I've only read the first one. I bought the second about two weeks ago, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. xD
I was honestly surprised at it. I didn't expect to like the first book, but I did. I only read it to get a friend to stop harassing me, but I found myself not able to put it down.
I've heard that the author essentially writes them just for the money after the first and second books. I've heard he's a bit of a sell-out. Hope that's not true, because I'm looking forward to the rest of the series being as good as the first one... Dx
I don't really understand what's so great about Twilight. But, y'know, whatever tickles your pickle floats your boat...

When I read the first Maximum Ride book, I was like "Oh my GAWD!" Then after reading the next books, it gave me a feeling that Paterson was making it up as he went along. There were people dying, then being alive, then dying again cause some freakish game they were playing to test Max.
Yeah, the fourth one (The Final Warning I think. Saw it at costco and bought it! xp ) isn't so much of a literary jewel, but it obviously focuses on environmental issues! biggrin *nods approvingly*
James Paterson is so freaking hilarious! xp
I love Harry Potter, but I highly doubt the author of the Twilight series is the new J.K. Rowling. Nu way. Sorreh to all you Twilight/vamp friends out there. Just throwing out my opinion.
