rachaella22 Errr, I edited your guys' posts since there's some spoilers in them. >.>
Highlight to read:
But I agree. Maiko certainly isn't looking too good right now, but it's not completely over. However, since Zuko is now going with the Gaang, there's a better chance of him and Katara getting together.
Or at least being friends. Either would make me pretty happy. ^.^ Highlight I'm so happy! I'd be thrilled if they got together, but I'd be really happy if they just became friends, too. I think Zuko and Katara would make very close friends if they give eachother a chance.

Agreed. I mean, if CoD is any indication, they can along pretty well. It's just a matter of trusting each other.

Yeah, agreed. I think one thing that would really help her let her guard down around him would be seeing the softer side of him. You know, learning about his past and what he went through.
'Cause we all know Katara is a sucker for the emotionally tortured. xD

XD She's always simpithizing with people like Haru and Teo because of their saddening past. She has such a big heart. I'm sure she'd open up to Zuko if she found out how he got his scar.

Yeah, she'd just meltdown at that story. And then give him a hug. xD
Well, either way, she definately seems more sympathetic then Mai. >.> Or at least better at dealing with emotional situations. Mai's response is usually one of the following.
'That's nice' 'Stop worrying' 'Congradulations' 'You shouldn't care'
Sarcasm is optional. xD
Not that she doesn't care. She just... isn't the type of person who can or would help Zuko deal with his issues. If his worries were only trivial, she'd be great. But they aren't, and he needs someone who can help him sort things out. Like Katara. =D

Mai is defenitally less concerned for other's pasts and stories. She's more self absorbed. You're right. I think she cares, but not enough to help Zuko with his problems and personal injuries. Katara is his best option for support. ;3

I wonder whats up with non-shippers... I can understand the appeal of most ships but I don't understand it when I talk to an avatar fan who says that he/she doesn't ship at all. When they are like well I don't care. Whatever happens happens.

When they are like well I don't care. Whatever happens happens. Well, some people just aren't into the romantic aspect of the show, and just prefer focusing on the action and plot. I don't think it's very strange, though I know I'd never be able to be like that. xD

I couldn't watch a show without shipping. XD

And I also can't watch a TV show without shipping... xp But it's the same with reading books and watching movies.. I'm too into shipping to let it go. sweatdrop For me, before I shipped Zutara, I watched Avatar for its action. I didn't ship for the longest time. I remember watching them destroy the Drill, and I hadn't been shipping. But by the time of the Season Finale, I was a faithful Zutarian.. whee

I'm a hopeless romantic at heart I suppose. Shipping in anime/tv/manga/books/movies just comes with the territory! ;P
