"Look out!"
Ryou stood there, panting, flicking his ears occasionally as he tried to catch his breath. He blinked, suddenly aware of the same amount of energy hurling back up towards him. Alarmed, he tried to jump from the platform, but the beam shattered the top of the pillar he was on, sending a shockwave through his body.
"Ryou, use psychic!"
"Bre!" He called as he twisted his body around in midair, feeling the presence of a pillar beneath him. He received a rather rocky landing, but he didn't let that bother him. His rings glowing blue, he began to charge a small ball of purple energy in front of him. It quickly swelled to the size of a basketball, and with precision, he spun and kicked it off with a hind leg. The ball of energy hurtled around the arena, bouncing off the sides of pillars with a sort of pin-ball effect, before speeding straight towards Aeon.

"Aeon! Use Agility and dodge!"
"RAICHU!" A light blue aura gathering around his body, time seemed to slow as he shot off the target pillar towards the next one. Rocks flew in all directions as yet another platform faded into non-existence; Aeon bounded from platform to platform before pausing on the one closest to Ryou.
"Aeon! Use Quick attack!"
Blue was replaced with white as the aura changed around the racihu's body; time sped up abit as he bounced upwards at an angle, throwing his entire body weight at the dark type pokemon.

"Ryou, stay there! Dark pulse!"
Ryou flicked his ears back as he settled himself on the platform, allowing all his rings as well as his eyes to glow dark blue. In a matter of seconds, a dark, almost black, purple-colored aura surrounded his body. He growled, gritting his teeth as the electric-type collided full-force with him. His own attack managed to help a bit, ensuring that at least some of the power of Aeon's attack had been displaced. So he stood his ground, waiting to see how his dark pulse worked.

"RAI!"
Poor Aeon was going to have a sore backside after this fight....The one of the few pillars remaining was crushed as Aeon's weight plus the heightened attack power sent him flying. Sliding on the hot surface, the rocks singed his fur to leave a mild burn on his arm.
Stumbling up, he wiped away the burnt hairs while wincing at the horrid stinging sensation. That was certainly going to leave a mark......
"Snap it, Aeon! Use Thunder again!"
'PICHU PI! (GO DADDY!)'
Both trainer and Raichu started slightly at the child-like voice, somehow....little Abiba had snuck into Jen's backpack and was now sitting on her shoulder. The tiny pokemon was waving little pompoms, cheering for her father.
Smiling at the encouragement, Raichu swiftly charged up the attack and let loose the electric barrage all across the stadium. Several of the bolts landed in the lava, causing it to churn rather.....violently.....

The dark-type snorted as he slid backwards on the platform a bit, but thankfully didn't fall off. He flicked an ear as he thought, but froze for a second. The platform began to shake slightly before tipping quickly over, threatening to cause Ryou to slide off. He leapt off the platform and onto the crumbling pillar, struggling to stay on it as large chunks of rock fell away under his paws. How could the stupid humans expect them to battle in this infernal place without dying?!
His eyes glowed blue as he used Kazuki's eyes to see, quickly scanning the arena to find a solid platform. Spotting one in the corner, he quickly jumped off the pillar, disappearing into the air. Appearing high above the remaining pillars with several baseball-sized balls of dark energy spinning around him, he called out before releasing his attack. "Umbreon!" And with that, the shadow balls all sped around the arena, each one heading straight towards Aeon.

Aeon paniced as his platform before shift and tilt from the boiling lava underneath the twosome. Apparently.....lightning doesn't go very well with pure lava and something had set off a reaction! Now the pillars were starting to fall over.
Aeon made a move to go towards a solid platform but was knocked sideways by a barrage of shadowly spheres, causing him to fall and hit the net below. Getting to his feet, Aeon was about to jump up when bubbles started to burst under and around him; this sent sprays of molten rock into the air, sending Aeon scampering around to avoid getting hit. Unfortunately, getting around on a bouncy net was fairly....difficult.
Abiba wailed unhappily as she watched her father struggled to mantain his composure, tears started to form in her eyes as the tiny pokemon hide her face in Jne's neck. Reaching up to stroke the pichu, Jen quickly thought of a desperate (and somewhat idiotic) idea to get Aeon out of there.
"AEON! Giga Impact!"
Giving Jen the "WTF?!" look, Aeon's fists began to glow a blue/green before he slammed them down on the net; thankfully, the attack did two things:
The Lava below rippled outwards like a pebble hitting a pool, calming the violent churning somewhat. And secondly:
The net sent Aeon flying towards the ceiling when thaat physical attack made contact. Positioning himself, Aeon sailied down and landed on a solid platform as the shockwave spread outwards again.

"Hyper beam, quickly!" Kazuki called, his hands clenching into fists. It was all down to the wire now, and it was all or nothing.
Ryou hissed a bit as his ears flicked backwards, feeling a shockwave from the attack racing through his body. He started charging the beam, anyway, focusing on Aeon. He couldn't see, but he didn't need to to be able to sense the bundle of flying energy that was the electric-type. As soon as Aeon landed on the platform, Ryou aimed, then sent the hyper beam soaring towards his opponent. Not long now...

"AEON! BRACE YOURSELF!"
Quickly digging his claws into the soft rock, Aeon cried out as the amber beam sliced across his arm; this made the burn their five times worse. As the light faded, Aeon was on his hindlegs while clutching at his limp arm as blood seeped through his fingers.
"C'mon buddy....you can do it...." Jen muttered to herself as she watched her exhausted pokemon from the trainer platform. It was down to the nitty-gritty and it was now or never!
"AEON! Hyper Beam!"
Another amber beam lite up the darkened stadium as the Raichu let loose the powerful energy. He was tired.....he didn't even know if it made contatct or not....

Ryou didn't need Kazuki to tell him to look out; he could feel the giant beam of energy shooting towards him without any verbal aid. Aeon's aim must have been a bit off, or the pillar might have been a bit too high; either way, the hyper beam collided full-force with the platform Ryou had been standing on. It shattered almost instantly, sending a shockwave through his body as he landed on the broken pillar, trying to cling to it as it began crumbling beneath him. "Bre?!" His ears flicked in a panic, panting badly enough as it is, and panned his senses to try and find where Aeon was. He seemed as badly hurt as the dark-type, so it was a bit harder to find him.
He flicked his ears, struggling to stay on the pillar. Thinking quickly, he let an aura of dark purple energy surround his body, his eyes glowing dark blue. He managed to pull himself up onto the pillar despite the chunks that insisted on falling off beneath his paws, and he jumped into the air. He focused most of the dark energy around his sides and head, and as soon as he was close to Aeon, he unleashed the energy into a massive dark pulse, sending waves of dark energy around the arena.

As the attack made contact, several thoughts drifted through the elder Raichu's mind....he had tasted his first defeat, and strangely....he didn't mind at all.
Slumping forward, Aeon laided there on the platform as Jen re-called the exhausted pokemon back into the pokeball container. Maybe it was because Abiba had been watching...maybe it was to show her that you couldn't win every fight, he didn't know.
Right now, all that mattered, was sleep.

Ryou landed on the only platform still intact, and stumbled forward a bit, his breaths ragged as he panted heavily, flicking the tip of his tail a bit. Kazuki pulled out his pokeball and returned the dark-type, intent on bringing him to the nearest pokemon center as soon as possible. Pocketing the ball, he offered Jen a wave and a meek smile. "That was an awesome battle! I'll see you later, Jen!" And with that, he turned and left. Chocolate cake and extra treats were in order.
