"A knight, you say?" Her brow lofted as she circled the mare, tail twitching as if she were some sort of predator stalking prey. "I knew of a band of knights once... They fell... One... By... One." A smirk curved the corners of her mouth. "Such a beautiful land... In ruins now. In a way, that almost makes it more beautiful; to know what once lived there."

Her lips curled into a sort of snarle. "We did not fall. We left to protect those who could not live there and those we would not put though the hardship of it."
Their home had been destroyed for no reason they could fathom and they had pushed the other's out so that no one had to suffer.

You all stood back and watched it crumble around you. So many fights broke out over small patches of grass... Were you there for that?"

She snorted and ignored the lingering memories of some of them fighting over small bits of food. She'd tried to stop it when she could but had given up in favor of leading others away from their home.
"We did try...." They had just been no match for whatever destruction had crossed their land.

She had to warn Telikos. He needed to know that the things that had destroyed their homeland were here now and were going to do it all over again. They couldn't let it happen a second time.
