"Oh no, no." He said shaking his head. He was not going to have kids if he could help it. "Not this lad." He added with a chuckle. "I don't ever think I could handle little brats." He said in a cruel way, but one would hardly notice that he did. No... He couldn't watch little things running around that looked like him.... Like his father. What if one of them got his tail. No, he couldn't bring horrible life to innocent creatures.

Asami nodded her head a little. Takumi acted so much different now. Why was this? He used to be all about himself, but now he was more polite and... just different. The little brown and white ulaya shrugged her shoulders a bit and looked at her friends silver coat. Asami stood up and began walking towards a place to get a drink. She didn't want to seem rude, but her thirst was bugging her.

Takumi raised an eye brow and watched her. She seemed as if something was wrong. He let silence fill the air for a moment longer, just in case she was just taking a pause from saying something. He watched as she stood and began to walk away. Was she angry with him for what he said? He was confuse. He stood up and started to follow. "You ok?" He asked her not really in a concerned voice, but it was slightly there. A hint of care for his friend, but just because she had always been his only friend.

Quickly, Asami dipped her head down to the water and got herself a drink. Now that her throat didn't feel like a desert, she could talk to her friend more easily. "Yep, perfectly fine... just needed some water is all." She said smiling at her grown friend. "You have definitely changed Takumi." The little white ulaya said looking him over once again. He was huge! Not the fat way, but the tall way... compared to what they used to be. A small giggle slipped from Asami as she began thinking about their past adventures.

He laughed. "Well, you can't expect me to stay the same. I was only a kit when we last saw each other" he said. Not to mention that he thought he was something else. Females, he thought, had a lot more power then males let get noticed. Though, they didn't notice either. "Everyone changes sometime. For the best or worse."

"Yes, everyone does change." She said with a nod of her head as she watched the water for a moment. "So, what all have you done since we last spoke?" The little white ulaya said turning to face her friend with a smile on her face. The start of this day was good and nothing could make it go sour.

"Lots of stuff" He said. Wasn't sure exactly what to say to that. He wasn't going to try to remember back to everything he did. Who he ran into, and what not. Nothing that was important needed to be said. "You?" He was more curious about her, then about letting her know about him. He wasn't important. That would have hurt his old self bad, to realize that.

"Same here." She thought about all the things she had done. Too many to remember. Anything important? Nothing really... her mind was forgetting a few things, but there was something she wanted to tell him about. What was it though? Asami shrugged at her thoughts and looked at her friend. "Pretty much nothing too important." She said with a small grin on her face.

"Well, I hope it was important enough not to regret." He couldn't say that to himself. Everything in his past he did regret. His parents, him. Though, he couldn't say he regretted being friends with Asami. She always seemed rather spunky, and easy to be friends with.

The little white ulaya smiled at her friend and shook her head. "I don't think so." She said as she watched Takumi. Her ears twitched a little as little creatures made their noises. What was there to do? Everything seemed so boring today.

He nodded his head, happy to hear that she had nothing to be regretful for. At least that made one of them. He eyed the ground, then her for a moment as if he knew what she was thinking. "Perhaps we should have a little walk?" he asked. It was better then sitting in one place the whole time. It was nice to stretch one's legs out and just go where ever they carried them.

Of course she wanted to go on a walk. She was the type of ulaya that got too bored just sitting there. It made her feel jittery. When he asked the question she quickly answered. "Yep." As soon as she could, she stood up and began to walk towards a random direction, only pausing for a second to look back at Takumi to make sure he was coming. It seemed he grew up, but why hadn't she? Well, physically she grew, but why not mentally? Her shoulders shrugged and her legs continued to carry her wherever they pleased.

He slowly got to his feet with her reply. Good, he wouldn't have to sit here any longer. He didn't think he could handle uncomfortable sitting silence. Walking silence was different. At least he could listen to his paws hit the earth with every step he took. He smiled at her and was now next to her. "Any place in mind?"

Asami made a thoughtful look on her face then shook her head at Takumi. "No, do you have an idea of a place?" She asked, now thinking of one place that they had played around before when they were younger. Was that big green scaley thing still around? Did it grow in size at all or was it smaller now that they were grown? Everything seemed smaller, the trees, rocks, even the grass seemed shorter.

"Not really" He never had a sense of where to go next. Just to let his feet carry him to where ever. He had long forgotten about their play area, or at least where it was. His memories dragged on, but only really remembering the stuff he regretted. Why did that happen? Why did he always remember the bad stuff in life, rather the fun and happy moments? It made him angry some times. To just forget all his problems was what he wanted.
