The Promise
I think I've finally started to give up on Fiach ever trusting me. His relationship with Sionce always seems to grow stronger, though I know they never talk about their pasts. Yet his relationship to me seems to only ever grow thinner. I feel like my older brother is slipping away from me, and in the hopes of strengthening those ties, one day I extracted a promise from him. Fiach always keeps his word, so I prayed that making him agree to a promise would help him recover and be happy again.
Granted, coercing someone into something isn't always the best route, but I'm not entirely sure my brother will ever open up without being tricked into it. A fact that bothers me no small amount. I picked a day I knew Fiach would have several appointments, and picked a small fight with him. I used that fight as leverage to make him promise to be more open and to try to learn to trust someone. I told him I wanted him to talk to someone and get himself straightened out. I lied when I said I didn't care if he ever opened up to me, but I hoped that that little lie would make him open his heart to someone.
While it hurts that my brother can't open up to me, I pray that he does find someone he can open up to. People who bottle everything up inside have to explode eventually and I fear the day that Fiach's bottle finally decides to burst. Because of that fear, I specifically made him swear he would never attempt suicide again.
I know that the promise I begged him to make is one that he will struggle to keep for a very long time, but I hope that he does keep it. I don't want my brother to do anything stupid like that ever again.
Li'tae always teases me that Fiach's got a journal where he pours his heart out. But when I try to hack into it, Li'tae won't help and just sits there smirking at my failed attempts. I want to read that journal, because I want to know what makes my brother tick. But at the same time, I'm afraid to succeed in hacking that journal, because I'm starting to fear what I might find. I doubt I'll ever ask Li'tae what the direct contents of that journal are - or for him to help me.
If I'm going to discover what lies beneath my brother's mask, I'm going to do it on my own. One way or another. Just like Sionce. Both of them have masks that need removing, I just hope they remove them before their masks are all that are left of them.

Interesting Experience
I was tired of my brother always working and never seeming to have any fun. So I convinced Sionce to let us come over and hang out with him and the hackers. Though I have to admit...he seemed to enjoy hanging out with the hackers than he did my company. I still haven't convinced him to open up, but just like Fiach, I plan to get Sionce to understand that the past is the past. You can get over it and you can move on.
I had expected for us all to sit and chat, maybe worm in a few comments to try to dig beneath the rocky exterior the boys had, but it appears fate had other things in mind. What had started out as an innocent get together quickly became an odd mass of entertainment as the teasing got a little out of hand.
I...feel bad for upsetting Sionce and Fiach, but I don't really understand what had them so upset in the first place. Really I was just trying to take Sionce's mask off. He never does, so I was curious as to just what he looked like underneath it.
I didn't realize that he would panic so much that his heart gave out - and I really hadn't expected that my brother not only knew CPR, but would willingly perform it on his friend. Especially not after he so roughly threw Sionce into a bedroom and glowered at me! Though, it does make me wonder...is there something more to their relationship than meets the eye?
As Fiach became pouty, the hackers quickly stole the show. Sionce and I ended up watching a hacker version of soap operas, as Uso and Tsuki made an appearance. Uso and Li'tae were flirting heavily with one another when Tsuki went after Trisste. After some light haggling, Li'tae agreed to help his friend - but the way he went about it was...surprising, to say the least.
I never thought that Li'tae might like Trisste, but he's really not a good actor, and he was very convincing when he pretended that he liked his friend to make Tsuki back off. And he was so protective of him later, too! They make a cute couple, so I hope Li'tae eventually realizes that he doesn't just have to chase after female hackers all the time, that there are things that are more fulfilling.
My brother really is too high strung, and I would like to get him to open up more...but I think next time, I won't invite the hackers. At the least I definitely won't invite the hackers. I hope I didn't upset him too much...I just had thought that being around people that cared about him might help him realize that we're here for him.
Guess I blew that opportunity right out of the water.

A Day at Work
Newest Customers
Adalia meets three of the newest customers at .NET Hackers after coercing Fiach into taking a much needed day off. She meets a shy girl whose mannerisms she finds to be cute, a shy boy that she thinks is awkward and just generally in need of a good hug, and a tall man whom she finds interesting.

Accidental Meeting
Durem City Park
Whilst walking through Durem City Park, Adalia has a run in with one of the newest customers, Dean. They chat for a while and she learns the story behind his eye patch. Finding his awkward mannerisms to be cute, she happily accepts when he asks her on a date to have dinner at his house and meet his hacker, Zest.
