Halo Hedgey I dunno, a good friend of mine enjoys it an awful lot. Many people still enjoy it. It's just that some of us find it a touch tiresome. wink

I just hope that the Gaia Battle System doesn't get tiresome. I want it to be as addictive as Chao in SA2:B. That wasted over 450 hours of my life. 3nodding

I remember playing Diablo for hours and hours even though the game was essentially nothing but a huge dungeon crawl.
When I think back on it the whole process was: 1. go into the dungeon and kill monsters. 2. get stuff. 3. take stuff back to the village. 4. keep the good stuff 5. sell the rest of the stuff. 6. repeat.

I played Maple Story once. It was a nice idea, but the grind was pretty steep.
That and I don't think they really took advantage of it's side-scrolling layout. There were platforms, but it never really felt like a platform game. The side view was just sort of there.
Then again, I'm not much of an MMO person. Which is weird since I do like MUDs, but haven't played much recently because my favorite one is in the middle of rebuilding, and I never found any others that are as interesting.
That and I like a good dungeon crawl. So yeah, I can grind away at Etrian Odyssey or Demise for hours, but can't play a MMORPG, go figure.

That's essentially MapleStory for you; only that once in a while, you get good equipment drops from the monsters that you can sell at over inflated prices. Mostly level-grinding...even the quests are level-grinding quests that require you to kill x amount of monsters or get y amount of items. ...the usual, eh.
