"Really?" Spellbound asked, wide-eyed, about the comment about the greens. He mentally pondered how many greens he ate when he was a colt, and why his hair wasn't longer. Maybe it was a property of the greens from where she lived before? However, as his hair fell back down into his eyes, causing him to toss his head back again, he conceded that he probably had enough hair anyway.
"Hm." He was broken from him thoughts when she asked he was taking her. He stopped and looked around the winter-kissed meadow. "Uh, no where in particular," he admitted, looking a bit sheepish. "You just said you wanted to talk, so I started walking...heh." To be honest, Spellbound was never really accustomed to going anywhere with a set destination in mind.

'It's my explanation for my locks anyway.' Sohalia noticed the mane-toss, but refrained from commenting, merely smiling again.
'Oh, so you are leading me a merry dance eh?' she wrinkled her nose, and laughed. Sohalia didn't mind too much, just as long as she wasn't frozen to the ground. They walked along a little way before she spoke again. 'So both your parents have the same kind of wings then?' she asked. She supposed that they would have, if so, wouldn't one of them have taken it upon themselves to make sure Spellbound was a proficient flyer?

Spellbound smiled at her laughter, even if he wasn't entirely sure what she was laughing about. She was a enigma for sure. "A dance eh?" He smiled and thought abuot that image for a moment. "I guess that's one way to look at it."
He fluttered his wings a bit at her other comment. "Yes. My mother had wings like an eagle, and my father wings like mine. They are both quite lovely. My brother, Nimbus, had wings like my mother." He didn't mention his other brother Sumi-e, he always felt a bit awkward talking about him. He was strange and quiet, and it was no secret that their Protector didn't like him much.

'As long as you don't lead me astray, that's all,' Sohalia teased lightly. As if someone as young and pretty as he could! She would be shocked if he had the life experience to be wild at any rate.
'Just the one sibling then? I have none,' she said, figuring that didnt give much away either. Little by little she was letting things trickle out about herself, mainly because she was finding the fluttery stallion charming. 'Is it good having a brother, do you get along?'

Spellbound smiled at her joke politely, looking to her a nodding his promise. "I actually have two brothers. The other doesn't have wings, though. He's quiet, but I guess we get along okay. Nimbus, the one I just told you about... he's nice and I guess we get along okay. He's a bit shy is all."
He looked back over to her. "Was it lonely not having any siblings? Or better?"

'I don't really have anything to compare it to. The experience of not having brothers or sisters I mean,' Sohalia explained as they wandered along.
'I had my mother's attention to myself, for the time that she was around at any rate. I don't remember my father..' she coughed lightly, not wanting to tread down that path if she could help it. 'No wings? Does your brother not find that hard that he is the only one alone that doesnt have the ability to fly?'
Wasn't Nimbus a type of cloud? Sohalia mused quietly to herself as she awaited the fluttery one to reply.

"Independence is good, I suppose," he said encouragingly. His ears were pricked, interested to know of the story, but didn't know how to pry without being rude. "Was your mother a unicorn like you?" That was innoculous enough, right?
At the mention of his brother he rolled his shoulders. "I dunno, probably. He's real quiet, but he scowls a lot. Our herd leader is real hard on him, more than his family. I can't tell if he's resentful for not being able to fly, or just all the flack he gets for it."

'To a point yes, but it does get hard to carry on a conversation with oneself. Not impossible,' Sohalia chuckled. 'But tricky. Plus if you do carry on in such a fashion you run the risk of being seen as eccentric if not a little mad.'
'She was yes.' she answered with a little nod, not expanding any further on the subject. 'I think I would scowl quite a bit myself if I were being held accountable for something I had no control over!' she frowned a little at that thought. She felt that she would definately not get along with the herd leader, sounded very dictatorial. 'Do you ever run afoul of your herd leader then?' she asked delicately.

Spellbound couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and chuckle at Sohalia's views on talking to oneself. She was an enigmatic Soquili indeed. But perhaps that's what gave her so much character.
At the mention of his herd leader, he just rolled his shoulders, the stray hairs on his mane falling back into his eyes at the motion. "Me personally, no. He rides my brother real hard because he can't fly. He's kind of obsessed with that it seems. He says it protects us from danger."

Sohalia winked and laughed at Spellbound in return; 'I'm sure at some point everyone has done it, on occasion it can be the only way to be sure of an intelligent reply.'
'Obsessed. Well I dont want to badmouth someone I've never met. I will say though that it really doesn't matter if you have wings or not. Knowledge of ones surroundings, and keeping your wits about you are what keep you alive in potentially dangerous areas. After all, if you have wings but don't have the sense to listen to your instincts then you might as well be grounded.' she flicked her tail. The mare shivered, sparing the sky a glance. As she did, a falling piece of white landed on her nose, melting at the warmth of her skin. She blinked flakes away as more snow spiralled down. 'Time to take shelter I think,' she said, as she shook her mane.

Spellbound nodded at Sohalia, fluttering his wings in the snow. "It was nice meeting you, Sohalia," he said with a genuine smile, "But my mom will worry if its snowing too hard and I'm not home. Flutter's don't fly too well in the cold."
He bowed before her, his mane cascading down like a lavender waterfall over his shoulders and face.
