At first he didn't recognise the name, then... It sank in. Nyekundu, the lion who had killed Mufasa. The lion that had taken away from Danzi the chance to get to know his only uncle. It was the lion who had stolen away cubs from other prides and places. And this was his daughter. His brows furrowed again before he growled. "No, I won't hurt you. I have a better idea. Get up."

Not wanting to envoke any more anger, Kimiko did as she was told and got up. Where was she being taken? As the lion went off towards the desert, she wondered still... Would she live to see the grasslands again? Would she ever see any of her sisters again? When the grasses turned into dunes, she glanced back. Pride Rock, though she'd never much fancied it, seemed so far away now. Her gaze turned back towards the male. "Where are you taking me...?" It was all she asked, all she said.

Danzi looked at her, green eyes narrowed. "To the Firekin. That's where somebody like YOU belongs." They would break her spirit, shatter her very soul. She'd wish she had never messed with his family. As they crested a dune, he thought nothing of what he was doing. Danzi had changed from the sweet little cub he'd once been into a cold, hardening lion. He didn't realise it, but he was becoming his father.
