Starla didn't laughed even if she wanted. She knew when someone need to show himself strong in front of others. And this stallion was nice, she decided she would not ask much.
"It's a good excuse" She smiled. "Do you want to walk a little to find something ? I'm not sure there is still many fruits arround but we can search".

Inwardly Haya was very relieved. Starla seemed like a very nice mare. He was acting pretty silly in his efforts to be dignified but she was pretending she didn't notice. He guessed that was a benefit to talking to a more cultured mare. He didn't know what to say to her but she was too polite to acknowledge that.
"Yeah, maybe we can find something. Sometimes there are still some apples around this time of year."

Starla looked arround. She didn't really knew the place and she didn't really want to go to the forest. "Do you know a place ? i don't know this part of the land actually, i just finished here because it was quiet."

Haya nodded. This was something he was good at! Finding food! He knew just the place to find some late apples and it was secluded enough that they wouldn't all be eaten already.
"I live around here so I can show you the places to find good food. There are apples pretty close by, actually. Me and my friends like to eat there when everything else gets boring."

Starla smiled, it was a good things she met him then. She started to be really hungry. "Then i follow you gentleman" she said with a little laugh. She started to walk slowly, waiting for the stallion to move. She actually looked arround the place where there was not too much leaves.

She called him a gentleman! He almost felt like the word when called it by such a dainty mare. He was all too happy to lead the way, proud that he could do something of use. It wasn't far to get to the apples and in her presence it felt like no time at all.
"Here we are," he announced when they had arrived. "Apples!"

Starla was thankful it was not too far. "Great, thank you" she said with a smile, then she tried to pick an apple. She took one and put it on the ground where she could ate it. She sat, waiting for Haya to do the same before starting.

It took Haya an awkward moment of wondering why Starla wasn't eating before he belatedly grabbed an apple for himself. He bit into it, enjoying the tart skin but sweet juice underneath. The apples were always good this time of year.
He glanced up while eating, curiosity finally getting the better of him. "Hey Starla, how do you get your hair like that?"

As soon as Haya started to eat she bit on hers too. Eating slowly to not put juice on her. When she finished she replied to him, because it was not polite to speak with something in mouth.
"I leave with a Prince before coming here, in an other country. I let my hair grow up till i was young, it was him who put them like this. My actual two-legged took time the morning to do the same."

".. A prince?" The word wasn't one that Haya had heard too many times in his life but he still knew the importance implied in the word. It was no wonder that she was so fine mannered and poised if she knew someone like that!
"... Wow." He blinked widely, still surprised. "Did you come over to these lands on one of those things that travel on the water? The bigs ones that are pushed by wind?"

Starla nodded, there was some sadness in her eyes, like always she spoke about her previous life. But now she could smiled too so it was alright, it was all wonderful memories.
"Yes, but it was not really a good travel for me. I lived with the Prince in an other country overseas. He was an human, but a really gentle one. Sadly he is dead already, it's why i ended up here." her voice was calm even if it was difficult for her

Haya felt like he should start steering away from this topic even if he was curious. It seemed like it bothered her to talk about her memories. "I've never really done much with humans," he admitted. "Mom always traveled around a lot so she didn't have one and I never really learned what to do with them."
Looking between the differences in their hair styles he gave a wry grin. "Though it does look like they're pretty useful for a lot of stuff, huh?"

She smiled at Haya, he changed subject on purpose, she thanked him for that.
"Chandrika is nice for a two-legged, she always took care of us. She doesn't consider us as pet but as friend. I'm not often at home but when i'm it's good".
She looked her hair and tail and laughed. "Yeh it's useful, she took lot of time to do it, but it's like a memory for me." she quickly went back at that time again but she was in reality now. "You have siblings ?"

Finally it felt like the awkwardness had passed. Haya's smiles came much easier now and he shook his head at the unicorn's question. "Nope. No siblings. It was just me and my mom when I was a colt." He paused for a moment and caught one strand of his red and gold mane to chew on thoughtfully.
"I always thought it'd be fun to have siblings, though." He'd been friends with the unicorn stallion Vis but still had had many times that he wished for more company.

Starla looked at him. "Oh it's strange, so i guess you don't know your father ?" she didn't know her family too. Before she was in age to understand she was already with the prince. But mare have two babies in general she was sure about it
