added a note to ask Trisste about the hacker before him. Trisste traveled a lot more than he did, so perhaps he'd have met her.

Tilting his head, he finally settled for a short response. Trying to be careful not to make the other elder snap, he didn't really want to have a fight in front of the kid. A protective habit he wasn't used to, and that bothered him just a little.



Spreading his hands out to either side, his shoulders raised in a small shrug.

Zest frowns, ceasing any movements to just sit still upon the pile of files. After listening to what the two elders had to say, the child decides to impart upon them her own bits of wisdom (however borrowed they may be). Zest lifts herself up and waddles over to Purin's side. The child pokes at Purin's leg, looking up at her with somewhat saddened eyes. she explains.

Her head turns as she looks over to Li'tae to offer a small smile. Zest giggles a bit, emoting this for both of them to see. <*giggle*> In a flash, she returns to a pouting expression as Zest stares back up to Purin. she states with a whiny look upon her face (the kind a human child gives their parent when begging for a toy).
